Introduction

Vaelunie had one goal, find her other missing independent soul and finally live her life without having to wonder if the sun or the moon was fighting each other.

But who knew that her other soul was living a miserable life in another different realm and when she finally got back into her real body, she woke up in a middle of a burial... Her own burial.

Vaelunie made a promise, no one would get in the way of her retirement after three thousand years of fighting and guarding as the last eclipsian.

No one ,not even her scumbag of an ex, her elder sister, and especially not the grumpy verdant that glued himself to her side.

Chapter 1

Vaelunie pov

This has to be a joke ,I thought as I stared at the scene in front of her , the people sitting down all hard sorrowful faces and I could hear some wailing like the world was coming to an end.

The world was perfectly fine and it hasn't been up to one hour since I found out where my other half soul was sent too.

Until someone let out a deafening scream and I saw the look on their faces as they all stood up and backed away in horror.

“Sh….she…she is alive!”

One shouted barely able to speak properly as he pointed at me, I scoffed,of course I am alive, was I supposed to be dead in the first place?.

Ehh ,hold on,I then looked behind me and saw a priest sitting on the floor looking pale and then looked down at my body and saw I was sitting down in a box….. A box?

I shrieked in horror and jumped off from the place I was sitting on, I was actually sitting in a coffin , that means I was actually dead.

I couldn't even be bothered with the noise around me, I raised my hand and pinched my cheek hard enough to make it painful, yep this wasn't a dream.

Those damn bastards what the heck did they do to my body that has been living on its own.

“Vaelunie, you are alive? But you were supposed to be dead” an unknown woman's voice came from behind me,I turned around still confused at what was happening here and came face to face with a petite innocent lady, her eyes filled with tears.

Thawck!

A slap landed on my cheek before I knew what was going on and I felt the sting on my left cheek. That slap woke me up and I wondered if my other soul had been living in hell while I searched for it.

“You useless piece of thrash! You actually dare play a trick on us and pretend you were dead, just to avoid your responsibility!” an older woman yelled as she pointed at me.

My face was still turned sideways from the slap and I immediately recognized the voice of the woman that slapped me.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, both confused and also furious at these people that called themselves my family.

“What do you mean what are we doing here? You pulled this stunt on us and dared to pretend to be innocent. Do you know how heartbroken your elder sister has been, she has been blaming herself for your stupidity!" My mother screamed, the vein on her neck bulging.

I couldn't even fathom how or why I was still standing in front of these people that made my life a living hell until I nearly died because of them and that made me remember what my mission was in the first place.

I ran past them down the hall and walked out of the building and reality hit me harder than ever.

"Where am I?” I asked more to myself, people were still coming out from the building and what's more shocking was the setting of this place and the strange energy around the place and the people coming out.

Whispers grew around me about how I was supposed to be dead and those coming out waved their heads in pity, contempt and disgust, the dressing was different from what I knew.

" Vaelunie! Where do you think you are going? You have disgraced this family with your stunts, why can't you be more like your sister” My mother yelled again, they were rushing towards where I was standing.

I turned around and stared at those familiar faces I despise with every fiber of my bones.

……..

I was practically dragged into a carriage and they never stopped talking about how much I had disgraced them, it wasn't supposed to be like this, their faces were the same except the place, just an hour ago I was able to track down my other half soul that got separated after I descended into the mortal realm.

I woke up there in a different body that wasn't mine and that girl had died from overdosing herself with sleeping pills I didn't realize what was going on until I had a shock from allergies and that made me remember who I truly was and why I came down to earth and that reason was to retire and spend my days traveling around the world.

I am the last eclipsian born from the eclipse and have been guarding the immortal world and fighting the dark god until I finally won.

And I didn't have to worry about anything and even got to retired, who knew that bastard still tried to get in my way even though he was dead, his soul attacked me before it vanished and my soul was split and when I recovered my memories I began to track my other half.

And I had to leave that body which didn't belong to me. The original owner was dead already and I occupied her body. It was already against fate in the first place, though I wonder why that tricky fate weaver didn't say anything.

Was it revenge ? Because I accidentally burnt down her favorite garden and destroyed the rare ones she has been growing for decades.

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth,if I see her next time I will get my revenge.

I blocked out the noises inside the carriage and pulled the curtain open slightly and stared out of the window.

I left that body and found my other missing soul in a different dimension. I was happy to be in my real body again and I was still trying to settle down, what I never expected was to wake up in my own funeral.

What the heck has my other soul been doing all this time?I closed my eyes and took a deep breath ,my head still ached.

The street was filled with different looking people walking around, some even had long ears , though I haven't fully recovered yet, I could still feel that the energy around here was different from those of the mortals and the immortals.

Who the heck was in charge of this world?

As the carriage stopped in front of an unfamiliar building,I stepped down even before anyone could say anything,my eardrums were hurting because of all the shouting.

I didn't know if I should be angry or laugh at how absurd everything was, what I wanted to know was why these people were here.

As I stared at the building, memories began to flood into my head and the more I remember what my body had gone through, the angrier I got.

I started

laughing loudly enough to bring tears to my eyes.

“Has she gone mad?"

I should've taken the damn bus.

But no, I had to walk through the park at midnight like an idiot. Now I've seen something I can't unsee—a massive black wolf tearing apart three men, then shifting into the hottest guy I've ever laid eyes on.

Kieran Vaughn. Wealthy lawyer, werewolf, and apparently, he thinks I'm his mate.

Here's the problem: I don't do relationships. I definitely don't do supernatural things. I absolutely don't do rich guys who think they can control my life just because their inner wolf has decided I smell like home.

When hunters start targeting me to get to him, Kieran drags me into his pristine penthouse for "protection." Now I'm living with a man who looks at me like I'm his last meal, whose touch sets my skin on fire, and who's barely holding onto his control.

He says everyone he loves dies. I say that's not my problem except it is because I'm falling for this broken, dangerous man and his beast.

And in his world? Love will get you killed.
