Chapter 1
Rosetta's pov
"You're lucky to be getting out of here. Don't blow it on the outside" The correctional officer shot a hard glare at me.
The release officer who was signing my discharge form chuckled. "Don't mind him. You've been a pleasure to have here, Rosetta"
"I know her better…" the correctional officer's lips raised in a sneer as he looked up and down at me. "All she does here is be in gatherings of men that are way stronger than her and challenge them to a press-up"
"I am finally free from you Officer Ben" I muttered. "And don't worry. I'm going to do good on the outside. You will hear my name in all of your mouths."
"It better not be for crimes."
"I do not promise you that," I said, walking out the door leading to the parking lot.
Two years, yeah. That's right. Two freaking years in this fun hole. A punishment turned into a blessing, with amazing people and experience. Jail was not that bad.
I looked around in search of my boyfriend's car. He knew my release date and a call was put through to him yesterday to remind him.
He should be here by now. He was the first person I wanted to see since he never came to visit me once.
I looked around some more and when I realized he wasn't there I frowned. Why wasn't he here? I took out my phone from my pocket and dialed his number but it could not go through.
"Fuck!" I said out loud, with my hands on my hips. I paced the walkway outside the prison gates. If I had a means of transportation, I would be out of here in an instant.
"Hey!" I heard a familiar voice call out as I turned and saw Jessie running towards me. I couldn't help the smile that crossed my face and immediately my arms opened wide to receive her.
"Oh my God I can't believe you are finally out," she said and I laughed, hugging her tightly.
"Goodness, I missed you! You do not look like the mess I expected!" She said again, pulling herself away from me a little so I could look at her face.
"My calendar and alarm didn't fail to remind me that you were coming out today. I had rushed here to get you! Sorry, I'm late."
Now that was someone who cared. My best friend was the only prison guest I had during my stay. The last time she visited was a month ago and I had always looked forward to seeing her.
"I'm happy you came" I softly said and she pouted. Her eyes were teary like she had long heard my voice.
"I love you Rosetta and I'm the happiest girl to see you back into my life" Tears rolled down her cheek and I rolled my eyes, scoffing.
"Please don't do that. You have not changed."
"And you're still the same emotionless prick. Isn't this such an emotional moment?"
"It is not," I responded.
"Let's get you out of the sun and talk in the car," she said, after squinting for a while. She pulled my arms as we walked towards her car parked away from the gate.
There were burning questions to ask her. I wanted to ask her about how life had been two years without me. Most especially, I wanted to ask her about Bruce.
Why had he not come to visit me? Was he safe? Jessie and Bruce were the only ones who treated me like a human since I had been living with the Mafia monster Zayn Cutolo. If there was no one by my side, these two would always show up. Now it was just Jessie.
"You look great." I complimented them when we got to the car and Jesse blushed. "You finally got all of those smooth skin you've been praying for?"
"I had and it is expensive as hell. Got a job at the famous Mafia club in town" she whispered like she didn't want anyone in the station premises to hear her. "They pay really well and they have a lot of men that would spoil you. You should come some of these days" she winked.
"I have my man," I said rather possessively. Her brows raised in a question form.
"Bruce?" She asked. "You're talking about Bruce?" She frowned and I nodded. "Rosetta, the asshole was one of the reasons you're in here, and the first thing you do is think about him?"
"Well, you wouldn't tell me anything about him when you visit. I think it's time to say where Bruce is now."
"So you can’t go around looking for him?"
"I will," I asserted.
Jessie's frown remained on her face, as she turned to open the door to the back seat for me, urging me to go in. "Nice car," I said.
"I rented it" She rolled her eyes, turning to the other side to go sit down. "I rented the driver too, I'm not as rich as you think"
"Well, you said you have a nice job now."
"And the money is going into Dad and mum bills." After she had sat comfortably beside me in the back seat. She tapped the driver. "Please move and let's get my best friend out of this fucking tunnel!"
"Go straight to the point Jesse, what is wrong?" I asked, sounding impatient now as she would not speak about Bruce.
"Well, Bruce. The one you put in high regard so much is getting…Ah, how don't say this" she sighed, turning her head to my direction, staring right into my eyes. I had a stone glare, it was my resting face. She wasn't able to read my expression.
But I was panicking inside, afraid of what she was going to say about him.
"Bruce is getting married." She dropped the bomb.
"To who?" I asked, without expressing any emotion. My eyes fixed on the road as the driver sped off.
"Oh, you don't want to know."
"Trust me, I wanna know the fucking butch Bruce is getting married to." I was calm, outwardly. Inwardly, No. Nothing was calming about my boyfriend getting married after I spent two years in jail without him coming to visit.
"Nora" Jessie.
"The stupid tiny bitch!" I hit the glass of the window beside me, causing it to crack.
"Rosetta, I rented this!" Jessie screamed at my reaction. She was more bothered about paging for the damages, but it was boiling hit in my mind.
The same bitch! That night. It was Nora I had caught Bruce in a hotel, stark naked. Bruce had told me she had been forcing herself on him. I didn't believe that but I wanted her out of my man's life.
I had beaten her to a pulp that night. I saw them at the hotel and it was the reason for my jail terms. Her father, best friend to Zayn Cutolo, the Mafia monster I lived with, had ensured I paid for beating up his daughter.
With his influence, he had put me in jail.
"Someone is about to regret their decision" I muttered.
"Don't you dare do anything that would put you in jail again?" Jessie warned. "This is out of your control. If Bruce wanted you, he would have done better."
"Nothing is out of my control, Jessie" I glared at her. "I am Rosetta Gotti, daughter of great Mike Gotti, Boss of the Syndicate Mafia group"
"Keep the flatter. None of that exists anymore, Rosetta. Do you need a reminder that your father, Mike Gotti is dead and you do not have any influence as a mafia because everything has been taken away from you? You are a slave under Zayn! There is nothing in your control. And the fuck, what will you do when their wedding is already taking place today!"
I froze. "Today?"
"Yeah, Bruce and Nora are probably walking down the aisle already."
"Take me to the fucking venue!"

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
