Introduction
Chapter 1
My feet tapped incessantly against the floor as I tried not to choke on the scent of antiseptic coming from the janitor's closet that was cracked open at the other side of the hallway.
My gaze flitted to the classroom door and I resisted the urge to go peep inside where was he?
I don't know how long I stood there but I felt a hand clamp down on my shoulder and I jerked, almost dropping my phone in my startled state. “Jesus!” I exclaimed, whirling around to see Elowen Mirelle standing there, her face set in a grin. “Don't do that!” I almost snapped at her, clutching my chest while I swatted her hand away with a nervous chuckle.
She looked over my shoulder and sighed. “Will you stop following him around during school? You're beginning to make this a whole lot obvious.” She rolled her eyes at me as she hooked her hand around mine and pulled me forward against my protests.
“No Elowen, wait. We're supposed to grab coffee after school so I was just waiting for him ” I quickly said, trying to pull my hand away from hers but her grip was firm.
“Absolutely not.” She shook her head at me, giving me a small smile as she led me to the general hallway where the notice board was. “You can talk to your boyfriend later after school but right now…” She paused and went behind me as she pushed me forward, her hands coming up to cover my eyes.
“What the hell are you doing?” I said, making no effort to remove her hands even as I blindly navigated forward.
She didn't say a word but after a few seconds, she led me to a stop and moved her hands away. “Ta-da!” She grinned, unable to keep happiness out of her voice.
My gaze darted around the mess of papers that had been attached to the board and I frowned, wondering what she was talking about when I suddenly froze oh God.
Holy fuck.
The notice read: Performers for the annual rally prep for rugby and right there among the few cheerleaders selected was my name. I made it. Oh jeez, I was going to dance in front of the whole school! My dream had come true! If this worked out how I wanted it to, it would help boost my popularity, I would be able to get into Professor Hilda Laurent's class and… and
The bell rang, jerking me out of my thoughts just as class doors began to open and students started to fill the hallway with their voices as they all maneuvered their way home.
I still stood there starstruck, looking at the list like maybe if I looked away, it would change then
“Hmph, picking a charity student is way below the school's league.” A very familiar voice sneered behind me and I could feel Elowen shrink beside me.
Slowly, I turned around to see Aurelia Duvain lead cheerleader who clearly didn't want me in the team under the pretense that I was a liability to the team, but everyone secretly knew that she was scared of me taking her position. Not like they would ever let a nobody like me take it though.
Her friends flanked her and I could feel the condescending gazes they gave me, their lips turned downwards in a scowl as they glared openly at me.
“Congratulations on making the list.” I forced a smile while trying not to choke on my words. I was scared of her. No terrified. She could ruin my life if she wanted to. That was the power she held at this school.
Her face scrunched up in disgust like it was an insult to be complimented by me. “Ew.” She rolled her eyes and stalked off, her minions trailing right behind her.
Elowen let out a sigh of relief. “Jeez.” She shook her head as though coming out of a daze. “I'll see you later, yeah? Need to see Mr. Lancaster before he goes home because I flunked chemistry unfortunately.” She smiled one more time at me before sprinting down the almost empty hallway.
Right.
Blinking, I looked down the hallway and past the heads of students who were just going home where was Thorne Valerius?
Maybe he had gone out to his car. I started walking out of the building, feeling the cool air brush against my face as I stepped out into the day, my gaze glued to my phone while I dialed my mum's number. She was going to be pleased to hear this.
The phone rang three times then I heard a click followed by a shuffle. “Yes, baby? What is it?” My mum's soft voice came through the speaker.
“Mum! You won't believe it! I made the list! I can't wait for you to be here tonight at the rally!” I squealed into the mouthpiece, my eyes wide with excitement as I literally skipped through the parking lot.
At least before I heard something that made me freeze. “I can't come, baby.” She sounded breathless and I froze instantly.
“Where… are you, Mum?” I asked, my voice a mumble because something told me that I wouldn't like whatever she had to say.
There was silence again not for long though, because she gasped softly and I could swear I heard a groan in the background as well as the faint sound of flesh meeting.
Without thinking, I ended the call, tears stinging my eyes as I found myself drawn back to reality the reality that my mum was a stripper and slept around with men for money.
Right.
I wiped the corner of my eyes with my hoodie as I sighted Thorne Valerius leaning on his Audi, his fingers tapping away at his phone, brows scrunched up at the screen.
That right there was the only thing that made sense in the mess of the world I lived in my boyfriend and the most popular rugby player in school who asked me out in the first year. At least, asked me out then told me that my reputation was in a different world from his so we had to keep things a secret for years.
I couldn't blame him. I wouldn't be caught dead dating myself too. I had been bullied all my stay at this school so he was simply protecting both of us by keeping our relationship a secret no matter how infuriating it felt sometimes.
“Baby,” I called out, walking briskly to him with a wavering smile.
He looked up but the look on his face was nothing short of annoyed what was wrong? No one was around.
He pushed himself off the car, his face set in a frown as he turned his phone toward me, his other hand tucked into his pocket. “Seriously? When were you going to tell me? It’s bad enough that I have to date you, but I can’t date a stripper’s daughter,” he spat.
Str… stripper?
My heart pounded as tears blurred my vision. On his screen — posted less than two minutes ago in the school group chat — was a picture of my mum, scantily dressed at the bar, wrapped around a customer.
Laughter broke out behind me. More phones lifted. Recording.
Something inside me snapped.
Before I even realized what I was doing, my hand flew across his face.
The crack echoed through the parking lot — and everything went dead silent.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.

But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

Shattered Girl
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. Was that too much?” I could see the worry in his eyes as I took a deep breath.
“I just didn’t want you to see all my scars,” I whispered, feeling ashamed of my marked body.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
