Reborned- Redeeming My Contracted Husband
Nina GoGo · Completed · 30.3k Words
Introduction
Before turning eighteen, she was one of the most prominent merchant heiresses in New York, showered with love and affection by her parents.
Later, her father trusted the wrong people and incurred huge debts, leading to his imprisonment. After her mother learned that her father had committed suicide in prison, she hastily sent Aileen abroad, only to follow her father into the afterlife.
Her amber eyes struggled as she realized that if God was giving her another chance, she wouldn't live as timidly and meekly as in her previous life.
She gazed quietly at the black and white photo on the tombstone.
The man in the photo had thin lips and a pair of gloomy eyes under thick eyebrows, devoid of warmth. Geoffrey was born from humble origins, his parents had long passed away, and he was a silent and unsociable doctor during his lifetime.
Aileen felt guilty as she realized that this man, who was legally closest to her, she never truly understood him, nor did she ever invest any thoughts in him. But he silently gave her the whole world.
Reborned, she would try to understand him and change their future, and this loveless contract marriage. Then she learned that their encounter was earlier than she predicted.

Chapter 1
In front of the tombstone stood a woman wearing a black dress, with fair and translucent skin, giving her a mysterious and indifferent appearance.
Withered leaves swept by, and her slender body swayed in the wind, as if about to drift away with it.
Aileen gazed quietly at the black and white photo on the tombstone, her eyes filled with intense concentration, as if she wanted to understand the person in the picture.
The man in the photo had thin lips and a pair of gloomy eyes under thick eyebrows, devoid of warmth. Geoffrey, born from humble origins, his parents had long passed away, and he was a silent and unsociable person during his lifetime. After being executed by marksmanship, his body was cremated, and Dirk brought back his ashes.
Aileen felt guilty as she realized that this man, who was legally closest to her, she never truly understood him, nor did she ever invest any thoughts in him.
A graceful and wealthy middle-aged woman approached, holding an umbrella, and said gently, "Aileen, let's go. Staring at Geoffrey like this won't bring him back. Let's return to England and start a new life."
"Aunt..." Aileen hugged the middle-aged woman addressed as aunt, her voice breaking, and she sobbed uncontrollably.
Half a month ago
On a spacious white bed lay a woman, the twilight's dim light shining through the window, illuminating her fair face, making her features even more distinct. Even with her eyes closed, her beauty remained untouched.
Faint breathing, an almost motionless chest, and pale skin with faint blue veins made it seem as if the person on the bed was not in deep slumber but rather an empty vessel.
Time passed little by little, and the woman's eyelids twitched.
Hasty footsteps sounded, and with a "snap," the silence was broken.
Another woman's surprised voice rang out, "Mr. Dirk, Miss Aileen is awake!"
Aileen struggled to open her eyes, feeling a strong light she couldn't adjust to. She wanted to lift her hand but found it to be too weak.
When she fully opened her eyes, she saw an old man wearing a white coat. Upon seeing her, the face full of wrinkles let out a sigh of relief, and his eyes welled up with excitement.
"Aileen, you've finally woken up."
As if remembering something, Dirk said to the female nurse behind him, "Dim the lights a bit."
Aileen's mind was still numb, her limbs felt like they were filled with lead, and she looked around. The warm-toned lights in the cold-toned room made it feel cozy. Her throat felt dry. "Is this... a hospital?"
Dirk nodded, "This is T.C Methodist Hospital. But do you feel uncomfortable anywhere in your body?"
T.C Methodist Hospital.
Aileen's memories gradually returned. This was the hospital Geoffrey was associated with, and the elder before her was his university mentor, Mr. Dirk.
However...
As she observed Dirk, a strange emotion surfaced in her eyes. The Mr. Dirk in her memory seemed somewhat different from the one before her. Something seemed off. Just as Aileen lowered her head to ponder, her head began to buzz as if it exploded.
After a while, she managed to utter a sentence.
"Only my body feels heavy. Is Geoffrey in the hospital?"
Her gaze turned to the space behind Mr. Dirk. She remembered that even though her marriage with Geoffrey was icy, he always pretended to be a good husband in front of others. But today, she didn't see him, which didn't fit his style.
Upon hearing Aileen's confusion, Dirk's expression suddenly became strange, and he avoided her gaze.
Seeing this, Aileen recalled Geoffrey's appearance when he found out about her late-stage leukemia, and she understood. Their marriage was devoid of love and stemmed from their mutual needs. Perhaps he had already decided to divorce her, not to mention she was still a burden now.
"Mr. Dirk, I know, you don't have to worry. I am already a dying person, and I won't ask much of him."
The sadness in Mr. Dirk's eyes deepened, and he shook his head, "Don't misunderstand Geoffrey, he..."
Dirk gazed tenderly at Aileen, who was younger than his own daughter. Having been a doctor for more than forty years, he had become desensitized to life, death, and illness. However, facing the plight of this young women before him, he couldn't help but feel heartache.
"Aileen, do you know how long you've been asleep? Eight years, a whole eight years."
His words struck Aileen's already numb heart like a bell toll, bringing forth a wave of sorrow.
Eight years...
She silently repeated these two words in her heart. No wonder when she first saw Mr. Dirk, she felt something strange. It turned out to be the traces of eight years.
The hospital room fell silent. Aileen reluctantly stirred her colorless lips, "I understand, Mr. Dirk."
Turning over, tears fell from the corners of her eyes onto the pillow. "I'm a bit tired, I want to rest for a while." She no longer wanted to bother with right or wrong. Having spent eight years lying down, God unexpectedly gave her another chance to wake up.
"Alright, alright, then rest well." Mr. Dirk looked thoughtfully at the woman turned away from him and left the room.
The nurse hurriedly followed Dirk and whispered, "Why didn't you tell Miss Aileen the truth? She'll find out sooner or later."
"Let's take it slow. Aileen just woke up, let's not give her too much shock." Dirk's eyes, clouded with experience, squinted.
"Don't let anyone else disturb her during this time."

Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.

And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
