Introduction
"Vanessa, I don't..."
"You don't what?" I dared him.
"I don't... I don't know what you're saying" He stuttered.
"You're not even sure." I shook my head. "Would you choose me over her?"
"Vanessa..." Richard called out
"Answer me!" I yelled
"I don't know okay? I don't know!" He yelled back.
"That's what I thought" I laughed painfully, grabbing my things and running out of the house.
Vanessa Willow, a well known event planner in her city crossed path with Richard Blackwood, a CEO of a Tech Invention Company. They didn't start on good footing since Richard portrayed himself initially as an egoistical, perverted and annoying client. All Vanessa wanted was to be done with the project that brought them to be together but Richard wanted more.
A night together leads to a tragic event in the life of Vanessa. Vanessa lost everything including herself but she had only one reason to keep pushing. She knew she wouldn't have trusted the Rich Billionaire. She thought she knew him better but it turned out she didn't. Where does she go from here? Will there be a light at the end of the tunnel? Will she be able to heal? Will she overcome this phase? Is she willing to forgive despite the fact that she has forgotten?
But first of all, What exactly happened between them?
I guess we'll read to find out.
Chapter 1
Vanessa's POV
Living on my own is something I've been doing since I was little. You'd think my parents didn't want to see my face or something. But surprisingly, they don't just do it to me. They also do it to all my siblings
My name is Vanessa Willow. I am so many things. I can be sweet, rude, wild, calm, life of the party, nerdy, badass, you name it. I have 2 siblings. An elder sister and a twin that doesn't look like me. What's the word, un-identical? Yeah, something like that.
"Hello, Vanessa on the line. Can you send me my working schedule for the week. Thank you Brittany" I sighed, throwing my clothes on the bed.
Forgive me for being messy. The thing is, I dont have what to wear.
Okay that's not true but you know a situation where you have what to wear. I mean, there are tons of clothes to wear but you still feel like you don't have what to wear. Yeah that's right! That's me right now.
"Arghhh! Nahhh not doing this right now" I laid down on my bed helplessly.
"Let me guess, you're indecisive again" Rebecca said, shaking her head at me.
"When you say indecisive, you make it sound as though maybe there were tons of clothes to pick from but maybe they were all too good that I just couldn't pick one" I closed my eyes
"Just shut up! We have 30mins. You're 23 years Vee. I don't need to dress you up always" Rebecca sighed, but nevertheless she began to search my closet for something I'll wear.
Yeah! my best friend is a life saver.
"Maybe I'm not ready to be a grown up. And besides, you're the fashionista. I'm just an event planner" I shrugged
"Up up up!!! Try this on Boss" Rebecca threw a gown on my face. Yeah, throw it all on my face bitch. It's not like you're the first, baby.
I won't say this to her though or else I sure will be getting it hot. Don't mess with Becca. Daily Reminder.
"And besides Becca, try calling me before you barge into my house. I could be banging. In fact, who gave you the keys to my house?" I shimmed myself into the gown I never knew I had. I swear I didn't see it. Nah I'm sure I never had it and maybe Becca sneaked it in because how come?
"Pfft! Bitch you don't bang on working week and my best friend was the one who gave me the keys to her house. Sometimes I wonder why I answer you" Rebecca said, arranging the mess I made. See why I love her? "Tell me you've made breakfast" she glared at me
"Can i lie?" I turned my back so she could zip my dress up
"You have gat to be kidding me!" She groaned
"We'll just eat out. No biggie" I walked into my shoe closet to pick a shoe that I think will fit this beautiful gown that I never knew I had
"Like you've got the whole day. Today is Monday and I'm sure you have shit ton of events to plan Boss" she closed my closet after chucking everything inside.
"You act like my mother. Just use a bursted condom already" I groaned
"Haha! A very polite way to tell me to have my own kids" She chuckled lightly
"I'm glad you got it. You're getting smarter girl" I laughed. I put on my lip gloss which is the finish touch. "Let's go mama! You have Models to handle" I dragged her out.
Sorry my bad, meet Rebecca Bethel. My wild, sassy best friend. She's got eyes for only me and I don't share. We've been friends since high school. Like I said, I've always not been at home. In high school I was in a boarding school where I met this pretty girl who happened to be my roommate. And then we went to college together too and also lived together in an apartment. Not something that happens everytime between best friends right? But then, we parted ways for two years because, of course we had our lives and dreams.
And here we are again, just that we're independent this time. She travels a lot more than I do. She runs a modelling agency while I run an event planning company.
"Seatbelts!" Ethan, Becca's drivers said to me since I'm sitting at the passenger seat.
"Good morning to you too. Why can't I carry my car" I whined
"You're welcome" Becca said while fiddling with her phone
"I didn't even thank you" I turned to face her, staring at her with a plain look.
"You were suppose to. Hey Becca! Thank you for the free ride, at least my hands wont be on the wheels and I can relax a bit too and oh thank you for letting him pick me from work too. You are welcome Bestie" she smiled at me while using a high pitch voice to imitate me.
"You're just too extra." I frowned playfully. "Thank you" I muttered
"Shove it up your ass pretty girl" she chuckled and I just shake my head. She's crazy
"How was your night, Ethan" I smiled at Ethan but he just gives me a curt nod. "Oh hell no, Mister! If you're going to pick me up from work today then I suggest you learn how to make use of your tongue." I scolded him and he just chuckled briefly. If that's even something.
I should have said vocals not tongue. Because looking at it now, tongue sounds badddd and naughty. Oh whatever.
"You're here ma'am" he said, politely still looking at the building.
"Avoiding eye contact, are we?" I smirked at him
"Nah nah! Out you bitch. Not with my personal driver!" Becca yelled and I laughed
"You better get ready to talk later when you come to pick me, Handsome" I winked at Ethan. "I love you too Becca. And I'm going before you cut off my neck" I blew her a kiss and slammed the door before taking a deep breath and walking into my investment.
I remember working my ass off. Late night reading, no sleep at all, empty stomachs, so much tears, extracurricular activities, all for this. Let's not even talk about when I was starting it up and all the failed attempts. I'm glad I didn't give up. My consistency and positivity has gotten me this far. Be intentional and consistent my dear!
"Today please be good" I put on my work face and stepped into the building.
It's good to stay positive and hope for the best right?
Well, that's my mood for today

Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
The mafia princess return
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Invisible To Her Bully
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.

Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.

Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
