Chloe · Completed · 247.3k Words
Introduction
This was absolutely ridiculous!
What was even more ridiculous was that when I was two months pregnant, this heartless man threw me a divorce agreement—he wanted to divorce me!
He was the one who forced me to marry him, and he was also the one who wanted to divorce me!
What did he take me for? A sex toy? Desperately needed when convenient, then discarded like trash when no longer useful!
I left him in anger and gave birth to our child alone.
When we met again, I had become a shining movie star under the spotlight, with countless fans and admirers!
He looked at me in disbelief, utterly shocked...
Chapter 1
"Come on, Mr. Wilson. Be reasonable, will you? Your fiancée started yelling at me first!" Charlotte Harris stared at the man in front of her, his face cold but still devastatingly handsome, with a look of exasperation.
Alexander Wilson glared down at her, his voice icy and precise. "If you hadn't argued with her, would she have stormed off?"
"We didn't argue. She barged in, started yelling about how unhappy she was with the wedding setup, and demanded it be redone. There's less than an hour until the wedding—how am I supposed to redo everything?" Charlotte was at her wit's end. Rich folks were really hard to please.
The wedding was set up exactly as she had requested. Yesterday, she said she was thrilled and loved it. Today, out of nowhere, she threw a fit and ran off. Rich girls could be so capricious!
Everyone in Phoenix City knew that Alexander Wilson, heir to the Wilson Group, had a fiancée he'd known since childhood. They were often seen together in newspapers and on TV—handsome man, beautiful woman, a perfect match.
The Wilson Group owned the largest film and television enterprise in the country, producing half of the nation's TV shows and movies. Their celebrities were all well-known. Besides entertainment, they were also involved in retail, food, and fashion, making them the top group in Phoenix City.
At twenty-nine, Alexander was both wealthy and influential, the richest man in Madison State, and a regular on global rich lists, one of the most influential people in the world.
With such a dazzlingly wealthy man, everything had to be perfect. His fiancée's background was equally illustrious in Phoenix City.
Sophia Taylor, daughter of the Taylor family, the second most influential family in Phoenix City, renowned for their jewelry business. Their company, Grace Jewelry, employed top designers from around the world and was a prestigious brand.
It was only a matter of time before these two families became in-laws. They had been betrothed since childhood, and Sophia marrying into another wealthy family was a natural progression.
But no one expected the bride to run away an hour before the wedding, leaving twenty-six-year-old Sophia to embarrass Alexander at the wedding venue.
Faced with Alexander's accusations, the usually strong and independent Charlotte didn't argue back. After all, who could be in a good mood in such a situation?
However, he blamed her entirely for Sophia's runaway act, and at twenty-two, just starting her career, Charlotte felt overwhelmed.
"It's not your fault that you're young, but don't you get that the customer is always right?" Alexander's face was expressionless, his voice even colder.
If it weren't for his uncle's strong recommendation, he wouldn't have chosen this wedding planning company or this woman. What kind of top planner was she if Sophia ran away?
Today's lesson: young people couldn't be trusted.
"She was satisfied yesterday. Who knew she'd change her mind so fast? But I don't think she'd run away just because of that, so you can't put all the blame on me." Charlotte looked up, meeting his ice-cold stare.
Their eyes locked, and the air seemed to thin. The two staff members present felt the tension and shrank back in fear.
Alexander was about to speak when his phone buzzed. It was a message from Sophia.
The little hope he had shattered as he read the message.
"Alexander, forgive me for leaving without a word. I still haven't figured out if I want to spend my life with you. Don't come looking for me because you won't find me. This time, it's my fault. I'm sorry."
Alexander let out a bitter laugh. So this was the real reason she ran away.
"Just once? Sophia, are you sure you've only deceived me once?" he whispered softly.
You said you wanted to marry me, and now you're running away. Sophia, what do you take me for? Something you pick up on a whim and discard when you lose interest, or just one of your many backup boyfriends?
Fine, very well!
Don't think I, Alexander, can't live without you!
Alexander's eyes turned cold as he looked at the pretty woman in front of him, pulling her up and marching towards the dressing room.
Charlotte was startled by his sudden move. She stumbled after him, hurriedly saying, "I know I made some mistakes. I apologize..."
"If I'm not mistaken, your father is the new mayor of River City, Robert Harris, right?" He suddenly stopped, and Charlotte bumped into his chest.
"Throwing yourself at me? I didn't expect Ms. Harris to be so enthusiastic." He sneered, staring at her delicate face.
Charlotte quickly stepped back, stunned. How did he know?
She had kept it a secret, but considering his resources, it wasn't surprising. But what did he mean by bringing it up now?
"Your father has been close to some colleagues recently, but they've all been arrested for corruption." Alexander's smile turned dangerous. "Corruption is something people usually turn a blind eye to, but I suddenly find your father's position as mayor very interesting."
"What do you mean?" Charlotte's brows furrowed. What was he trying to do? "If my father hasn't done anything wrong, you can investigate all you want."
Alexander chuckled wickedly. "I know your father is clean, but I can make sure he isn't. I, Alexander, have that ability."
"You're shameless! What do you want?" Charlotte gritted her teeth, wishing she could strangle him.
This was a blatant threat!

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
