The bad boys, new girl
Emma- Louise · Completed · 78.2k Words
Introduction
Well, that is what I thought. I was proven wrong on my first day when I caught the attention of someone. Asher! The schools bad boy. I chose not to trust him, because let's face it, you should never trust a bad boy because they have all the wrong intentions.
But, I was soon proven wrong because he became something I never knew that I needed. He shows me how to live life in a way I never imagined. He becomes the one person I experience many first with.
Even when it felt like the rest of the world was trying to pull me down, Asher is the one pulling me right back up. No one said life was easy, and that is true, especially when the people around us do everything they can to keep us apart.
Nothing worth it, is ever easy, though.
Chapter 1
Farrah
I sat in my car, outside of what will be my new school. I took a few deep breaths, and I was so nervous. I would be going here for my last year in high school. I hated that we had to move, but my dad got a job offer he couldn’t refuse. I was still sort of mad at them. I hated that I had to leave my two best friends behind.
On the other hand, I would be glad to get away from all the assholes! I got picked on at my old school, why, I do not know, but it happened. I can only hope this place isn’t the same. I had already been in for my induction yesterday. I was dreading it, but I don’t have a choice. I took one last deep breath, grabbing my bag and got out of the car.
I sighed, keeping my head down as I made my way inside. I went to find my locker. I got shown it yesterday. My first class of the day was Maths. I hated maths. It isn’t that I couldn’t do it, it just bored me. I arrived at my locker, putting my code in and putting my things away that I do not need for the moment.
I was ignoring the eyes I could feel burning into me. Everyone wondering who the new girl was. I am sure they will get over it soon enough. I kept my head in my locker for longer than I needed. I checked the time, seeing the bell would ring any minute. I pulled away, closing my locker over. I turned around, going to find my first class, but a guy had blocked my path.
“Who are you?” I hear a guy ask.
I look up, and when I do, I forget to breathe for a moment. He was gorgeous; I have never seen anyone like him. He had his dark hair sort of messy, but it suited him. His eyes a dark brown, with a hint of green. He had a piercing on his lip and a tattoo on his neck. He was dressed in black, with only a white tee under his leather jacket.
“Has no one ever told you, it was rude to stare,” He said.
“Um, sorry,” I said, looking at the ground.
I was so embarrassed, and I could feel the heat on my cheeks.
“So, who are you?” He asked again.
“Farrah,” I said in barely a whisper.
“You are supposed to look at someone when you talk to them,” He laughed.
I slowly lifted my head to make eye contact with him. He had a smirk playing on his lips when I did. I chewed on my cheek nervously, pushing my hair behind my ears, two of my habits when I was nervous.
“Sorry,” I stuttered out.
The stranger stepped into me, placing his hand on the lockers behind me. I swallowed hard, the smell of his aftershave hitting me. He smelt as good as he looked. This wasn’t like me. I am not the sort of girl that does the whole dating thing. I was too shy for all that, plus no guys at my old school were interested in me.
“Are you always this shy?” He laughed.
I nodded, looking away from him. I was struggling to think straight with him being this close to me. He moved his hand, pushing a stray hair away from my eyes, and much to my embarrassment a small whimper fell from my lips. Could I make any more of a fool of myself right now?
“Anyway, see you around, new girl,” He winked, pulling away and walked away.
I stood there, trying to work out what the heck just happened. I watched him as he headed over to a couple of guys, who I am assuming are his friends. I told him my name, but he never told me his. I gave myself a shake and headed to find my class, and luckily, I found it no bother. There were already a few people in the class, all eyes on me as I entered. I looked around, searching for a seat. I spotted one, down the front. I rushed over to it, sitting down and ignored the eyes now burning into my back.
I twiddled my thumbs, trying to busy myself until the teacher came in and the rest of the students. I made sure the headmaster knew that I do not want to be pulled up in front of the class and introduced to everyone when I met him yesterday. My anxiety couldn’t handle it. Luckily, he was OK with that and understood.
“Good morning class,” A female voice said, walking in.
I looked up. I am guessing that was my teacher Mrs Chambers. The other students muffled out good mornings, Mrs Chambers laughing. She came over to me.
“You must be Farrah,” She smiled, “I am Mrs Chambers, I will be your math teacher for the year,” She added.
“Yes, that is me,” I said softly, smiling back at her.
“I know this is a lot, but you will be OK,” She smiled.
“I hope so, thank you,” I said.
The bell rang, and the rest of the students came pilling into the class, taking their seats. Most of them came in with another person or two, but then a girl walked in herself. She looked around and came over sitting next to me.
“Is it OK if I sit here?” She asked nervously.
“Of course,” I smiled.
She thanked me, sitting down next to me. I had a feeling she was similar to me, an outcast of sorts.
“I am Violet,” She said softly.
“Farrah,” I smiled, “Nice to meet you,” I added.
“You too,” She said with a sweet smile.
We stopped talking after that, only because Mrs Chambers started the lesson. She went through the registration, to make sure everyone was here that was supposed to be.
“Asher Martin?” She called out, looking around, “Has anyone seen Asher?” She added sighing.
No one answered her, so she just shook her head and got on with the lesson. I had a feeling whoever Asher was, this was a common thing for him, not showing up to classes.
Everyone was getting on with work; it was already halfway through the lesson. Suddenly the door swung open.
“Sorry, I am late, Miss,” I hear a familiar voice say.
I looked up and seeing it was the guy from this morning walking in. Is he in this class? I tried my best to concentrate on my work and not look at him.
“Late? The lesson is halfway through, Asher,” Mrs Chambers said.
“I lost track of time, sorry,” He said, rolling his eyes.
“Sit down, and do not disturb the rest of the class,” Mrs Chambers said.
I got on with my work, trying not to look up at Asher. At least I knew his name now. I was hoping he wouldn’t spot me.
“Hey new girl,” I hear, the chair next to me getting pulled out.
I lifted my head, looking to my right, and there he was, sitting right next to me.
“Um, hello, again,” I said softly.
I smiled at him and then got back to work. I do not need him distracting me on my first day.
“You don’t say much, do you?” He spoke.
“I am trying to do my work,” I whispered.
“What fun is that?” He spoke.
“Asher will you be quiet and let Farrah get on with her work,” Mrs Chambers said.
Asher mumbles something under his breath. He sat back on the chair, taking his phone out and playing with it. I was watching him out the corner of my eye, not wanting to seem obvious.
“Asher put that away, or you will be in detention after school,” Mrs Chambers said.
“Just a normal day for me,” He shrugged, not looking away from his phone.
“Detention after school, Asher,” she said firmly.
“Whatever, I am going to go now, I am bored,” He said.
Mrs Chambers never got a chance to say anything before Asher got up, headed straight for the door. He stopped for a moment, his attention falling on me.
“Wanna join me, new girl?” He smirked.
I slumped down on my chair, shaking my head. He laughed loudly, heading out and closing the door behind him. I could feel everyone’s eyes on me again. I chose to ignore them.
I don’t know what his game is, but I am staying away from him. He had trouble written all over him.

I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
