NINA'S POV

A smile formed on my face as I tied the knot of the bracelet I made for me and Leo's one year anniversary.

"It's complete at last…"I muttered as I stared so lovingly at the bracelet in my arm, nostalgic memories flooding my mind.

It was exactly one year today since I got into a romantic relationship with Leo, the love of my life. Our families were good friends for so many years and we had known each other ever since we were little kids so it was quite natural that we entered a romantic relationship with each other. He was everything I could ever wish for; caring, loving, kind, and I knew he would never cheat on me with other women.

I had always loved Leo and cherished our relationship, needless to say, he was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I twirled the bracelet in between my fingers and a wave of nostalgic memories washed over me. I could remember when he got on one knee and asked me to be his girlfriend, I could also remember our first night together and how he took my virginity away and I never regretted not even a single moment with him.

Today marked our one year anniversary together so I wanted to do something really special for him. So, I was going to give it my best and I really hope my best was worth it. I had single handedly prepared this bracelet from scratch and I was planning to give it to him during our dinner date later in the day.

"Ugh! Quit the daydreaming girl!"Nora, my best friend's voice interrupted me, snapping me back to reality. "You can have those dirty thoughts when Leo comes home but for now you need to stay focused and fully prepared for tonight!"

Slowly, I turned to face her, my cheeks flushing as I blushed terribly. Nora had a thing with words and she knew how to use it well.

"Tsk…"I clicked my tongue, trying to hide my embarrassment. "Quit saying nonsense now, Nora"I rolled my eyes as I walked past her, playfully hitting her with my elbow as I walked away.

"Hey, come back here now!"Nora scolded as she ran towards me, her tone dripping with excitement.

"No!"I yelled out as I hastened my steps, running away from her. I knew what she wanted to force me into doing but I didn't want to!

"Come back here right now!"She ordered as she chased after me but I stubbornly increased my steps.

"Stay away from me you ... .you pervert!"I yelled out as I burst into laughter, Nora was a lover of all things sexy and she was ready to go all in and seduce even the most stone cold man on earth while me on the other hand was really bad at anything romance or sexy, but, my time with Leo had made me grow a lot in that aspect and I was now good at it.

But, I could not do what Nora was suggesting I do for our anniversary night! She wanted me to wear sexy cosplay lingerie and seduce him at night but I could not bring myself to do it!

Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms grab me tightly and there was no place for me to escape.

"Where do you think you're running to, you little banshee?!"Nora asked as she tightened her grip around me, the both of us laughing so hard.

"Let go of me, you lunatic!"I yelled out as I struggled to break free from her iron grip but it was almost impossible!

After what felt like an eternity of trying to free myself, I stopped struggling and finally gave in.

"Okay…okay…"I exhaled deeply, giving up. "I give up, okay! Use me as your laboratory rat!"

"Quit being dramatic now, Nina"Nora chuckled as she released her grip on me and then held me by my wrist tightly so that I wouldn't run off again as she led me back to the room.

As we arrived, she walked towards the wardrobe and brought out a catwoman cosplay lingerie set, the sight alone made me crease my forehead into a frown.

"You don't expect me to wear that, do you?"I asked with disbelief.

" What do you think?"Nora scoffed as she held it up to my face.

Staring at the catwoman lingerie made me have a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. I bit down on my lower lips, trying to stop myself from having dirty thoughts of what I could do with Leo, the love of my life, in this sultry outfit.

"I.. I'm not putting that on"I scoffed, shaking my head.

"Yes you are,"Nora said.

She finally succeeded in making me put on the lingerie and as I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I could hardly believe the person I was seeing was actually me!

The lingerie was a two piece outfit; a sexy lace bra that only covered my nipples, exposing a very good amount of my boobs and a g-string pantie. The outfit came along with a catwoman belt and whip and I couldn't help but think of the use of the whip.

"Do you like your outfit?"Nora smirked as she stared at me with satisfaction.

"What…no!"I frowned but deep down, I couldn't wait to see the look on Leo's face when he saw me in such an outfit.

I could literally feel his hot breath on my face and neck as he planted soft kisses on my body. I was madly in love with Leo.

Suddenly, a sweet aroma hit my nostrils and my eyes widened with shock as I raced to the kitchen and quickly turned off the oven. I was preparing the meal for our dinner date and I had forgotten about that!

"That was close…"Nora laughed as I brought out the turkey from the oven, thankfully, it wasn't burnt.

I glared at her evilly and placed the turkey on the kitchen counter. Just as I was about to start prepping the other things, the buzzing sound of my phone interrupted me.

The moment I saw the caller ID read "Leo,"my heart jumped and I eagerly answered the phone, careful not to mention my anniversary preparations.

Before I could even speak, I heard unmistakable sounds coming from the other end—female moans, loud and uninhibited. Alarm bells went off in my head and I strained to recognize the voice. When realization dawned, my world came to a screeching halt. It was May, my step sister!

"Leo!"I shouted, fear and betrayal lacing my voice. "What is going on?"

"Faster!"May's cries of ecstasy over the phone seared my heart like a branding iron, leaving a mark of betrayal. It couldn't be my Leo, he would never be unfaithful, not with my own step sister! But deep down, I knew the truth was staring me in the face.

As May purred into the phone, I held my breath, praying for a different reality. My prayers went unanswered as I heard her speak. "Do you love me, Leo?"

That was my Leo!

Every fiber of my being shook as my heart shattered, the pieces scattering like glass shards across the floor. The man I'd trusted, the man I'd cherished, had betrayed me in the most unimaginable way.

The tears fell in a torrent, hot and relentless. I could barely hear May's voice over the roaring of my own blood in my ears, every word a fresh stab of agony.

"I...love you...always have...always will..."Leo's deep, honeyed voice echoed in my mind, tormenting me.
