Chapter 1
ROSA’s POV
“Your ride is here.”
I quickly and happily jumped off the bed, and ran downstairs with my heels and my beautiful red dress. I could feel the butterflies in my belly dancing. My heart was racing, and I couldn't wait any longer.
When I got downstairs, my Nana and sister stared at me with joy and utmost love in their eyes and hearts.
“You look like a Disney princess, Rosa.”
My Nana showered praises on me, while my sister, Pearl, just stared in awe.
“Nana, she will be late, go now, and don't forget to call us once you get there, huh?”
Pearl yelled out, and I nodded.
My heels clicked on the pavement as I walked outside to the car. I hesitated, glancing back at the house, while my sister and Nana waved me goodbye.
I smiled at them and got into the car.
“Are you ready, madam?”
“Yes, I am.”
The car reeked of stale beer and sweat, but I was too happy to care about that.
I didn't care about the music playing in the car as I was focused on only one thing, Jordan.
The guy who approached me 6 months ago, just immediately after my mother died. I was helpless and needed closure. He came into my life and now, I love him more than life itself.
“How long before we get there, driver?”
I asked nervously, stressing out the word ‘driver’ as I fixed my makeup.
“10 minutes, madam.”
I nodded and wiggled my toes.
One year ago, I would never have dreamed of having a man as sweet as Jordan. My last boyfriend was as toxic as a bull, but I stayed because I didn't want to be alone and end up like my mother did.
Both Pearl and I grew up without a father. Before our mother died, she was a drunkard. She would get drunk, and blame her misfortunes on me and my sister.
So, it was really easy to move on from our mother’s death, as we never truly bonded.
“We are there, madam.”
I immediately snapped out of my own world and smiled.
I had always imagined my life with Jordan, and I hope we get to spend our lives together.
I got out of the car and glanced around before crossing over to the other side of the road where the restaurant Jordan told me to meet him was.
As I walked into the place, I was welcomed by a saint of different dishes, and just like I expected it was a magnificent place.
“Jordan really outdid himself.”
I mumbled, my voice filled with excitement and gratitude.
I looked around, my eyes wandering about, trying to get to Jordan, but I couldn't find him.
“He clearly said 8 pm, right? This is 8:30 pm. Where.. Where is he?”
I stuttered as I hated disappointments, and I had been making plans for this date ever since he told me about it.
I wandered about the place, looking for Jordan.
I got angry and was ready to leave. Immediately I stomped outside the place, and I saw Jordan smiling at me from across the room. My irritation faded, and I was back to smiling.
He ran to me and we both hugged each other lightly.
“Did I keep you waiting? I am sorry. I forgot something important, and I had to rush back.”
Jordan whispered, his voice hoarse from alcohol and joy.
‘Has he been drinking?’
I thought to myself, but I didn't let it bother me.
We got back into the restaurant and took our seats.
One of the waiters brought in a plate with a cover on top of it, and I was shocked because we hadn't placed any order yet.
“Um.. I think you are mistaken.. We..”
I stared at Jordan’s face, expecting him to back me up, but instead, he waved at the waiter, and she walked away.
“Jordan, we haven't ordered yet, what.. What.. What is..”
“Why not take a look, Rosa?”
I rolled her eyes, and immediately I took the cover off the plate, I was stunned by what I saw.
“Will you marry?”
Was written boldly with chocolate.
Jordan immediately went down on one knee and brought out a ring from his pocket.
“Hey, sweet thing. I was wondering if you would like to be with me forever.. What do you say?”
I wasn't sure if those were the right words to use. I winced at his words. It was hard and demanding, and I wasn't sure if I was ready to settle down, but I knew I’d be crazy to refuse his offer.
I stared at the other people taking pictures, and I knew it was my moment, and I wouldn't ruin it for the world.
“Yes, I will marry you, Jordan.”
He jumped to his feet and we kissed deeply.
I wore the ring and was fighting my tears, not to ruin my makeup.
We both ended up taking just two glasses of wine and got back into the car.
Jordan is my first-ever proper boyfriend, and I have always said I would only have sex with a man whom I am married to, and that is because my mother gave birth to both Pearl and me out of wedlock, and my mother lived her life regretting it till her last breath.
“I wish we could go over to my place right now, and celebrate this in a grand way, but I understand and I can wait. I have been waiting. A few more weeks won't kill me.”
He blurted out, and I nodded in appreciation.
The driver took us back to my house, but Jordan couldn't go in with me, because it was quite late.
“Wait, earlier, you said ‘A few weeks won't kill you’ What did you mean by that?”
I stood outside the car, asking curiously.
“Well..”
He walked closer to me and held my hands.
“I know this must sound crazy, but I want you to be my wife as soon as possible, Rosa. A week, two weeks.. I mean does it matter? We both love each other, yes?”
I batted my eyes and then looked around without saying a word.
Why the hurry?
I thought to myself. I love him, but I wasn't sure if I was ready to get married in a few weeks.
“A week or two!”
I asked.
I guess he saw the doubt in my eyes and quickly kissed my lips.
“We are fine, Mama.”
I nodded and tiptoed back into my room.
“I can't face them tonight, I will do that tomorrow. How am I supposed to tell them that I am getting married in a week? Sounds crazy even for me.”
I exclaimed and jumped on my bed.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Still.

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.

Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
