Introduction
Those were the words of my mate, my enemy and the bane of my existence, Onyx. After having my grandfather taken away from me and my parents killed, I was forced to become a slave for the same man who took everything away from me and took my right to the crown as queen of vampires. As cruel as fate was, I lived the rest of my life in his castle as a slave without a mate while others made fun of me.
I thought my fate would change when I found out I was bound to the son of my captors but alas, there's more trouble to be found when your mate ends up tormenting you alongside his brother, now I'm trapped as their toy but who will I choose to have me forever?
Chapter 1
There he was, on top of me, my worst nemesis, the person ruining my life, my mate, my destined lover, I couldn't help but let out a soft moan as he sunk his teeth into my neck, leaving his marks on me until I started to bleed out, his hands couldn’t help but travel through my breasts but even that didn't stop him from being anything less than impressive as I felt up his hard member up against my thigh, he groaned and mumbled under his breath and I could tell he was holding back but he didn't know that I wanted it more than anything, he growled under his breath once again as he laid slow kisses from my neck to my stomach causing me to throw my head back.
How I hated him but how I loved his touch.
….
I woke up in a cold sweat immediately sitting up on my bed to look around my room. It was a shabby little room at the west wing of the house of the vampire king of my clan and I, Blair, was his slave.
I looked at my clock in panic as I realized I had overslept again, the mistress of the house would be angry at me, at least she was supposed to be… normally she would have appeared at my door pouring a bucket of ice water on me to wake me up but I heard no sign of her. Realizing this, I quickly stood up and took a shower before changing into the shabby clothes the lords of the house had provided me with for I was a slave in their home.
As I walked down to the kitchen to see if there was still any work to be done, I couldn’t help but shake off the dream I had. It wasn’t a new occurrence, in fact, I had been having this dream for a while now and it was the same thing, a strange man whose face I couldn’t make out or remember, intense emotions, touching and kissing, my face was already flushed thinking about it again but I had to snap out of it, after all, it was probably just my consciousness trying to make me feel better about everything in my life.
My name is Blair and up until four years ago, I was the next in line to the throne of power in my vampire clan. My grandfather, Lord Alucardian, was the only family I ever had as my parents were slain by vampire hunters when I was baby and he made it his mission to hide me from the clan until I was old enough… that was until he lost his throne to his long time enemy, the current Vampire King, Draco.
Draco brought together a group of vampires who hated my grandfather and ambushed him during his hibernation. They injured him severely and exiled him to never return by sealing him with a curse which would kill him slowly, my grandfather fought but he was outnumbered and was in his weak state when they caught him, causing him to be unable to save me.
FLASHBACK
I still remember that cold moment, it was during a lunar eclipse, my grandfather had to hibernate in his coffin to receive the energy of the moon and because of this, he was weakened.
Draco and his men caught him and bound him while some others searched our house looking for me.
When they finally found me, it was too late, the gory scene was right in front of me, my grandfather, covered in his blood, laying helplessly on the ground as if he wasn’t supposed to be the strongest vampire of them all.
“What shall we do with his granddaughter ?” One of Draco’s men asked.
“I know what to do with her, she shall become my slave and work for me in my house until she withers away” he grinned.
“No! Don’t you dare lay your hands on Blair!” My grandfather yelled with the last of his strength before Draco kicked him in his stomach causing him to bleed out even more.
“Grandfather!” I yelled out before one of Draco’s men also hit me so hard that I fainted.
Upon waking up, I found myself in my house, but everything looked different, my grandfather was gone, my hands were tied, a necklace was wrapped around my neck which was meant to restrict my powers and bind me to Draco and his wife sat in front of me, grinning with malice.
“Good, you’re finally awake”
I looked up at her saying nothing. My grandfather had taught me never to show weakness in the face of danger.
“From now on, you belong to my family, your grandfather is gone, that old fool wanted to take his secret to the power of the moon to his grave and we’ve banished him and until we unlock that power, you’re not going anywhere so sit tight”
I dropped my head in agony as I knew that the secret my grandfather had now sacrificed his life for wasn’t a thing, it was me, I was the key to the power of the moon but I couldn’t let them know that I was the key to this power, that was why my parents died, they were trying to protect me. Everything about me brought misfortune and all I could hope was that my grandfather was still alive but realistically speaking, I knew he had probably died long ago.
END OF FLASHBACK
As I made my way to the kitchen, I couldn’t help but hear commotion outside the courtyard, knowing how the lady of the house liked to treat me, it would be smarter for me to mind my business and walk away but something just kept drawing me and I had to go.
Slowly, I made my way to the courtyard through the path behind the kitchen and then, I saw him.
“You need to leave! Now! I don’t want you here!” Lady Morgana’s voice rang through the courtyard as she kept on pointing her finger at the man in front of her angrily.
Amidst the chaos, he stood out to me, he was standing tall and elegant, his long dark hair was a perfect contrast to his blue eyes and his well built stature was more than enough to get me aroused but that wasn’t the point, the problem was that as soon as I saw this man, I knew who he was, suddenly, the face of the man who I had been seeing in my dreams became clear and I held my breath in shock as he turned to me and smiled.
This man standing here was my mate.

"What?" It was out of my mouth before I could stop it. I did not wait for him to answer me, I walked toward him.
"Dance on my lap."
My head screamed at me to turn around and run. But my whole body responded to his command.
"Yes, Alpha," I pulled my dress over my body, it dropped over my head and fell to the ground behind me. I was left in nothing but my matching bra and thong. My hands covered my chest on reflex.
"Let me see."
My hands dropped to my sides.
I lowered myself into his lap, facing him. His eyes peered into mine, and I could feel his hot breath fan my face. His dick responded to all my moves, hardening against my now-moist vagina. I swallowed hard, allowing my lips to part in a ragged breath. His hands trailed up to my waist.
"No touching."

Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
