Chapter 1

That night, in the parking lot of the five-star Long Beach Hotel. Spotlights gave a glow to the luxury cars parked in a row. Sandra, who had just finished attending her friend's birthday party, couldn't wait to get home. To meet her husband, whom she married just three months ago.

As she was about to start her car engine, Sandra took the time to text her husband. She was eagerly typing a message, but something stopped her. From the direction of the hotel parking lot entrance, he saw a black Lamborghini car that looked familiar to him. Her eyes were narrowed with a tense body, reflecting the suspicion and questions that filled her mind.

"Did I see it wrong? Why is that car here? Could Alex be wearing it?" muttered the curly-haired woman. However, there was still doubt in her heart. Was the vehicle that had just passed by her husband's car. Moreover, he did not have time to see the vehicle number.

"Alex is at home. Maybe I saw it wrong." Sandra tried to think positively, ignoring all the suspicions that came to her mind.

But the next second, the mystery man stepped out of the Lamborghini, wearing a striking black suit. A bouquet of flowers on her left arm provided a touch of color and fragrance amidst the night atmosphere. The man walked out of the parking lot into the hotel lobby.

"Alex? What is he doing here? Didn't he say he wasn't feeling well," Sandra said. When recalling the events of a few hours ago, when she asked her husband to come with her. However, Alex declined the invitation, citing illness.

Now Sandra was getting a bad feeling. So she secretly followed her husband, who had already entered the hotel. From a distance, Sandra hid behind the lobby wall, which was filled with a variety of fresh flowers. Creating a luxurious and festive atmosphere. From where she stood, Sandara watched the movements of her husband, who was sitting casually in the hotel lobby. Occasionally, the man would glance toward the main door as if waiting for someone.

A few minutes later, Sandra saw her husband get up from the sofa with a happy face, waving at a woman in a bright red dress, with her face covered by a mask. Of course, Sandra couldn't see the face of the woman who was now cuddling intimately with her husband.

'Oh my! What is all this? Has Alex been cheating on me?' thought the woman in the white dress. Hir previously pale face was now flushed red, reflecting deep anger. Sandra's emotions were getting the better of her, to the point where she felt like exploding, seeing her husband kissing the top of the woman's head in the red dress. Even now, the two lovebirds were holding hands and heading for the elevator, having booked the room first.

Sandra smiled sadly, realizing that her beloved husband had betrayed their marriage. "How could you betray our marriage! I've sacrificed a lot for you, and this is what you get back from me, Alex!" she muttered as she clenched her hands into fists. Not wanting to hide for long, Sandra finally approached the receptionist, looking for information about the cheating couple who had just left a few moments ago.

Elsewhere, Alex and his lady continued their romance, holding hands through the hotel hallway. "Is your wife out of town?" asked the curly-haired woman as she removed the cloth covering part of her face.

"Well, he was attending his friend's birthday party." Alex pulled Sarah's arm and looked at the woman with a longing gaze. "So, we can have fun tonight," she said as she put her arm around her lover's smooth shoulders.

"I hope your wife never comes back again," said the woman with an annoyed look on her face.

"Hey, don't be like that! She's your older sister. Wouldn't you be sad if you lost her?"

Hearing Alex's words, the woman grinned with a sharp gaze forward. Later, the woman said, "I'm going to party if that really happens." Alex could only shake his head at his lover's words, which sounded so cruel.

Upon arrival, Alex immediately closed the door and pulled his girlfriend into the room. They kissed each other so greedily that they forgot to breathe. "Come on, hurry up and remove all these barriers! I can't wait anymore," Alex said teasingly.

Sarah slowly stripped off her dress to the frustration of the brown-haired man. So he threw his lover's body roughly onto the bed. "Are you playing me on purpose, Sarah?" he said in a hoarse voice, holding back the heat that was coursing through his body. Meanwhile, Sarah smiled a small smile with a seductive look.

Alex opened his coat and shirt in a hurry. He then undid his belt, but a knock on the door stopped him in his tracks.

"SHIT! DISTURBING ME!" snapped Alex with a furious face.

"Just ignore it! Mostly the janitor," Sarah replied indifferently. But the incessant knocking on the door made it impossible for Alex to concentrate on continuing his activities with his girlfriend. So he decided to take a look at the intruder.

"Are you .... " Alex couldn't finish his sentence when he saw his wife.

"Sandra, what are you... doing here?" asked Alex nervously.

"I should be the one asking you! What are you doing in this place with a woman who is not your wife?" Sandra shouted in front of Alex's face. The woman could no longer control herself after seeing her husband's disheveled appearance.

"There are no women here. You have misunderstood! I just want to relax my mind in this place." Alex eased Sandra's suspicions by continuing to block his wife's movements. Of course, Alex was desperate not to have his affair exposed.

"Move aside! I want to find out who the woman is who has dared to have an affair with my husband!" Sandra pushed Alex's broad chest to break through. However, Alex remained unmoved and continued to block Sandra's path. The woman got even angrier and unconsciously slapped her husband in the face.

"Why do you keep blocking me from meeting that bitch? Are you afraid of me torturing her?" "Yes," Alex replied firmly, not caring about his wife's broken feelings. Sandra was silent, with tears streaming out of her round eyelids. The woman cried while smothering her mouth and chose to stay away from Alex.

"Isn't everything I've done for you enough? Is it not enough, Alex!" Sandra shouted with feelings of disappointment and despair.

Alex let out a long sigh as he approached his hysterical wife. The man intends to persuade Sandra, even though he still wants to take advantage of his wife.

"Okay. I admit to being wrong. But I promise I won't do it again. I love you very much, Sandra. I'm sorry because you're always busy working." Alex grabbed Sandra's shoulders and tried to hug her, but Sandra took the opportunity to immobilize her husband. Sandra deliberately kicked Alex in the balls, making the man curl up in pain.

"Feel it! This time I don't want to fall for your seduction." Sandra ran towards the room. One hand reached out to pull the door handle, but the door opened first. Sandra was shocked to see the woman who had just emerged from the room.

"You! How is that possible?" Sandra could not continue her words when she saw the form that was standing proudly in front of her. The woman's body immediately went limp, her head moving right and left. She wished everything that happened was just a dream.

"What's wrong, sister? You're surprised to see me in this place with your husband," she said bravely without guilt.

"Are you out of your mind, Sarah? Or have you become so incapable of finding another man that you seduce your sister's husband!"

"SHUT UP! YOU TOOK ALEX AWAY FROM ME. WE WERE DATING BEFORE YOU MET HIM!" Sarah yelled while pointing at her sister's face. A hateful gaze shone from Sarah's brown eyes.

"Then, why didn't you prevent me from marrying him?"

Sarah gave a mocking smile. She walked up to her brother and whispered, "It's all about the money. Alex doesn't love you."

A furious Sandra pushed her sister's body violently against the wall. "And you feel happy watching this man destroy your sister!"

"What demon has gotten into you, Sarah? It must be that man who brainwashed you!" Sandra glanced sharply at her husband, who had been silent. The man looked stunned when his wife approached him.

"Sandra I —"

"You bastard! You're using Sarah for your foul plans!" Sandra gave her husband several punches, venting the pain she felt. The woman was driven mad by the infidelity of her husband and sister.

"And you, Sarah! I'll report this to Dad!" threatened Sandra sternly. "You're disgusting!" After saying her last words, Sandra walked away from Alex and Sarah. The fair-skinned woman was already too tired to deal with tonight's troubles. Sandra prepared to approach her father to complain about her tragic fate.

"Hello, Dad!" greeted Sandra when she managed to call her father.

"What's wrong with you, dear? You sound like you're crying," said Sandra's worried father. The woman took a deep breath before starting to narrate her problem.

"How could they do that to you!" Sandra's father shouted angrily. "But you don't have to worry! Father will take care of this matter and teach them a lesson. I'll be waiting for you at home." Then, the conversation between the son and the father ended.

Throughout the journey, the beautiful woman kept crying. She loved her husband dearly, even though he had broken her heart. However, to apologize is impossible.

While passing through a quiet street, Sandra realized that a Hilux car had followed her since leaving the hotel.

"That car has been following my car since before."

Suddenly, the car accelerated and cut off Sandra's car. The woman was able to breathe a sigh of relief, only for something to get in her way afterward. Sandra could not dodge or hit the brakes. Then, there was a loud crash along with the screeching of car tires.

"I've hit something! How can I do this?" Sandra was both panicked and frightened. Oblivious to her tense surroundings, the woman descended in a hurry to see what she had bumped into just now.

Until something terrible happened to the pale white woman. Sandra turned towards her car. She ran very fast, after realizing that what he had hit was a monstrous creature with fangs sticking out around its mouth. The creature was standing tall, ready to attack.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.

Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
