The Ruined Lady's Escape
Daisy Swift · Completed · 7.1k Words
Introduction
Any skin-to-skin contact with a woman would cause his flesh to fester and trigger a soul-shattering backlash.
That included me.
In our century together, we never shared a single embrace.
On the day we forged our Blood Pact, I tried to touch him, only to be violently thrown back, coughing up blood upon impact.
That was until vampire hunters set our ancestral castle ablaze. Pinned beneath broken timber, I reached out to him for help on pure instinct.
Valerius dodged my hand. Instead, he turned and gathered that terrified little human girl, Genevieve, into his arms, comforting her with unwonted tenderness:
"Don't be afraid. I'll get you out of here."
His body showed not a single sign of rejection.
It turns out that a so-called deadly blood curse automatically breaks in the presence of true love.
Since my century of pathetic groveling had only ever moved myself, I decided I no longer wanted this Blood Pact.
Chapter 1
Everyone in the Night Realm knew that my husband, the Vampire Lord Valerius, suffered from a blood curse that fiercely repelled the opposite sex.
Since my century of pathetic groveling had only ever moved myself, I decided I no longer wanted this Blood Pact.
.....
Flames consumed the castle, turning this vampire territory into a living hell.
Cramps tore through my lower abdomen in agonizing waves.
I reached out to Valerius with a hand covered in ash and blood.
"Valerius! Save me..."
His crimson eyes swept over me, then shifted to Genevieve without a second of hesitation.
"Valerius, I'm so scared..." Genevieve sobbed.
A rare look of anxiety and heartache fractured Valerius's normally icy facade. He pulled Genevieve tightly against his chest.
His body accepted her without reservation.
"Don't be afraid. I'll get you out." His voice was so gentle it felt alien to me.
I froze. My outstretched hand lingered in mid-air, fingertips trembling in despair.
"Valerius! Please... save the baby first!" A warm liquid began to snake down my inner thighs.
Holding Genevieve, Valerius paused slightly as he passed by me.
"Audelia, do you really think spinning some random lie about being pregnant will make me abandon Genevieve? She is just a fragile human, while you are protected by my Blood Pact. You will not die!"
"It's not a lie... it's true..."
Two months ago, when his blood curse went berserk and nearly killed him, it was I who cut open my own chest to feed him my heart's blood to barely save his life.
That ultimate fusion of pureblood allowed me to miraculously conceive a rare blood fetus.
But he had been comatose and knew nothing of this. In his mind, he hadn't laid a finger on me in a century, so he naturally assumed the pregnancy was just an absurd lie fabricated to fight for his favor.
"Enough. You'd better pray Genevieve hasn't inhaled too much smoke because of your stalling. Otherwise, I will not forgive you."
With that, he charged out of the blazing inferno with Genevieve in his arms, never sparing me another glance.
I stared at his retreating back. In that moment, the surrounding flames seemed to lose all their heat, and my heart plummeted into a bottomless ice cellar.
A sickening crack echoed from above.
A massive, flaming wooden beam was plummeting straight toward me.
I had no strength left to dodge.
The timber smashed violently against my back, the sheer impact instantly crushing several of my ribs. I opened my mouth and coughed up a huge splatter of blood.
But all this physical agony was nothing compared to the sudden snapping of a profound connection within my womb.
I could clearly feel that tiny life inside me, in this exact moment, leaving me forever.
My vision blurred, and my consciousness began to slip away into the violent pain and immense blood loss.
When I woke up, the private doctor was throwing blood-soaked gauze into a medical waste bin.
"My Lady, you suffered massive trauma and inhaled a fatal amount of toxic smoke. We couldn't save the child. Furthermore... the damage to your womb is severe. It will be incredibly difficult for you to conceive again."
I stared numbly at the blinding surgical light on the ceiling.
There is no grief greater than a dead heart. It turned out to be true.
Footsteps sounded outside the door.
Valerius walked up to the operating table. Looking at my face, pale as paper, his brow furrowed slightly.
"I thought you were lying," he said, avoiding my gaze. "But even if you really were pregnant, in that situation, I still had to save Genevieve first. And if this child was so fragile it couldn't even survive a fire, it means it wasn't fit for our predatory world. It's for the best that it's gone."
It's for the best.
Those words were like a rusted, blunt knife slowly slicing through my heart.
"What about your repelling blood curse?" I didn't scream or cry as I usually did. I merely looked at him. "Aren't you unable to touch any woman? Why were you completely unharmed when you held her?"
Valerius stiffened. His eyes flickered away unnaturally for a fraction of a second before he replied coldly, "Genevieve is just an ordinary human. Naturally, she wouldn't trigger the curse's backlash."
What a laughable excuse.
Back then, just to be able to embrace him, I hadn't hesitated to seal away all my vampiric aura using silver needles. All I got in return was being ruthlessly blasted away by him.
"I understand," I said, looking away. Even the very last shred of struggle within my heart completely disintegrated.
"Good." Valerius scoffed. "Genevieve is terrified. You will stay here and reflect on your actions. Do not go near her without my permission."
Listening to the door click shut, I closed my eyes.
A century of pathetic groveling, a century of enduring agony just to get close to him, the absolute torture of watching him shelter another woman in his arms...
In this moment, I just wanted to walk away and end it all—but it wouldn't be easy.
The Blood Pact is the oldest, most tyrannical contract among vampires. Once forged, unless one party dies or the dominant party actively severs it, the subordinate is bound for life.
But I knew a forbidden art. One that allowed the subordinate to forcibly sever the pact. The price was relinquishing half of one's soul and all accumulated power.
In the past, I couldn't bear to do it. I would rather be despised by him if it meant staying by his side.
But now, whatever was between us is over.

After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.

Invincible Upon Release: The Strongest Mage
Her family looked down on him, and even she herself said coldly: “You’re not worthy of being my husband.”
Everyone thought this newly released good-for-nothing was just a poor fool who’d taken the fall for his brother.
Thorne said nothing.
He merely raised his hand, gently pressing his bride’s forehead.
In an instant, the chaos in her eyes faded. Holy light surged from beneath the church, shooting into the sky.
The world’s only candidate for the Saintess, blessed with holy power, slowly opened her clear eyes before him.

I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.

Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.

Mafia Don Begs Me Back
Damian coldly gripped her jaw. "Vivian's condition has worsened. The surgery is set for one month from now. Don't worry — I'll find you the best burial plot, and I'll make sure your family is well provided for. You need to understand: if it weren't for your heart, you never could have become my wife, never could have become Mrs. Montgomery. You've enjoyed years of a lavish life. Now it's time to give something back."
Even the son she had raised with her own hands screamed at her: "Why won't you just die? If you die, your heart can go to Vivian! I want Vivian to be my mom!"
Elara fell apart. But she was not completely broken.
She slipped the divorce agreement into a stack of contracts that needed Damian's signature. He didn't read closely. He signed. Now, she was free.
Elara accepted the offer — Top Jewelry Appraiser, a seven-figure annual salary. She gave herself one month to say goodbye to the five years she had lost. She withdrew from Damian's life and Caleb's life, little by little, until nothing of her remained.
Until that night, when Damian watched helplessly as a bullet tore through her shoulder and she plunged into the freezing waters of the Atlantic.
"No! Elara! You are not allowed to die!"
In that moment, Damian finally understood — somewhere across those five years, he had already fallen in love with Elara. And a certain truth he had always believed in reversed itself after Elara walked away.
He had been wrong. Catastrophically wrong. Wrong from the very beginning. This proud, noble, and ruthless mafia don was consumed by remorse, and vowed to spend the rest of his life in atonement — to win back Elara, who had lost every last shred of faith in him.
"Elara, I'm begging you. Come back. Come back to me and Caleb."
"Mommy, I'm sorry. Please don't abandon me."
When Elara — now an international figure, admired and adored by countless people — comes face to face once again with the man she once loved with all her heart, and the son who once wished her dead, what choice will she make?
Pregnant by My Husband's Rival Alpha
Those words should have destroyed me, but the truth was worse: I'd been used as a broodmare by the man who swore to love me, set up in a hotel room with a stranger because My husband Alexander Cross couldn't father children himself, and now I carried the secret babies of Damon Lester—the most powerful and dangerous Alpha in San Loris—while my own family replaced me with the daughter they'd always wanted. But when that same stranger's doctor appeared at my door, when twenty million dollars exchanged hands over a fake perfume bearing my secret identity, and when Damon's gray eyes locked onto mine with recognition I couldn't afford, I realized my carefully hidden life as the legendary perfumer Vera was colliding with a pregnancy that could cost me everything.
Could I protect my babies from the husband plotting my death, hide my true identity from the Alpha who's been hunting me for years, and reclaim the freedom I'd buried along with my dreams—even if it means standing alone against the wolves who see me as nothing more than a womb to be used and discarded?
