Chapter 1
"No. Don't." A noise echoed from the fancy bathroom.
Emily Johnson was on her knees, naked in the tub, her head held down by James Smith's big hand, pushing her towards his crotch in a steady rhythm.
His big dick made her mouth hurt, and she tried to push him away, but James only got rougher. "Don't what? You knew Sophia Brown had claustrophobia, yet you tricked her into the elevator to trap her so you could take her place and enjoy yourself with me, right? I'm giving you what you wanted. What more do you want?"
Emily coughed a few times.
After what felt like forever, his hot cum shot down her throat, and she couldn't hold herself up anymore, collapsing to the side as the semen spilled from her mouth.
James looked at her, his lust only growing stronger.
He grabbed her chin with one hand and slid his other hand down from the corner of her mouth. "Is your mouth full? Where else do you want my cum next?"
His fingers quickly moved to her lower abdomen, aiming to go further down.
"James." Emily grabbed his hand, tears streaming down her face.
The jerk in front of he, who had been her husband for five years but had never made love to her. Now, for another woman, he was degrading her in the worst way possible, over and over again.
"It wasn't me. I didn't lock her in the elevator. When I got there, she was already inside," Emily tried to explain.
"Not you?" James's hand, which had slid to her lower abdomen, immediately grabbed her neck. "At that time, only you and Sophia were in the entire villa. If it wasn't you, who was it? Don't tell me Sophia trapped herself in the elevator, cut off the power, and locked herself in just to frame you. Sophia wouldn't risk her life to deal with someone insignificant."
She thought, 'Someone insignificant?'
In her five years of marriage to James, because of his coldness and indifference, Emily's heart was broken countless times, and many times, she no longer felt the pain.
Including just now, she thought being humiliated like that was the ultimate pain.
She didn't expect James could make her feel even more pain.
Tears once again uncontrollably flowed from her eyes.
James, the man Emily had loved for ten years and married for five.
He said that Sophia, who was determined to interfere in their marriage, had no need to deal with Emily, his 'insignificant' wife.
If she was really insignificant, when Sophia was rescued and carried into James's arms, why did Sophia 'accidentally' kick Emily, the 'insignificant' person, into the still malfunctioning elevator?
Did he know that Emily also had claustrophobia?
Six years ago, Emily, James, and Sophia were caught in an earthquake while out of town.
Back then, Emily was in a room with James.
When the house collapsed, she got trapped in a corner, and James was knocked out cold.
To get James out, Emily used her bare hands to dig, her fingers bleeding like crazy, finally making a way to get him out.
Just as Emily was about to crawl out, an aftershock hit, and she got buried again.
By the time they rescued her two days later, Emily had been trapped underground without food, water, or any sense of time, nearly losing her mind.
Luckily, she was saved before she went completely nuts. But since then, she couldn't handle enclosed spaces.
After getting out, the first thing she did was look for James, but he started avoiding her, refusing to see her.
She didn't get it. She had saved him, after all.
She wanted to figure it all out, but James wouldn't give her the chance.
Later, James proposed to Emily.
No one knew how happy she was at that time.
It was only after they got married that she found out James was forced by his grandmother, Ava Davis, to marry her. The one he really wanted was Sophia.
She didn't know when, but James, who had said in elementary school that he wanted to marry Emily, had fallen for her good friend Sophia.
A unique ringtone sounded.
The next second, James, who had been looking at her with a murderous expression, suddenly became gentle. "Sophia, you're awake? Don't be afraid, I'll be right there with you. I'll be there in ten minutes."
Hanging up the phone, James casually threw Emily into the bathtub, not even glancing at her, pulled up his pants, and prepared to leave.
Thinking of his gentle demeanor just now, Emily thought of the James who had treated her gently before the earthquake.
She knew she was being delusional, but she still wanted to try. What if he changed his mind?
"James, I also have claustrophobia, I'm also very scared. Can you stay with me?"
"You?" James sneered, turning to look at her. "Is mental illness so common these days? Or do you think that by imitating Sophia, you can make me fall for you? Don't kid yourself, Emily, I will never like you. Never."
At this moment, she was slumped in the bathtub, but her body still trembled "James, in the more than twenty years we've known each other, have you really never liked me? Not even a little?"
"No," James replied.
"Then why did you say you wanted to marry me when we were kids?" she asked.
"Can you take childhood words seriously? Besides, what man would refuse a woman throwing herself at him?" James said.
Emily's tears fell instantly.
So that was it? She thought he truly loved her and wanted to be with her forever, but it turned out he was just playing with her feelings.
Emily bit her lip hard and wiped the tears from her cheeks. "James, let's get a divorce. I don't want to be the woman throwing herself at you anymore."
When she loved him, she loved him with all her heart.
When there was no need to love, she could walk away without looking back.
James's breath suddenly hitched, as if a hand was tearing at his heart.
She wanted to leave him?
That was impossible.
She had gone through so much to marry him, humbling herself in front of his family to win his favor, being kind to the household staff, giving small gifts, and being afraid of doing anything to anger him.
She couldn't bear to leave him.
What she was saying now was just a tactic to get his attention.
She was so cunning.
He wouldn't let her have her way.
"Glad to be rid of you, Emily. Just make sure you stick to your word." With that, James strode out, slamming the bathroom door behind him.
Emily's tears fell uncontrollably.
She had just told him she had claustrophobia, and he casually shut the bathroom door, showing he didn't care and even her to die.
Emily curled up in the bathtub. Before she lost it completely, she made a call.
"Mom," she said, her voice trembling. "I want to come home. Do you still want me?"
When Emily first decided to be with James, the Johnson family was very pleased.
Because Emily and James had grown up together, the two families had a good relationship and knew each other well.
A union between the two families was a good thing for them.
The Johnson family started to object after the earthquake when James became cold toward Emily and warm toward Sophia.
When James proposed to Emily but refused to have a wedding, insisted on a secret marriage, and wouldn't even go to City Hall himself, the Johnson family exploded.
Emily's parents strongly opposed it. Her grandparents were furious but still kindly explained all the disadvantages of marrying a man who didn't love her.
But at that time, Emily couldn't listen to any objections.
Even though she noticed James was different, what did it matter? James proposed to her.
That proved James loved her.
She didn't think too much about who loved whom more and why James went from being warm to cold and then suddenly proposed.
She loved him.
She loved him so much.
She believed that even if he didn't love her at all, as long as she kept loving him and treated him wholeheartedly, he would eventually fall for her.
She was confident about this.
She believed that only a woman as persistent in love as she was deserved to be James's wife and deserved his love.
Her grandmother was so angry at her stubbornness that she fell ill.
Her parents, disappointed and angry, warned her that if she insisted on marrying James, she would lose all her family and no longer be the Johnson family heiress.
Defiant against her mother's threat, Emily walked into her new home with James, never looking back.
And then she ended up like this.
Humiliated by James with his penis, locked in a closed bathroom, experiencing claustrophobia again. Feeling the fear of impending death once more.
Emily didn't die.
Because claustrophobia didn't kill, it only terrified.
Once the fear reached its peak, it slowly receded.
When she was no longer so terrified, she could open the door herself and walk out.
And once out of the enclosed space, she was normal again.
Emily stood at the bathroom door, looking at the place where she had been humiliated and tortured, then at the wedding photo with James on the bedroom bed. She grabbed an unopened bottle of red wine from the cabinet and smashed it.
Then she went to the guest room, washed her body, brushed her teeth several times, and threw all her belongings into the trash.
Finally, she went to the study and took out the divorce papers James had prepared five years ago from his desk drawer.
After proposing, James told her not only about the secret marriage and no wedding but also about these divorce papers.
More accurately, not just this one, but identical ones.
After getting the marriage certificate, she thought she would live happily with James forever. She secretly tore up the divorce papers, only to find out later that James had prepared many copies.
No matter how many she destroyed, James could always produce another set of divorce papers.
Emily turned to the last page of the divorce papers and signed her name at the bottom.
After doing all this, Emily walked towards the villa's entrance.
Before leaving, she turned to look at the clean villa that no longer had any trace of her.
"James, I won't cling to you anymore. You can be with the one you love. As for us, I hope we never meet again."
Emily turned and stepped out of the villa.
At the same time, a dozen luxury cars pulled up, lining up in front of Emily.
The car door swung open, and out stepped a middle-aged couple dressed to the nines from the second car, followed by an elderly couple with graying hair from the third. The rest of the cars were packed with servants and bodyguards.
"Emily, have you finally come to your senses? Mom's here to take you home," her mom said.
"Emily, did that jerk James mess with you? I'll go give him a piece of my mind," her dad chimed in.
"Emily, my sweet granddaughter, why are you so thin? Has someone been giving you a hard time? Even though I'm old, I can still stand up for you," her grandpa said.
"Emily, my darling, come to Grandma. Grandma will protect you," her grandma added.
The dozens of servants and bodyguards who got out of the other cars all bowed respectfully.
Tears welled up in Emily's eyes again.
Growing up, Emily was surrounded by her loving family. She lived a privileged life, shielded from hardship.
In the Smith family, she had to do James's laundry, cook for him, scrub the floors and stairs on her knees, and take care of his parents day and night when they were sick. She was treated like a servant—even worse than a servant.
Servants get paid, but she was doing it for free.
Seeing her family running towards her, Emily knelt down, crying. "The past five years were my mistake. I'm sorry."
Emily's grandfather, Aiden Johnson, her grandmother, Mia Wilson, her father, Chase Johnson, and her mother, Isabella Taylor, all helped her up.
"Silly child, you did nothing wrong. It's my fault as a father for not teaching you how to recognize bad men," Chase said.
"You did nothing wrong. It's my fault as a mother for being too hasty and not explaining things to you properly. If I had, you wouldn't have married James," Isabella said.
"It's all James's fault. You did nothing wrong. James is the foolish one," Mia said.
"That's right, it's James's fault. You did nothing wrong," Aiden said.
Skyline Villa — the second villa James had lavishly purchased for Sophia.
Sophia, wearing a sexy lace camisole, lay on the big bed, leaning forward to show off her ample breasts, looking pitifully at James, who was sitting beside her. "James, I know you're angry because Emily tried to kill me. But you can't blame Emily entirely. It's my fault. I shouldn't have fallen for you, I shouldn't have clung to you. If I hadn't been with you and ruined your marriage, Emily wouldn't have tried to kill me."
"Sophia, this isn't your fault." James held Sophia's shoulders. "You're not the other woman; Emily is. Five years ago, I wanted to marry you, but Emily convinced my grandmother to force me to marry her."
"Sophia, in my heart, you're my wife," James said passionately, though he couldn't help but think of Emily.
Legally, Emily was his wife.
When Emily asked him for a divorce, his first thought was to refuse.
He didn't want to divorce Emily.
"James." Sophia looked at him with tender eyes, leaning forward again, rubbing her ample breasts against his arm, and lifting her chin to bring her red lips closer to his.
In such a tender moment, she wanted to make love to James and become his woman.
Although James had said he would marry her five years ago, he had never made love to her, not even kissed her.
She yearned to make love to James, believing it would solidify their bond and ensure his commitment to her.
James was thinking about Emily when Sophia suddenly leaned in, startling him and making him instinctively pull back.
"James." Sophia looked hurt. "Don't you like me anymore? I didn't mean anything by it; I just wanted to kiss you."
"No," James immediately refuted. "It's just that you were frightened today and aren't feeling well. You need to rest. I can't jeopardize your health."
Sophia smiled sweetly. "I knew it, James, you love me the most."

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Badass in Disguise
"Jade, I need to check your—" the nurse began.
"OUT!" I snarled with enough force that both women backed toward the door.
Once feared by Shadow Organization that drugged me to replicate my abilities into a more controllable version, I had escaped my restraints and detonated their entire facility, ready to die alongside my captors.
Instead, I woke up in a school infirmary with women arguing around me, their voices piercing my skull. My outburst froze them in shock—clearly they hadn't expected such a reaction. One woman threatened as she left, "We'll discuss this attitude when you get home."
The bitter truth? I've been reborn into the body of an overweight, weak, and supposedly dim-witted high school girl. Her life is filled with bullies and tormentors who've made her existence miserable.
But they have no idea who they're dealing with now.
I didn't survive as the world's deadliest assassin by allowing anyone to push me around. And I certainly won't start now.
