Chapter 1
Lila’s POV
A perceptible wave of tension and anxiety hung in the atmosphere, tainting the air with an iridescent chill, the kind that mirrored the turmoil in my mind. I leaned on the headrest and peered out the window, letting the breeze from the wheezing cars on the road dry up the sweat on my face as heat coursed through my veins.
My body had an unusual way of reacting to anxiety. I would have numerous stomach aches, and since the anti nausea pills hadn't done their job, I sat straight in the backseat, and placed my hand on my stomach, an attempt to contend with the ache rippling through it.
"Gavin," I called out to my driver. "How long till we arrive at the court?"
"We're almost there ma'am," he answered slowly. "We'll be at the building in two hours."
My stomach rumbled again, my intestines twisting into knots as a patch of goosebumps suddenly broke out of my skin, covering me from head to toe.
Oh heavens. This was it. I said to myself as bile rushed to my throat. I placed my hand on my mouth to keep myself from vomiting again, but the bones in my body chattered within me. I suddenly felt this surge of unease, I wanted to sit, stand, run at the same time.
"I can't believe this is happening to me Gavin, my life is suddenly turning upside down and there is nothing I can do about it."
"Calm down, ma’am," Gavin said, turning to throw a sad smile at me. "Your lawyer is one of the best in the country and..."
"There is nothing else," I snapped, cutting him off. "I only have my lawyers, everyone in the world hates me. My Star space account has lost all its followers and people have been campaigning against me. I am finished Gavin, this is the end"
The bald headed man heaved a deep sigh as tears welled up in my, causing a warm stinging effect. I shifted into my seat and peered outside again, but I wished I hadn't. Outside by the roadside, was a billboard which bore a huge photo of me.
I cringed immediately and tried to turn away, but I was stuck, the words my pictures were captioned with ran through my stomach like a knife.
SUPERSTAR ACTRESS, LILA HARTWELL TO FACE THE COURT FOR ALLEGED BATTERY CASE, RACIST SLURS, AND MONEY LAUNDERING. THE WORLD HAS FINALLY DECIDED TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT. THE TRIAL WILL BE HOLDING ON THE 23RD DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2024. IT WILL BE AIRING ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES AND YOUTUBE CHANNELS.
I closed my eyes and leaned on the headrest again, my heart had stopped beating now, my blood slowly evaporating within my veins. My overly perfect life turned upside down within the space of three months, thanks to my jealous younger sister and my parents.
"Declan has promised to show up as witness and defend you," Gavin said again. "You are not entirely alone Lila, Declan is your husband and he loves you as much as anyone would love themselves."
Those words brought peace to my chest instantly and I closed my eyes to savor them. Declan was my childhood sweetheart, I had given up everything to marry him.
He refused the idea of defending me before, but now that he'd changed his mind, I could help but feel happy for myself. I might not have evidence to prove myself or followers to boost my confidence, but Declan would defend me.
My tall and handsome husband would stand up and defend me against the world. I would no longer be tagged a bad person.
Declan was all I needed now, my husband would never tell lies against me. Even if the world decided to hate me, Declan would always be with me and this was enough for me to feel happy about.
I finally reached for the food pack beside me and ate, the first food I would be eating in three days. Throughout the rest of the drive to the court, my heart found peace, I even started smiling.
Declan had the evidence to prove the world wrong about me, he knew where I was on the day the incident occurred, as well as the source of my multimillion dollar wealth, so I felt at ease.
The court was a huge, white painted building which was situated by the roadside. As expected, it was crowded by irate people who were once my fans, paparazzi and a lot more.
The tension in the atmosphere mingled with anticipation as the car finally pulled to a halt in front of the giant building. I drew in a deep breath, as I put on my glasses and carried my handbag. I had become filled with a renewed hope and confidence, my husband has the one evidence that would set me free from the shackles of false accusations and hatred.
And he was here with me, waiting in the building.
The instant I stepped out of the vehicle, camera flashes began to rain on me as journalists rushed towards me. I adjusted my handbag and my glasses, trying to appear confident when I was actually the most hated woman in America right now.
"Lila Hartwell," a tall, dark-skinned lady, called as she dashed towards me with a huge microphone. "Kindly explain to the world the reason behind all your atrocities."
"What atrocities?"
My bodyguards stood like a giant before the journalists, but the reporters still managed to maneuver, screaming and jeering at me. Fearing that they might harm me, I jolted back, but the screaming continued.
My eyes had just begun to adjust to the blinding lights from the cameras when another journalist accosted me.
"Lila Hartwell, is it true that you became a famous actress by sleeping with all the producers in the movie industry?”

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

The Lycan Kings and the White Wolf.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Triplet Alpha: My Fated Mates
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.
I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.
On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.
Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.
My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:
Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
