Introduction
Lyra, who is desperate, surrenders when Lucien Schneider, a mysterious young billionaire, manages to get her after offering her the highest price.
The mysterious Lucien reminds Lyra of her childhood friend, Lucien Stephenson, who mysteriously disappeared with the old man she called father. Many rumors circulated after the disappearance of Lucien and his father, some said that he was captured by aliens because he disappeared after a mysterious plane landed in the middle of the forest, others said that from the start he was not human, but a creature that came from the stars.
Chapter 1
"Would you like to try these shoes on, Mrs. Weisz?" Asked a young woman who worked at the shop she often visited every time she wanted new shoes.
"Yeah, I want to try it!" She said with a flat smile. The shop assistant immediately took the pair of shoes she wanted to try.
After wearing the pair of shoes, she felt they were suitable, but the color was too simple to wear at a party.
"Looks good on you!" Said a man who praised him. Layla immediately turned to the man standing two steps in front of her.
A tall, well-built young man with dark brown hair and sharp amber eyes smiled gently at her. Layla looked down for a few seconds, before turning back to him.
"Thank you for the compliment, sir!" She said sarcastically. She hates men, any man, she hates all men after her life was ruined because of the madness of the man who became her husband.
She immediately paid for the shoes to the cashier because she felt uncomfortable with the man's gaze. Then leave the shop. But what she was worried about happened, the man followed her and that made her feel scared.
"What are you doing? Why are you following me?" She said annoyed. She knew that if this man tried to disturb her, she would immediately scream.
The man showed a wallet, Layla was shocked, not knowing how her wallet came to be in the man's hands.
"My wallet? You stole it, didn't you?"
"Stealing? You dropped it, ma'am!" He said with a chuckle. Layla felt annoyed and immediately snatched her wallet from the man's hand.
"You thief! How dare you steal a woman's wallet, have you been stalking me for a long time? That's right, you must have been following me because you know I'm a rich woman, right?"
"Rich woman? How rich are you that your mouth can belittle someone?"
"What? Hahaha...you really are shameless, aren't you? You pretended to compliment me in the shop so that I would be careless and accidentally leave my wallet behind. Then you took it and claimed that you had found my wallet. You just asked reward, right?"
"Mrs. Weisz, I think you have misunderstood. I have no intention of causing trouble with you. I also don't want anything in return from-"
Plaaakkk...
Layla immediately slapped the man when she realized that he knew her name. She felt disgusted and humiliated.
"How dare you call my name? You must have opened and checked my wallet, right? Just admit it!" She shouted irritably. Her shout made people start to pay attention to the two of them.
This man was silent for a few moments while touching his cheek which had just been slapped by a rich and respectable woman after he had kindly chased her to return her wallet.
The man smiled coldly, making Layla start to feel intimidated. Yes, this man was much taller than her, maybe around 30 cm taller. The look in his eyes was so sharp that Layla didn't move.
"I didn't know that a rich and respectable woman could so easily look down on others. I'm truly sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. Goodbye?" He said as he walked away, leaving Layla who was frozen in silence with a strange feeling of guilt.
"W-wait...!" Subconsciously she called the man even though she didn't want to. The man stopped walking, but still refused to look back.
"Listen, I won't apologize to you! So, don't expect me to apologize! I'm sure you're just a thief and trying to steal from me!"
Layla stood in the doorway to the room where she and her husband's wedding anniversary party was taking place. She had worn her best dress which showed off the beautiful curves of her body. As John often said, any man would fall in love with her.
In the past, she always thought that making men go crazy over her beauty was something good. She feels lucky because she is beautiful and has a charming body. But now, she had realized that being considered charming by men was not always a good thing.
"What are you waiting for? Don't make my guests anxious by waiting for you, Layla!" John looked at her in annoyance. He had spent a lot of money to throw this very luxurious wedding anniversary party. Even though he almost went bankrupt, a luxurious lifestyle was not an option.
"Are you sure you want to throw this party? Isn't your business experiencing difficulties? What exactly are you planning?
"Sell you!"
"What? Are you crazy, John?"
"Why not? Besides, I'm starting to get bored of you. There's no harm in me getting back the money I spent on you. Because you can't possibly pay it, so you have to do it!"
"But I'm your wife, John! How can you count everything you gave me?"
"You bitch, don't think that your position is that important here! I don't want children from you, nor do I want you to be with me for a long time. You are just like other women, targeting rich men to satisfy your hidden ambition for luxury!"
"I can't believe this!"
"You don't need to believe anything! Listen to me, come into that room when I call you! If you try to refuse and run away, I swear I will definitely kill you!"
Layla was at a loss for words to say. Tears flowed from her eyes even though she tried to hold back her tears. She knew John would throw a tantrum if she cried when she had to pretend to smile in front of the guests who would rent her.
"Wipe your tears and get ready! Don't think that I will melt just because you cry!"
"Don't you love me, John?"
"What? What did you say?"
"Don't you love me at all? Don't you feel jealous or hurt when I'm touched by other men?"

Not loving him will cost more.
Derek has one goal: survive high school without drawing too much attention or pissing off his pack’s alpha.
As the youngest son of the alpha, his life is governed by lycan hierarchy, tradition, and politics. With no signs of awakening a lycan spirit, his only value is what he can do for the pack’s image. He knows he’s only ever one misstep away from exile… or worse.
Then, he finds a boy trapped in a locker on orientation day, and everything changes.
Derek shouldn’t want Nikolias. He’s off-limits. A risk Derek can’t afford.
So why does it feel like he’s the only thing worth fighting for?
Nikolias has just lost everything: his parents, his home, and any sense of peace. Sent back to the town his family left years ago to live with his prejudiced and controlling uncle, who wants nothing to do with anything—or anyone—not human, he’s trying to do everything in his power to get out quickly.
But then he meets Derek again, and all of his plans vanish in the soft, yearning flecks of gold in Derek’s green-hazel eyes. He’s drawn to Derek in a way that’s impossible to deny, and he thinks Derek feels the same way, despite the danger their relationship holds for him.
As Moonshadow's politics turn deadly, Derek and Nikolai are caught in the crossfire of a war that had started long before they were born, and their bond becomes a threat and a lifeline that neither can afford to sever.
Because the heart wants what it wants….
And it never asks permission.

Then my five-year-old son walked into his office.
“Hey, Old Man. Are you the one who made my mom cry?”
Damon stared at the child—the son he once called a bastard. For the first time, the tyrant fell to his knees.
He cornered me against the wall, his eyes burning with madness and obsession.
“You can run, Anna. But you and our son belong to me. I used to need your blood to live. Now I need your heartbeat to breathe.”
