Chapter 1
The night wind was cold as the clouds covered the moon. It was a perfect time for anyone who would have ill intentions to do something as the darkness would hide them.
Unknown to everyone in the Dark Blood Pack, the horror that they were afraid of happening is now surrounding their territory. Masking their scents, the vampire King, Count Malfoy Greer, along with his coven were moving fast and quietly as they started to kill the patrol guards on the borders.
Alpha Marcus woke up in the middle of the night as he started to feel the pain of losing a pack member continuously. He knew that it would be too late if he would go and help them, so he decided to warn the others. His mind linked to the security to turn on the siren so everyone would know what to do.
"Marcus!" Luna Ellena exclaimed. She was worried about the pack members, but she couldn't help to feel the same for herself and knew that their enemy was after her and the pups in her womb.
"Don't be afraid, I am going to protect you and our pups with my life." He said, trying to soothe her, even though he already knew that it was futile. Fear was written all over Luna Ellena's face, not for herself but for their unborn pups.
In just a few more days, Luna Ellena was scheduled for CS. She was carrying quadruplets, which made normal delivery impossible. They were very happy when they found out that they were going to have four pups. Both she and Alpha Marcus were an only child and only experienced the love of siblings through their good friends.
"I mind-linked Dr. Sims and he will be ready for anything that may transpire. Please, you have to be strong." Alpha Marcus told her. Luna Ellena wanted to assure him that she was going to be fine, but the fear for her pups consumed her and she couldn't handle it anymore.
"What's going to happen to our pups, Marcus?" She asked, crying. The warriors, along with Beta Michael and Gamma Rick, gather around them. They were on the rooftop of the pack house. Even if they knew they were in the highest part, they were still alert because they knew how vampires were in terms of speed. They will be able to get to them no matter how high their location is.
"Relax, Ellena. We will get through this. I am not going to let anything happen to you and our pups." Alpha Marcus assured her. Gamma Rick, Beta Michael, and the warriors surround her in a protection formation.
"How is everyone, Michael?" Alpha Marcus asked. Besides his mate, he still has responsibilities to his pack members and he needs to make sure that they are safe and safe.
"Already in the bunker. They're safe, no need to worry about them." The Beta replied,
"How many have you killed down there?" Alpha Marcus asked again. They couldn't leave the floor because he already knew that vampires were already waiting for them. A few pack members told him through mind-linked that the vampires knew where the bunker was and were blocking the passage going there. Trying to get there will only result in the two of them being ambushed.
"A lot, Alpha, but going to the bunker now is not possible. It was lucky for the other pack members to get in there safely," Beta Michael replied.
“What you are doing is pointless,” they all looked at where the voice was coming from. “But don’t worry, you know what I only need,” he added. Before anyone could react, the vampire king, Count Malfoy Greer, was already behind Luna Ellena and took her back from where he was standing.
“Stay away from her!!” Alpha Marcus shouted. He was furious but he couldn’t make a move in fear that the vampire king would hurt his mate. Even his beta and gamma couldn’t do anything. They felt useless and incapable, especially when Count Malfoy bit Luna Ellena on her neck.
“Ahhhhh….” the Luna screamed in pain.
“Ellena!!!!”
“Luna!!!!”
They all jumped at Count Malfoy but he was so fast that he left after he let go of Luna Ellena lying on the floor. “Search for him!!” Beta Michael commanded the warriors, who were still shocked by how fast everything had happened.
Alpha Marcus took Luna Ellena and headed for the elevator, trying to bring her to the pack hospital where he knew Dr. Sims was waiting. “Ellena, my love, stay with me, please..” he said. Gamma Rick was behind him and had already mind-linked to anyone available to get the car ready in front of the pack house.
“Here, alpha!” Dr. Sims said as soon as they arrived. He was indeed waiting since he and everyone felt the pain their Luna was going through. Alpha Marcus put Luna Ellena in a bed and pushed it to the operating room.
“D- Dr.-- S- Sims, my p- pups. Please, s- save them.” Luna Ellena said in between breathing. She looked at Alpha Marcus and smiled before she lost consciousness.
“Ellena!!” he shouted, “Dr. Sims, please do everything to save her,” he added as the doctor nodded and hurried. He, too, wanted to save his Luna and her pups since he knew the prophecy about them being able to defeat the vampire king.
But the venom from the vampire's bite was too much for a wolf-like Luna Ellena. It was a poison for them and would only lead them to an insufferable death. Having quadruplets, it was more difficult for Luna to take it, which led her to her demise.
Count Malfoy Greer, along with the other vampires, left the pack and went back to their coven thinking he had already killed the Luna and her quadruplets. He rested and became too complacent, thinking no one would be able to defeat him.
The vampire king plans to wage war against the werewolves in the near future. He couldn’t do it now, since he knew that his coven did not have enough force and power to defeat all of them. Now that he thought no one would be able to stop him, he assigned his right-hand man to take over while he was in deep sleep, waiting for the right time to attack.
