Introduction
Stripped of her divine power, Calistra becomes his servant, forced to endure the bond that ties her to the one she despises most. But when the mate bond defies his cruelty protecting her, punishing him it sparks a dangerous pull between them.
Vengeance was meant to be her purpose. Desire was never supposed to be her weakness.
Chapter 1
CALISTRA'S POV
I woke up with a splash of cold water hitting my face. My eyes flew open, and I sat up quickly, gasping for air. The wooden floor beneath me was hard and freezing.
A woman stood in front of me, looking at me like I was something disgusting.
For a moment, I was confused.
Where am I?
What is this place?
And this body?
I looked down. This isn't my body.
"Zara!"
The woman snapped, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Do you plan to sleep all day? Everyone in the pack is busy cleaning up after the wedding, and you're here lying around like the useless dog you are."
Her words were sharp and full of hate.
"Get up, bitch!
Get up!"
She shouted, grabbing my arm roughly. Her fingers dug into my skin, making me wince.
She yanked me to my feet, and I felt dizzy.
Before I could speak, she grabbed my ear and twisted it hard. I cried out, begging her to stop, but she only squeezed harder.
"You're nothing but trash." She hissed.
"If you try to slack off again, I'll make your life even worse than it already is."
Her eyes burned with anger.
"Now listen. Go clean Alpha Rafael's room. If I come back and it's not done, I'll throw you in the cage with the dogs. Got it?"
She finally let go of my ear.
"Disgrace of a daughter." She spat, then walked out.
I held my ear, which felt like it was on fire. Confusion still clouded my mind.
I looked around the tiny room just a small bed and a wooden box in the corner.
Then it hit me. Memories flooded in. The girl whose body I now had... she had suffered so much.
Everyone in her pack treated her like dirt. And their cruelty eventually drove her to take her own life.
My name is Calistra, the creator of all werewolves. I had angrily bound myself to an Alpha’s son due to his lifestyle, arrogance and disrespect to me.
As punishment, I was sent to earth and stripped of my powers. I didn't expect to end up in the body of an omega who was hated by everyone.
I looked down at my new body weak, thin, fragile and highly malnourished.
I sighed deeply. If I had known things would turn out this way, I might have made a different choice.
But it's too late now. My first goal is to help this poor girl find peace.
It won't be easy without my powers, especially in this weak body. But I have to try.
And next... I'll find my useless mate. The one who started all of this.
I left the room with a new sense of determination.
Thankfully, I recall everything from Zara's life, so I could easily find my way around the pack, and locating Rafael's room wasn't difficult.
As soon as I stepped inside, I wrinkled my nose in disgust. The air was thick with the stench of alcohol and something smoky I couldn't quite place.
I rushed to the window, pulling back the curtains and opening it wide. Sunlight poured in, and fresh air slowly pushed out the awful smell.
I turned around to take in the room properly. Clothes were scattered across the floor, empty bottles lying on the floor, and the bed looked like it hadn't been made in days.
It was messy, dark, and chaotic just like the man who lived here.
I heaved a deep breath, unable to believe how my life changed in a blink of an eye.
Once a powerful being, and now my status has been reduced to that of a slave.
I have no idea how I'll be able to adapt to this life, but I've got to try.
After giving myself a little pep talk, I went to grab the laundry basket and began picking up the clothes from the floor and putting them in the basket.
I saw a female's underwear lying on the floor as well, and my expression turned to that of disgust.
I couldn't touch it, so I grabbed an empty bottle and used it to pick up the underwear, but I didn't put it in the laundry basket with the other clothes, rather I threw it in the trash bag, where it's meant to be.
I saw a couple more females'clothing while cleaning, and I also threw them in the trash bag while muttering a few curses to the useless Alpha’s son.
It took me a few hours to tidy up the entire room, and by the time I was done, my entire body was exhausted and my stomach growling in hunger, but I was too tired to even think about food right now.
I let out a tired yawn and stared at the bed in front of me, the tiny bed in my room is nothing compared to this. I didn't give it much thought and simply went to lie on it; the moment my head hit the pillow, I could feel my exhaustion fading slowly, and I immediately fell asleep.
I had no idea how long I'd slept, but when I opened my eyes, a man was staring at me, his face way too close.
I screamed and slapped him hard across the cheek, then jumped off the bed in a panic.
"What the hell are you doing!?" I shouted.
He blinked, stunned, then said.
"Shouldn't I be..."
His voice trailed off. For a moment, he just stared at me. The anger in his eyes faded, replaced by something I couldn't quite understand. His gaze darkened as he took a slow breath.
Then he said it.
"Mate!"
My eyes widened in shock. He's Rafael! How could I have forgotten his face? I mentally facepalmed myself.
"How can I be mated to you?" Rafael said, his face twisted in disgust.
"A slave? An omega?"
I scoffed at his reaction. What's so terrible about being mated to an omega?
Not that I care what he thinks. Binding us together cost me everything, and I'm not letting him off the hook.
A slow smirk crept onto my lips. Taming this man who claims even the moon goddess couldn't tame him might actually be so much fun.
"Welcome to hell, my useless mate."
