Cruise Tyson White is the Alpha of the Dark-Cross Moon Pack. He is the most feared Alpha and has made his pack the most powerful in the whole of Virginia.
After the death of his father, Cruise is set to pick up his inheritance and return to Washington where his multimillion wine company and girlfriend were. To get the inheritance, he would have to bring forth an heir.
Chapter 1
Heir for Inheritance
The sun was high up in the sky and it was a sign that the day was going to be promising. Cruise Tyson White, the Alpha of the Dark-Cross Moon Pack, had just finished performing all his father's last right and he couldn't be happier.
He loved his father but war broke out in their pack and like a true hero, his father had sacrificed himself for the safety of the pack. Cruise who had fought alongside his father was aggrieved by the loss but now the ceremonies were all over and done with. It was now time for him to take the inheritance left for him by his father.
"Only one thing comes to mind when I see your face around Virginia," Lucas his beta smirked as they walked to the council's quarters.
"Oh, shut up. You know very well why I am here. I am not going to pretend like I do not want the money," Cruise replied.
Lucas chuckled but kept his comment to himself. The cruise was a good leader and their people were going to enjoy a very good leader. The only problem was, Cruise wasn't interested in staying in Virginia to rule the pack. He was a big businessman in Washington amongst the humans and he wanted nothing to do with the strings of the responsibilities that came with ruling a pack.
"Those old men had better not play any tricky games," Cruise said under his breath as they passed through the corridor that led to their designated office.
"They wouldn't dare. They were extremely loyal to your father and by the moon, they are bound to be loyal to you," Lucas replied with all seriousness.
"They had better be," Cruise mumbled as they continued their walk to the door.
His father, the late alpha had left a whooping sum of thirty-five trillion dollars as an inheritance for him and as long as he was done with the necessary rights, Cruise believed the inheritance should be handed over to him. Little did he know that the old man knew him far more than he knew himself.
Cruise pulled the door open the moment he got to it and the twelve elders, originally seated around the rectangular table got on their feet immediately.
"Long live the Alpha!" They are greeted as by their laws.
Cruise rolled his eyes at their antics for he wanted nothing to do with all of that. All he came for was the money and nothing else. But he knew he had to play the part for as long as the old men still had the money.
He waved his hand and took the centre seat reserved for the Alpha. "You may all sit," he said reluctantly.
The twelve men bowed respectfully and took their respective seats. Lucas also took a seat right across from Cruise.
"We are glad that you are still here my Alpha," the leader began. "The crowning ceremony should be set out immediately after you present to us your chosen Luna," the man said with excitement dancing in his small black eyes.
This made Cruise itch under his skin. He couldn't continue pretending around these people. He had to tell them the truth. He wasn't interested in ruling them, much less getting a Luna. That was just absurd. He was way too young for all of that
"Elder Moses, I am sorry to burst your excitement but I am going to be your Alpha," Cruise said and the room broke into murmurs as the elders and lawmakers looked among themselves in shock.
"Yes, I can't do all of these. I have a company in Washington and a whole life ahead of me. I can't do this." Cruise placed two fingers on his forehead and tried to think of the best way to break it to them. "You can call me if there is a major problem that needs solving or anything like that. I will help out. But I can't stay here and rule, no. I won't do that."
"But Alpha, if you are saying this, who then will rule in your place?" The second in command asked.
Cruise shrugged his shoulders. "You can give it to whoever you wish. Lucas, Jaden, anyone. Just count me out!" He replied nonchalantly.
Another wanted to speak but the leader held his hand in the air and silent fell immediately. He had been observing Cruise since he had been speaking and the old man saw what the younger man wanted.
"I know you Cruise. If you didn't want anything," he trailed emphasizing the last word. "...you wouldn't have arranged for this meeting. I am starting to wonder what is it you called us here for, if not for your crowning ceremony?"
Cruise relaxed into his chair and smiled at the man. He truly deserved to be the Head of the lawmakers and elders because his intelligence baffled Cruise.
"I want to get my inheritance. The will said it will be in your care," Cruise said confidently. The elders had no right to keep his inheritance from him. His father had given it to them for safekeeping and now all they had to do was hand it over.
Elder Moses' eyes glittered with mischief and Cruise felt his confidence start to wither.
"It is true that your inheritance is with us. But if you want to receive it, you will have to go back to our previous discussion, Alpha."
The word alpha fell unto Cruise like tiny decayed blades that cut without mercy. His stomach started to turn.
"What do you mean?"
Elder Moses looked at his colleagues and they all smiled. "Your father made us all vow not to hand over the inheritance to you until you bring us an heir."
"What?" Cruise snapped. This was nonsense. They were making it up!
"You see Alpha, your father that this day will come. He knew that you will refuse to take the responsibility of ruling over the pack. That was why he set this clause in place," the second in command added.
The cruise was about to explode on them when Lucas passed him an envelope.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
