Introduction
Chapter 1
Ophelia's POV
My fiancé, Alpha Phillips Aldington, was embracing Carlee, speaking in a concerned manner. Then, he turned to look in my direction and scolded me, demanding an apology for the sake of Carlee.
"Why should I apologize to a homewrecker? Besides, I just protected her!" I protested, sighing deeply at everything I had endured.
"Guarding the Devil Lycan's cell is your responsibility, Ophelia," Phillips said, looking at Carlee in his arms with gentle eyes without even glancing at me. "If Carlee gets hurt, it's your fault, and you should be punished."
His words pierced into my heart like knives.
An hour ago, Carlee secretly trespassed into the forbidden area I was guarding, the prison where Devil Lycan was held. She nearly released that mighty and frightening demon. Luckily, my wolf Alyee sensed something was wrong and brought me there just in time to save her. Seizing the opportunity to rescue Devil Lycan, three gray wolves, much larger than me, attacked. Their claws cut through my shoulder like arrows, and their teeth pierced my ankles. But I, swearing in the name of the future Luna of the Pack, protected Carlee, ensuring she suffered no harm!
"I'm fine, Phillips. Ophelia didn't release Devil Lycan intentionally to hurt me," Carlee said softly, holding onto Phillips' neck as she whispered, then fainted the next second.
"Carlee? Carlee?" Phillips' face immediately showed worry.
"She's lying, Phillips! I didn't release Devil Lycan!" I couldn't help but shout.
"Shut up." Phillips glanced at me coldly.
"As the Alpha, I command you to stay here and reflect," Phillips said, carrying Carlee towards the door. "The Moon Goddess chose you to be my Luna, but that doesn't mean you can defy my orders. If you continue acting like a lunatic, you will regret it."
I was covered in the blood of those gray wolves, but he didn't care. He didn't even ask about my wounds. Watching their receding figures, I could feel tears filling my eyes. My nails dug into my palm, my knuckles turned white, and veins appeared on my hand.
But then, I released my clenched fist because I remembered who I was.
I was Ophelia, Alpha Phillips Aldington's fiancée and his mate. As everyone knew, a mate was chosen by the Moon Goddess, a love blessed by a mate bond. The day I became Phillips' mate was the happiest day of my life.
When I was five, Phillips' father, old Alpha Eric, found me and took me home. I grew up with Phillips. He was the most powerful Alpha among all werewolves, and I fell in love with him the first time I saw him. To become a qualified Luna, I studied and trained diligently, becoming the strongest shewolf in the pack. Eventually, I obtained permission from the former Alpha to become his fiancée.
It was the opportunity I earned through fifteen years of hard work. I held myself to the highest standards, striving to be the best Luna. I was willing to comply with Phillips's request as long as it brought him happiness.
Everything was perfect until Carlee appeared, and everything changed. She was beautiful, lovable, innocent, and different from me, who was plain and focused only on training and work. Everyone in the pack liked her, including Phillips. Since then, he had become cold and heartless, never visiting me. But I still loved him. I believed that as long as I could be a perfect Luna, I could regain Phillips' love.
"Ophelia, you need treatment," my wolf Alyee said.
I let Alyee take over.
The white wolf lay on the ground, licking the wounds on my body with her tongue. It was very effective for werewolf healing.
"Thank you, Alyee."
"If I were you, I wouldn't have saved Carlee. She should be punished for trespassing into the forbidden area. Besides, she is a bitch!" Alyee grumbled, dissatisfied. She had a bad temper, sometimes even uncontrollable to me.
"Watch your tongue, Alyee. She looks so cute and fragile outside; everyone in the pack likes her. If she gets hurt, it's a failure on my part as the next Luna, and Phillips will be disappointed in me," I sighed deeply. As I watched the wounds begin to heal, I tried to regain control of my body.
"No, Ophelia. You're injured and need rest," Alyee insisted.
"You know it. Devil Lycan doesn't affect me much. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been chosen to guard him. I have more important things to do. Let me take control, Alyee," I insisted.
"Fine, as you wish," Alyee reluctantly conceded.
I shifted back into human form, straightened my clothes, and stood up to reinforce the silver chains torn loose in the cell.
"Ophelia, what happened to you? Are you injured?" The Devil Lycan, Ryan Rodriguez, sitting in the cell, asked. I couldn't see his face but could only see his golden eyes shining with the Devil inside. When he noticed me looking at him, he added, "If you're so weak and distracted, be careful that I take the opportunity to escape and kill you."
Even with the chains, his powerful presence quickened my heartbeat. "Shut up!"
"Ophelia, sacrificing yourself to save your mate is such a foolish thing to do. I have a better solution," he said as the chains gradually tightened around him. His voice weakened, but it carried a seductive allure. "Release me, and I will eliminate Carlee for you. Then, Phillips will be yours alone. How about that?"
Did I desire to possess Phillips?
Yes, I did. I wanted to possess Phillips like a madwoman so he could only see and talk to me every day.
My trembling hands, holding the chains, stopped and slowly relaxed. Following my movements, the chains loosened.
The Devil Lycan's name was Ryan Rodriguez. According to legend, multiple packs had captured and imprisoned him for slaughtering werewolves. I didn't know his age or past, but I knew he possessed abilities surpassing all other werewolves. Only this specially crafted silver chain could restrain him. Now, if I released the chains, nothing could stop him, and no one could come between me and Phillips.
Perhaps I should release the chains.

After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
