Chapter 1
Mary knew not what was going to happen. But she was certain she could face anything.
She finally reached SS3c and walked in with quick confident strides.
Catching the attention of everyone in class. All the boys watched her in awe and some of the girls too while others stared in jealousy as she looked too gorgeous.
They were whispering amongst themselves but she didn't care. She loved and thrived on the attention she was getting.
She looked around the classroom scanning the faces of the students where were graced with the opportunity of being her classmates.
They looked too plain and ordinary for her liking but one person stood out to her it was a girl sitting at the third row.
She walked up to the girl and gave her a once over.
She studied her features, the girl was average looking, she was about 5'4 feet tall, she had short natural hair that was parked in a neat braid, a cute button nose, plump pink lips but not as bright as hers ofcourse, she had fair skin and from the watch she is wearing she had class.
She could see herself being friends with the girl.
The girl looked at her and asked in a timid voice.
"Hey, you must be the girl who faced off with Dean?" The girl spoke leaving Mary confused.
"What?!" She asked wondering who the fuck Dean was.
The girl was taken aback by her words as she flinch a little before asking "What's... your name?" She stuttered.
'so she is also shy, that's perfect!' Mary thought.
She loved being in control and seeing as this girl is shy she could be her minion for the time being.
"Well my name is mary and you are lucky to have me as your seat mate" she dropped her bag on the desk and sat down with her legs crossed.
The girl stood there gapping at her like a fish.
"Would you sit down or go find a new seat?" Mary asked in an irritated tune.
The girl immediately sat beside her.
"What's your name?" Mary asked with an different look.
"My name is Angela Okeke" the girl shyly answered
"What's yours?"
"It's Mary Jackson, MJ for short" she answered
"You have a lovely name" Angela complimented her
"I know I do" she smiled cockily.
She took the time to look at the classroom, and smiled victoriously when she saw that all eyes were on her.
It was break time when Mary and Angela left the classroom side by side.
As they passed by students turned and started at them others even going to the extent of openly pointing at Mary and whispering amongst themselves.
Mary had no idea what they were whispering about but she was confident they were just admiring her and she loved it.
They got into the cafeteria and joined the food line.
Only a single person was before them and Mary was glad that she didn't have to stand for long.
The boy got his food and was about to turn around when he bumped into Mary causing his snacks and drink to spill.
"What the fuck is your problem!" The boy shouted in a rude way.
Mary looked at him with a frown etched on her face, all her previous smile and good mood lost.
"It just had to be you again!" She scoffed.
"I'm not even surprised this time around" she shouted gaining the attention of everyone in the cafeteria
"You blind bat, you have the guts to shout at me after spilling my food? You should be on your knees begging for my forgiveness you dump bitch" He angrily spat out.
"Excuse you, mannerless fool! First you bump into me and then you dare insult me...how dare you?" She angrily screeched
"I'm fed up of your little attitude blind bat, I advice you stay the fuck away from me" he angrily shouts and made to walk away but Mary grabbed his arm.
"You don't get to walk away from me dump fuck, that's my thing" she scoffed and walked out of the cafeteria leaving Dean and everyone else in shock.
Mary angrily stomped back to the classroom and plupped down on her sit, fuming with anger.
That stupid fool just had to show up and ruin both her mood and appetite. She met him only twice but she already despised his personality.
"How dare he insult me? That fool!" She mumbled under her breath as she glared at the white board before her.
A few minutes later Angela showed up with snacks and sat beside her.
"Since you left without eating I thought I should at least get you this" she handed a surprised Mary a packet of plantation chips and a bottle of pepsi.
"Uhm....thanks" Mary muttered and accepted the snacks.
She was not used to accepting stuff from people she just met. She was mostly the one giving so receiving something from a stranger was a new thing to her.
~~~~~~~~~~~
School ended and Mary was more than glad to go home.
She rushed to the gate but not before seeing something that nearly made her gag.
She saw Dean and a girl passionately kissing by the school gate. They were so lost in the kiss that they didn't notice the crowd of students that gathered around them.
'What's with all the romance around?' She thought
First she saw a girl getting fingered by some black faced dude and now this fool was kissing....Now that she thought about it, it was thesame girl.
She averted he eyes from the scene and scanned the surrounding. When she saw her Dad's car she immediately walked to it.
"Good afternoon" She greeted the driver who was leaning on the car.
"Good evening small madam" the driver replied with his thick Yoruba accent as he opened the door for her.
She got into the car and dropped her bag beside her. She took a deep breath as a smile made it's way to her face.
Now that's what freedom smells like.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
