Introduction

Excerpt from 'Escapades with the fake maid' Chapter ??
~

Layla gave the 'maid' standing before her, teary-eyed, a scrutinising once-over. "The job posting was for a female. And...you are not."
Ignoring the maid's pale look, she continued, "So, what's your real name and age?"
"M-my name is Carle," the maid divulged with a shaky voice, "Carle McCarthy. I'm...actually...29,"
"Why are you, a man, disguising yourself as a maid in my household?" Layla asked with a brow lifted in curiosity.
"My late father...he was a drunkard, a gambler and a chronic debtor. Even wanted to use me as payment to one of the numerous creditors. But the latter thought I wasn't even worth a dollar and sent me back. By chance, I..."

Chapter 1

KITTEN’S POV

“Bye, dear!” My mom told me as she hurried down the driveway. She was late for work and had little time to get ready, so her vibrant red hair was a mess, and I almost chuckled in amusement as she tried to tie it into a knot while running down the street.

“Safe journey, mum,” I waved back until she was out of my sight. Then I went back into the three-bedroom apartment where we live. My stepdad bought it 2 months before he died 7 years ago. He’d saved up to buy this dream home for all of us, but sadly, he never got to live in it. Mom has never opened her heart to any other man, so she never remarried. I do hope she does so one day.

I have a stepbrother, and his name’s William. We’re both 18 this year and have finished high school. As it is, our dear mother hasn’t been able to raise money to further either of our education, and we decided not to stress her more than she already was. I took on a part-time job as a waitress at a nearby famous restaurant, and my stepbrother, a popular gamer, would often lock himself up in his room, gaming most of the time.

From the time I turned 14, I started growing feelings for him, and it scared me at first. I knew it was wrong and tried everything possible to get rid of the feelings, but I failed. I couldn’t stop my feelings from becoming stronger. I successfully hid my feelings from him, though and played the role of a good stepsister, even though I wanted to be something more- a sister with benefits.

While I inherited my mom’s red hair, green eyes, and petite figure, William, on the other hand, was well-built with dark hair, ocean-blue eyes — the colour of the sea in winter — and an athletic body that didn’t make sense, since he was always indoors, playing games.

Whenever I saw him, I just couldn’t help thinking that he’s the creator’s favourite. I mean, how could a human look so damn hot?

As I scanned the living room with my eyes, I finally focused my gaze on the clock. It’s 9 minutes past seven. I’m pretty sure my stepbrother’s still in his room gaming.

He hardly socialised anyway.

I headed to my room and changed out of my clothes into a white towel, and then I headed out to the bathroom. With full confidence, I opened the bathroom door wide and entered, only to hear a scolding

“Can’t you knock?”

My eyes met the side profile of my stepbrother, nude in the shower. I knew he was hot, but gosh! This was too much of a feast!

Yet I knew I couldn’t look on any longer.

“I’m sorry, William. I thought you were still in your room,” I said with an apologetic face while having no intention of leaving.

“Get out!” he barked in ire, his hands covering his special part from my sight, and a part of me really wished he didn’t cover it at all. This was such a fantastic opportunity!

“Are you deaf?” he threw a slipper at me, and in the process of dodging, I slipped. While trying hard not to fall, desperate for anything to hold onto, my towel decided it was done cladding my body too, and so it loosened and fell off before I fell to the floor.

“Ahhhh!” I let out a shriek on seeing my exposed state. Next, I covered my boobs with one hand as I hurriedly rose to my feet, picking up the towel.

“I’m sorry,” I apologised before rushing out of the bathroom without closing the door behind me. I headed straight to my room and slammed the door shut. Only then did I realise that I was just holding the towel. I tied it around my chest and sat on the bed, covering my face in mortification.

He’d clearly seen what I was trying to hide, and since I didn’t even recall covering myself before fleeing, he must have seen my nude butt as I ran off.

Gosh!

If only the ground could open and swallow me now. How was I to face him, after what happened minutes ago?

William’s POV.

The warm water relaxed my muscles, which was a welcome feeling after pulling an all-nighter playing a championship in the RPG with my teammates.

It was a tough battle since we were playing against an equally strong team, but we won at last, and the victory felt like candy on my tongue.

As I replayed the killing move I used to end the other team, the door was pushed open, and Kitten carelessly and absentmindedly waltzed into the bathroom without knocking.

“Can’t you knock?” My voice came out stronger than I intended as I hurriedly used my hands to cover up my nether regions from her sight.

She frantically tried to apologise, but I needed her to leave quickly, so I tossed a slipper in her direction…

While trying to elude, she slipped, and that made my heart nearly jump out of my chest.

Of course, I wanted to prevent her from falling, but not in this state! I believed she’ll at most fall on her butt, get back on her feet and leave. Then I’d apologise to her at a later time.

But her towel just had to fall off, and her glory, something forbidden for me, was all exposed before me.

My stepsister was the most beautiful female I’d ever seen in my life, and though I did have some sort of unspeakable feelings for her after I turned 15, I always kept them to myself and acted cold and distant from her.

The few seconds that I saw her body with my mouth open in shock, I was forced to press harder on my lower part. I couldn’t let her see what her nude self was doing to me down there.

“Get out!” I yelled, and she roseto her feet before fleeing. She didn’t even bother to cover herself up before running away, and didn’t close the door either.

Even though it felt wrong, I also felt that this was a rare opportunity, so I fed my eyes with the amazing view of her round, jiggling butt until she was out of sight.

It was only then that I recalled the bathroom door was still open, and I had to close it with reluctance.

Not only that, my bird down there was hard. I needed to cool it off, and cold water wouldn’t just help like it did in the past.

Dear readers, this novel is coming to an end soon. I highly recommend another fantastic story of the same genre:

I’d appreciate all your support, thank you so much!
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
