Asiento y me separo del abrazo. Empiezo a sentir la necesidad de ir al baño, así que me levanto de golpe y tambaleo un poco. Pam se levanta para ayudarme a no caer.

—¿A dónde vas?

—Quiero hacer pis —respondo.

—Déjame ir contigo —sugiere Pam.

—No —me río a carcajadas—. Ya vuelvo. —Me aparto de su agarre.

—¿Segura?

—Sí —respondo antes de tambalearme hacia el baño. Sé que mi amiga aprovechará el poco tiempo que tengo antes de volver, ya que veo a un chico guiñarle un ojo.

Mis ojos se están volviendo más pequeños y me cuesta localizar el baño. Me doy cuenta de lo borracha que estoy. Me froto los ojos con el dorso de la mano derecha para ver más claro. Veo que el baño está a unos pocos pasos.

—Te odio, Cameron. Te odio —lloro mientras pongo mis dos manos en las paredes para guiarme hacia el pequeño pasillo que lleva al baño.

Lo miro y me pregunto por qué está en el baño de mujeres en lugar del de hombres.

—Pareces borracha —se burla y se dirige al espejo para lavarse las manos.

Me duele su comentario.

—¿Cómo te atreves a llamarme borracha? —lo sigo enfadada.

Estaba bebiendo para olvidar mi pena de cómo Cameron me dejó por una chica de fiesta. Beber realmente no me está ayudando a olvidar y aquí estoy en un baño con un hombre que me llama borracha.

El hombre parece sorprendido por mi grito. Se da la vuelta y cruza los brazos.

—¿No estás borracha?

—Claro que no —eructo.

Él se ríe suavemente y vuelve a terminar de lavarse las manos para poder salir.

—Pervertido —lo insulto—. Sé que estás aquí porque quieres echar un vistazo a las bragas de todas las chicas que entran aquí.

—¿Te callarás de una vez? —me ladra molesto. Sus ojos de repente se vuelven rojos y tiemblo de miedo. Me asusta el tono de autoridad. Me mira fijamente por un momento antes de caminar hacia mí.

Está a unos pasos de mí cuando empiezo a caminar hacia atrás, viendo la mirada peligrosa en su rostro.

Cuando mi espalda choca contra la pared, abro los ojos de par en par, con el corazón latiendo con fuerza. Observo su rostro; sus ojos azules cristalinos, la nariz larga y puntiaguda, los labios rosados, el bigote y su cabello negro ondulado. Se ve guapo y peligroso.

Me alejo de su vista y pregunto:
