Introduction
The call boy took the black card, frowning.
She: "Not enough? You're good, but don’t push it."
He dressed, leaving behind a cold warning—"You'll regret this😡!"
A week later, she knelt before the Lycan King🐺, begging for a divorce ruling.
And there he was. Her call boy. Sitting on the throne.
He: "(Smirking) Uh-huh😈?"
Chapter 1
(Violet’s POV)
"Ten million. You should leave now—my husband is coming back today."
As we were both climaxing, Luc's fangs instinctively neared my neck, but I pushed him away.
We can kiss, we can have sex, but we can never mark each other. Especially in this moment — because he was just my call boy.
Luc raised an eyebrow, his muscular upper body still bare, revealing his flawless muscles. "I thought you'd want to go for another round like usual. "
He grabbed my hand, making me feel his heated chest muscles. His beautiful golden eyes looked down at me, his voice laced with temptation.
"...Not one more time? Let your husband go away. One more time, and I'll tell you a secret of mine..."
He seemed to have made up his mind, pausing for a moment before saying, "A secret that will surprise you."
My call boy was the most handsome man I had ever seen, far beyond my husband. His cock and skills were also impressive, always driving me out of control.
As he spoke, he looked down at me. I’ll admit, for a moment, I was tempted by his damn sexy charm.
But I took a deep breath, and pushed him away again.
“ — No, I don't want to know.”
I put on my clothes, stood and tossed a check for 10 million dollars at him, "That’s double your usual, Luc. This is compensation for you. We’re done."
The thin piece of paper fell onto his chest. He frowned, as if in disbelief. "What?"
I put on my boots. “Thank you for the past three years. Your secret no longer concerns me — I won’t be seeing you again.”
His gaze was chilling, clearly holding back his anger. "...After three years, you think you can just toss me money and walk away?"
“Your husband betrayed you, and you're still planning to go back?!”
I fell silent for a moment, then smiled.
"Why not?" I gathered myself, pushed the door open. "If you're not satisfied with the price...Well, Although your size is impressive, you can't be too greedy."
"Goodbye, my dear."
I left the room without hesitation. As I walked down the stairs, I heard he's angry pounding on the wall from inside the room.
"—...Violet, You’ll regret this!!!" His voice echoed from a distance.
I shrugged, walked out of the house, started my car, and drove toward home.
Parting is always a regretful thing. He needs to adjust to this. But compared to call boy Luc, my husband, who I hadn’t seen in three years, is back.
That's all because of my sister; my relationship with my fated mate husband was never good.
For all these years, my mate bond often hurt because of him. So, I was forced to use a call boy to soothe my wolf.
I paid the price, and my call boy paid with himself. This deal was fair.
I no longer prayed for us to love each other like normal mates. But in the past, I still hoped, at the very least, we could live together in harmony.
The heavy gates creaked open, and I rolled to a stop in front of the grand entrance.
I stepped out, boots clicking against the marble, and inhaled.
Their scent hit me like a punch to the gut.
Ronan. And My sister Elara.
They lounged on the pristine white sofa I paid for, like they belonged there.
Ronan nervously and seriously took care of Elara. Didn’t even flinch.
"Violet," Ronan didn’t even glance at me, he simply said casually. "You’re home."
"Long time no see, my dear little sister," Elara said, stroking her belly, smiling happily. "We have good news,"
I said nothing. But I had already realized what they were about to say — my wolf was growling in fury, as if ready to tear them all to pieces in the next moment.
Ronan’s lips curled into a smirk. "Elara’s pregnant."
Pregnant.
Of course.
The air thickened, heavy and suffocating.
Elara beamed, placing a dainty hand on her stomach. "We’re so happy. Ronan’s going to be a father."
My wolf kept howling inside my heart.
I should have known the moment he left me, holding Elara on the day we got married — this was bound to happen sooner or later.
"How sweet," My voice devoid of warmth. "But this house isn’t yours, and neither is my life."
Ronan’s blue eyes darkened, his jaw tightening. "We need space, Violet. Elara’s health comes first now. You should pack your things and leave."
I laughed. "You want me out of my own home? Because my sister’s womb is full?"
"Ronan, Everyone in this city knows. This estate was bought by me — every inch of land, every patch of lawn, it was all earned by me."
"Your family is nothing but an empty shell with a noble title, only enjoying the wealth I earned because we were mates, because we once loved each other... And now, you want me to leave?"
Elara stopped Ronan from helping her and slowly walked toward me, taking my hand as if to show concern. "Oh, my sister, how could you be so selfish? ... Anyway, you have so much property, what's the harm in giving some to Ronan's family?"
Before I could respond to her words, Elara leaned in close to my ear and, in a voice only we could clearly hear, venomously whispered.
"...No matter how rich you are or how much more talented than me you may be, Violet, You're nothing but a pathetic loser, your husband is mine."
Her lips curled into a vicious smile. "Ronan chose me. You couldn’t even give him a child."
My wolf was enraged. I shot Elara a cold glance. Elara flinched but recovered quickly.
Elara clutched her belly, as if wounded "Violet! I know you're jealous of me, but how could you do this to me... to my child?"
Ronan immediately stood up and pushed me away without hesitation. "What did you do to Elara?"
I looked at my sister and my husband, standing together so happily, as if they were the true couple.
But I no longer wanted to care about them.
I said, "Ronan, I need to talk to you. About our marriage."
Ronan furrowed his brow, giving me an answer between tending to Elara. "What? Unless you're going to apologize to Elara, I don't think there's any point."
"Violet, it was you who begged me to marry you back then. Stop saying things like you want to fight for my love like before. Don't hurt Elara again! "
...Again?
My wolf painfully tried to stop me from saying those words, but I had already made up my mind.
A mocking smile curved on my lips. "No, I’m about to say something that will make both you and Elara happy."
"I submitted my divorce petition two weeks ago —"
Ronan blinked, taken aback. "What?"
His expression turned to anger. "How dare you?!... Don't make jokes like that!"
But I ignored Ronan, walked up the stairs, stood at the top, and said,
"Now, leave my house."
(Lucian's Pov)
"Your Majesty, Here is your latest schedule: The Werewolf Court has invited you to visit and observe their operations and Lycan pack is urging you to return… "
But he still casually wore his shirt, as if indifferent.
The servant’s voice trembled, finally asked. "Your Majesty, why won’t you tell her? You’ve hidden who you are for three years… If she knew you're —"
"Enough," He cut him off coldly.
Luc, no, we need to call him The Lycan king Lucian.
Lucian stood in front of the tall mirror, adjusting the silver cufflinks on his sleeves with slow precision. The silk of his black shirt hugged his frame, every movement exuding effortless power and nobility.
The lingering, ambiguous lipstick mark Violet left was still on his neck. The collar of his shirt slowly covered it.
Lucian’s lips curved, a slow, arrogant smile touching his face as he studied his reflection—he murmured, his gaze sharp as a blade.
"...Let her run,"
“wait and see.”
