Rejected Mate Returns
Samita Leoni · Ongoing · 76.7k Words
Introduction
After assuming the title of Alpha, Lyra was betrayed and brutally rejected, not only by Rowan, but also by her entire pack and her stepsister Calista, with whom Rowan was having a secret affair.
“I reject Moon Wolf Lyra as my mate. She was found in bed with a stranger, which means she would betray the pack. The punishment for treason is death,” Alpha Rowan announced mercilessly.
The chants of the pack members and visiting Alphas, who had come to the Alphas’ conference, echoed through the trial. No one thought that Alpha Mikail, whose name sent shivers down spines due to his cruelty, would attend the conference.
Lyra found hope when she realized that Alpha Mikail was her second-chance mate, but she was painfully rejected once again. The double rejection caused her to lose her wolf, and she was sentenced to death by all the Alphas present.
She thought her fate was sealed when Alpha Mikail left and a warrior prepared to execute her. Everyone was stunned when, suddenly, Alpha Mikail turned around.
“Stop! The traitorous daughter of a deceased Alpha must not die. More suffering still awaits her,” he declared.
Lyra’s heart sank as she saw his dark gaze, deep as an abyss, while she fainted from exhaustion.
A few months later, a war broke out among the Alphas, as they began to fight over the Moon who had been rejected twice.
With her she-wolf dead, would the Moon Goddess be generous enough to give her another she-wolf? And which Alpha would be able to melt her now-cold heart?
Chapter 1
Chapter 1: The Trial of the Fallen Moon
The air smelled of incense and blood. The main hall of the Moonfang pack, which had once been my home, now felt like a prison.
Silver chains burned against my wrists as I knelt in the center of the room, my gaze lowered and my heart pounding with fury. Not out of fear, but out of helplessness.
The Alphas’ conference had been an event of honor, a time when the leaders of the most powerful packs gathered to discuss alliances and disputes.
However, what should have been a diplomatic event had turned into a public trial against me, the daughter of the slain Alpha and the mate of the newly appointed Alpha Rowan.
I was on my knees in the center of the room, my hair falling messily across my face, while my shaky breathing was the only thing breaking the silence before the verdict.
“I reject Luna Lyra as my mate,” Rowan’s voice rang out coldly, echoing through the room.
Rowan’s words were a cold knife plunging into my chest. My head snapped up, my lips trembled, but I couldn’t speak.
No, this couldn’t be happening.
“She was found in bed with a stranger,” he continued in a harsh voice, with no trace of the man who once promised me eternal love. “Which means she would betray the pack.” The punishment for betrayal is death.
The murmurs turned into shouts of fury. They were accusing me. They were condemning me.
“That’s a lie!” My voice sounded torn, like an echo lost in the crowd.
“Liar!” Calista stepped forward with her head held high, her perfect face lit by a malicious smile. “Everyone knows you’re not worthy of being our Moon. And now we know you’re unfaithful, too. You only wanted the title of Moon and took advantage of Rowan’s kindness.”
The betrayal hit me harder than any death sentence. My own stepsister. The girl my father adopted, the one who shared my home and my family…
“She’s behind it all”
My eyes searched for Rowan, begging to find a glimmer of doubt, of love, of anything. But I saw only his contempt.
His lips curled as if even my gaze disgusted him.
“I saw you with my own eyes, Lyra,” he said, with a coldness that tore me in two. “There’s nothing more to say.”
He didn’t believe me.
“Rowan, I didn’t…”
“Just accept the rejection already and spare me the trouble of having to keep looking at your face,” he declared in a cold, impersonal voice.
My chest tightened, suffocated by despair. The truth had turned to ashes, and no one was trying to gather them up.
“I… Lyra Blackthorne… accept your rejection… Alpha Rowan,” my voice was a broken whisper.
He brought a hand to his chest, and the cold expression on his face barely shifted. That was what hurt me the most.
All the love he had professed to me and his words of protection went down the drain. He had chosen not to trust me, even though I was his mate, his partner destined by the moon goddess.
“The Ex-Luna deserves to be exiled!”
The pack members began to shout, some demanding my immediate execution. The visiting Alphas watched with interest, but none of them intervened.
No one would stand up in defense of a she-wolf branded a traitor.
The commotion grew as a dark presence made itself known. A chill ran down my spine.
The room, which had been buzzing with cries of condemnation, fell into a deathly silence.
“Alpha Mikail,” a disbelieving voice broke the silence.
The most feared man among the Alphas. His mere presence drained the air from the room.
His eyes, deep and dark as an abyss, scanned the scene with utter disinterest. His gaze settled on me, and a chill ran up my spine.
My wolf awoke.
Not from fear, but from something deeper. Recognition.
My heart pounded, a golden thread began to weave between us.
It was faint, barely a breeze compared to the gale I’d felt with Rowan, but it was there. Alive.
My lips parted in a silent gasp. Mikail was my second chance.
For a moment, something in his gaze wavered. A flicker of doubt crossed his eyes, as if he hadn’t expected this, as if… he didn’t want this to be real.
My soul cried out in silent supplication.
But the spark died out.
His face hardened again.
“I, Alpha Mikail of the Silverbane pack, reject Lyra Blackthorne as my mate.”
The world shattered around me.
No. No, no, no.
The pain of rejection was a fire that pierced my chest, but this time… it was worse. I felt my wolf howl inside me. Her lament was heart-wrenching, and then… silence.
Emptiness.
My wolf died inside me.
A heart-wrenching scream escaped my lips and I collapsed to the ground, unable to stand. The bond broken twice… was a fate worse than death.
The voices around me became a distant murmur.
“If she has lost her wolf, she is no longer a Moon.
“Then she has no purpose.
“She will be executed at dawn.”
Everything faded into shadows. I was falling… falling…
Until his voice stopped me.
“Stop!”
It was Mikail.
The voices died away.
I forced my eyes open and saw him. Standing there, like a cruel god looking down on a mere insect.
“The traitorous daughter of a deceased Alpha must not die so quickly. More suffering still awaits her.”
My heart sank at the sight of his dark, merciless gaze.
The trial was over. But my true torment was just beginning.
The abyss closed in on me. And I fell into the darkness.

Pregnant by My Husband's Rival Alpha
Those words should have destroyed me, but the truth was worse: I'd been used as a broodmare by the man who swore to love me, set up in a hotel room with a stranger because My husband Alexander Cross couldn't father children himself, and now I carried the secret babies of Damon Lester—the most powerful and dangerous Alpha in San Loris—while my own family replaced me with the daughter they'd always wanted. But when that same stranger's doctor appeared at my door, when twenty million dollars exchanged hands over a fake perfume bearing my secret identity, and when Damon's gray eyes locked onto mine with recognition I couldn't afford, I realized my carefully hidden life as the legendary perfumer Vera was colliding with a pregnancy that could cost me everything.
Could I protect my babies from the husband plotting my death, hide my true identity from the Alpha who's been hunting me for years, and reclaim the freedom I'd buried along with my dreams—even if it means standing alone against the wolves who see me as nothing more than a womb to be used and discarded?
Iron And Glamour Just Don't Mix
Well… Sometimes you just might turn out to be right.
It turns out, the fae stole my little brother. In his place? A pixie with boundary issues and a talent for home repairs.
I’ve spent my life taking care of everyone else. So when my baby brother is taken, I don’t hesitate. I walk straight into a faerie mansion and make a bargain with its infuriatingly charming master.
Kie is everything you’d expect from a dangerous fae, beautiful, political, and entirely too amused by me. Power wrapped in a smirk. Sensual, mischievous, and far too aware of the effect he has on people. He agrees to help me find my brother.
For a price.
Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.
Iron is how I keep people out.
Glamour is how he draws them in.
And apparently, they just don’t mix.

Excerpt:
She lay before him in all her magnificent beauty draped across his king-size bed in the most compelling and provocative way known to man or beast. And for Alpha Zayne, it was the most captivating view he had ever had the pleasure of seeing with his own eyes.
She stared at his every movement, lips slightly parted, her stunning brown eyes scanning every inch of his gorgeously toned and glorious body while heat radiated off of hers. He was HERS.
Her body trembled in delight and anticipation; she was ready and wanted to be with him in every way.
As innocent as she was, she wanted him to...no need him to take her in the worse ways, bringing her to heights of pleasures she had never experienced before.
Fuck she is beautiful, one fine specimen, and she is all MINE, MY MATE. A wave of pure unbridled possessiveness vibrated through Alpha Zayne. He thanked the Divine Moon Goddess, for she has truly blessed him.
He drank her in, eyes trailing up her toned sexy legs spread wide for him, and she gave him that come-and-get-it look.
Reborn: My Biased Brothers Beg Me To Come Back
She genuinely took in Regina, the butler's daughter, only to be constantly manipulated by this cunning and manipulative woman.
Regina gradually stole the love from her three brothers.
Arabella was forced to give Regina blood transfusions time and again, her weight plummeting to a mere eighty-eight pounds.
Ultimately, under the relentless pressure from her brothers, she jumped out of a window in despair and died. Her last words were,
"What about Regina's blood transfusions?"
When she opened her eyes again, Arabella found herself reborn three years earlier—the very day Regina appeared at her doorstep crying, begging for help.
Looking at the pitiful, tearful girl before her, Arabella smiled.
No more soft-heartedness.
No more groveling.
Instead, she "kindly" arranged for Regina to move into the servants' quarters, to earn her own living through honest labor.
Faced with her brothers who sided with her, she no longer bothered to please them.
And towards her former fiancé, Theodore, whom she had once fawned over, she remained cold, distant, and indifferent.
Moreover, in this life, they would discover that her identity was far more than just the eldest daughter of the Oberon family.

He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
