Introduction
Chapter 1
Tears streamed down my face after reading Daddy’s last will and testament. I still hadn’t recovered from his sudden death, and I couldn’t accept what was written in it.
“So, he didn’t leave me anything except debts?”
Atty. Mendez nodded. “I’m sorry, Lilith, but that’s really what’s written in his will.”
“What kind of will is that if he didn’t leave anything for me? What will happen to me now?”
“Maybe your father didn’t tell you the truth. He tried to recover from the bankruptcy, but it was already too late.”
I looked around our mansion. “I can’t leave this place. All my parents’ memories are here.”
“I’m sorry, Lilith, but you have to leave this mansion because tomorrow the new owner will arrive.”
“Atty, can I pay Daddy’s debt in installments so I can get this mansion back?”
“I’m not the one you should talk to about that, but the new owner of this mansion.”
I nodded. “Thank you.”
“I’m sorry, Lilith, if there’s nothing more I can do for you.”
I nodded and gave Atty. Mendez a small smile.
When Daddy’s lawyer left, my tears finally poured out. I was angry at myself for not being a good daughter.
“Dad, I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed someone.”
I stood up and looked at our big family picture. “It’s true. You only realize your mistakes when it’s already too late.” Tears fell again. “Dad, Mom, forgive me if I wasn’t a good daughter. I couldn’t do anything to help you. Especially you, Daddy, I didn’t even realize you were already struggling. I’m such a bad daughter, but I promise you I’ll stand up again and bring back everything we lost.” I wiped my tears.
I started packing my clothes in case I couldn’t convince the new owner of our mansion and had to leave.
While I was packing, I heard someone knocking on the door. I stood up and opened it.
“Manang Hilda.” I gave a smile.
“Ma’am Lilith, let me help you.”
I shook my head. “This is no longer your job.”
“Ma’am Lilith…”
“Be good to your new employer.”
“If I didn’t need money, I would go with you.”
I shook my head. “Don’t waste the good life you have because of me. Don’t worry, I can manage.”
Tears fell from her eyes. “Ma’am Lilith, I’ll miss you.”
I hugged my maid. “I’ll miss you too. When I become rich again, you’ll still be the one I’ll hire.”
“I’ll wait for that.”
I smiled faintly. “What’s important is you won’t lose your job because the new owner is keeping you.”
She nodded. “It’s sad because we already have a different master.”
“Alright, I’ll just finish what I’m doing,” I changed the subject.
When she left, I continued packing. I had many things I could sell, especially my expensive bags. Maybe I could buy a condo if everything was sold, but if the new owner allowed it, I’d rather use the money to pay him so I wouldn’t be forced to leave.
THE NEXT DAY, I woke up early to wait for the new owner of the house. My things were already ready in case he ordered me to leave.
“Ma’am Lilith, the new owner is here,” the maid said.
I came out of my room to meet him. But while I was still going down the stairs, I already saw the man. My heart started pounding when I recognized who the new owner of the mansion was.
I walked down and approached him. “A-Aeros.”
“I couldn’t believe that our former driver and my ex-boyfriend were now the new owners of the house.”
He looked at me seriously. “Hello, Miss Falcon,” he greeted formally.
I swallowed. “Aeros… you’re the new owner of our mansion?”
“Yes, and you can leave now.”
I studied him from head to toe. He looked very different now—more serious. His clothes had changed too. His skin looked smoother and a bit fairer.
“Aeros, did you buy this on purpose to take revenge on me?”
“What if I tell you you’re right? Is there anything you can do?”
“Aeros, forgive me for what I did to you.”
“Whether I forgive you or not, I will still take this mansion because your father used it as collateral for the money he borrowed from me.”
“My dad is gone, but I’ll pay what he owed you.”
“Okay. Pay the two hundred million, including the interest, now.”
“Two hundred million…”
“I don’t have two hundred million. Can I pay it in installments?”
“Lilith, I need the full two hundred million. If you don’t have that, it’s better for you to leave.”
I held his arm. “Please, don’t take this mansion away from me. It’s the only memory I have left of my parents.”
He stared at me for a few seconds. “Okay, let’s talk in private.” He turned and walked toward the visitors’ room.
“Aeros, I’ll do anything you want as long as you don’t take our mansion.”
He stepped closer. “The world really goes in circles. Imagine that you’re the one begging me now.”
I bowed my head. “I’m sorry for playing with your feelings.”
“Don’t worry. I already forgot what you did to me.”
I looked at him. “Please allow me to pay my dad’s debt in installments.”
“Fine, I agree! But there’s a condition.”
“What’s the condition?”
He approached me, our lips almost an inch apart. I could smell his breath.
“First, you’ll be my maid for six years, and you won’t receive any salary.”
“A maid? I don’t know how to do housework.”
“If you don’t want to, then don’t.” He turned away to leave.
“Wait!”
He stopped and faced me. “So, do you agree?”
I nodded. “Yes, I agree. I guess I can learn.”
He smiled. “I have one more condition.”
“What is it? Just tell me, and I’ll do what you want.”
I shivered when he held my face and stared at my lips.
“Make me happy today,” he whidpered.
“Aeros…”
He leaned down and kissed my shoulder. “Do you agree?”
“Why do you have to ask for something like that from me?”
“Why? You’re used to sleeping with men anyway.”
I couldn’t hold back. I slapped him in anger. “I’m not what you think I am!”
He grabbed my face after I slapped him and glared at me. “Looks like you’ve made up your mind, so leave my mansion.”
“Aeros, please!”
“Take it or leave it.”
I took a deep breath. I didn’t like his condition, but I had no right to refuse.
“Fine. I agree with what you want.”
He smiled and then closed the bedroom door.
I swallowed as he slowly unbuttoned his polo while looking at me. There was no escape from him anymore.
“Aeros…”
He wasn’t wearing anything on top when he came closer to me. “You’re mine now,” he said before crushing his lips onto mine.
Tears fell as I responded to his kiss. His kiss no longer had love or respect. Even in his kisses, I could feel his anger toward me.
I will do everything for the sake of my parents’ memories.

I rushed to the restroom, locking myself in, praying the scent wouldn't leak. My hands shook as I dialed for help, but the door handle turned. Reign stood there. He didn't look at my face; he grabbed my wrist, pulling it to his nose, inhaling deeply. His dark, soulless eyes bore into mine. "You smell different," he whispered, his voice dangerously low. If he finds out what I really am, I’m dead.
Reign Montgomery promised himself he’d never get involved with an omega. Not romantically, not physically, not even by accident. He doesn’t trust them, doesn’t want them, and refuses to let anyone become a weakness.

Taste of Fate: The Vampire King's Human Mate
He reached for the back of my head and pulled me up just enough to reach my neck. When his fangs slid into me, the pain was instant, electric. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think. My hands found his shoulders, clawing for something to hold. My legs kicked. Tears streamed down my cheeks.
He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
