Introduction
After their wedding, everyone is waiting to see Gardenia ends up a miserable life, but instead, the new couple shows their sweet interactions to others over and over again.
Oscar, at 30, is not only alive, but he's prospered as a multi-national tycoon and Gardenia's darling.
Someone asks, "Mr Cepa, why are you so henpecked?" "Because she's a top level black belt in Taekwondo. I can't beat her."
Another asks their children, "Do you think your mom is good enough for your dad?" "You should ask if my dad, an old man with just a bit of dirty money, is he good enough for my mom, a beautiful, sexy, rich and talented international comic artist."
Chapter 1
Tonight is their wedding night.
Gardenia Soth stands calmly in front of the sofa in the large room, staring at the man in the wheelchair with dark eyes.
Across from her, is her new husband, Oscar Cepa.
There are a few coughs in the room that are particularly jarring and tugs at Gardenia's nerves.
When the cough is over, the man looks at the little woman in front of him and asks, "All the women in S City are afraid to marry me. Aren't you afraid?"
Oscar Cepa of S City, a legendary man in sick, has been in poor health since childhood, and is now the problem is getting so serious that he has to sit in a wheelchair and be served by people around him.
Moreover, a fortune-teller had predicted to him that he would not live to be age 30. And this year, he's twenty-nine.
And the Cepa family has an extremely traditional rule that once a woman marries into this family, she is not allowed to remarry, even if she has lost her husband. So that puts a lot of women off.
Gardenia chose to marry this kind of a man.
Of course, she had her reasons for choosing to marry.
Then she looks at him and answers, "What is there to be afraid of? You know, people all have to die, and even if I marry a healthy man, he might die in a car accident the day after the wedding. No one can be sure that he will see the sun tomorrow."
Because some accidents, always come so suddenly.
The man looks at her quietly. This way of thinking... It's kind of interesting.
The man sits in his wheelchair, his face looks pale. But even this pale, also can not hide his inky pupils of his eyes, like the night of the general quiet and mysterious.
His eyes gently sweeps over the woman's floral skirt, frozen in her face that some of the mellow obediently. She has a pair of black eyes, clear and transparent.
But in the darkest part of her eyes, there is a glimmer hidden.
"Gardenia Soth, 21 years old, 3 rd year in uni, majoring in photography, interested in comics, loves to eat, and biggest goal is to eat and drink for life. Am I right?"
The woman general nods, "your investigation is very detailed, very right." Although complimenting him, she said it insincerely.
The man then asks, "Do you know what exactly you would do after you married me?"
"Yes, fulfill the wedding ceremony to bring good luck for your health, and have to give you a baby as soon as possible." Do not know who invented this “marry to bring luck” custom, and do not know why, but the custom continues to today from generation to generation.
Gardenia's insides are mocking, but outwardly she has to play the role of a good wife.
The man speaks, "You know, there was a woman before you who was going to marry me. She went mad before she got married with me and was sent abroad."
"Yes, I know."
She don't just know it. She feels it too. Because Gardenia was kidnapped the day before she was to be married with Oscar.
Her captors said that if she do not marry Oscar Cepa, she would receive a sum of money that would allow her to live abroad for the rest of her life.
Such a big temptation, if she’s an average person is really hard to resist. Sadly, Gardenia's decision to marry Oscar is never about money. It is about something more important.
When the temptation failed, the captors turned to threats her, but violence is useless to her as well.
They underestimated Gardenia too much.
Oscar laughs. "Well, you're bolder than I thought."
Gardenia also laughs, "Maybe more than bolder, I am also not small temper, not easy to provoke."
His black eyes narrows a bit, shows the light in the interest and a few points.
The woman continues, "But I won't put my temper on you. On the contrary, you can rest assured that I will protect you."
I will protect you.
He never imagine he could hear someone saying that to him. This is getting more and more interesting.
Oscar suddenly coughs violently. His face turns from white to red, and the veins on his forehead and neck pops. Gardenia is briefly stunned by the sight.
In response, she quickly pours a glass of water to the man, gently pats him on the back.
As he takes her water, Oscar gives her a mixed look. The anxiety on her face is not fake.
It lasts two minutes before the cough stops. His face then returns to its sickly pallor.
"You see, I'm very ill and I'm going to die. You have a chance to change your mind now." 'he says.
Gardenia has already done a bit of information research about Oscar before she arrived here.
He is said to be ill-tempered and eccentric because of his illness, and is disliked by the Cepa family. Cepa family only gave him a villa to recuperate his illness, but did not give him any real property or business of the family.
When she sees him tonight, she realizes that the man seems sicker than she had thought. There is a brief grave look on her face, as if she are thinking.
The man thinks she is regretting it.
"I'll have the driver take you back." 'he says in a deep voice.
She gathers herself. "Who said I am going back?" Oscar raises his eyebrows slightly.
She goes on." You think it's not too late for me to regret now that the legal formalities have all been done?" Besides, she never made the decision and then to regret it.
As she finishes, the man across from her suddenly falls silent, and the room falls into a deathly silence.
She glances up at the man on the sofa opposite her. He is actually a nice looking man. Even the sickly whiteness of his face can not hide his handsome and hard features. Even though he is in a wheelchair, you can still tell he is tall and has long legs.
"Are you feeling better?" She asks.
"HMMM." His eyes closes, his chest still heaving a little fast from a violent cough.
Gardenia looks and frowns. "I can massage. Do you want me to do that for you?"
Gardenia dares to put her hands on his shoulder, and he don't say anything or refuse. She is relieved, according to her childhood what her grandmother taught the technique, she carefully kneads him up.
After half an hour, when she sees that the heaving of the man's chest has calmed and his breathing has become more symmetrical, she let it go, assuming that he is asleep.
She has been massaging him for half an hour and her hands are a bit numb now.
She is moving her fingers when she catch sight of the man who has opened his eyes and is staring at her.
"Tired?" 'he asks.
She clasps her hands and shakes her head. "Just fine."
The night is voluptuous, dim light, the small woman's shadowy outline gradually clear. She’s trying very hard pretending to be a good wife. If she's gonna fake it, then she should fake it thoroughly! He smiles.
So he says, "Since you are not tired, then please go and get me some water to take a bath."
Before coming here, Gardenia did consider that she might have to take care of Oscar by herself. But she didn't expect to have to bathe him.
But now she looks at his pale face and can not say no.
That's fine. He's got a fancy heart what she actually wants. She then goes to the bathroom, even if she didn't want to, but she will do it just because of she wants his heart...his real heart after he die.
After a while she shouts, "The water is ready. Come and take the bath!"
She comes out of the bathroom and sees a tall figure standing in front of the wardrobe. She is a bit stunned. "So... you can stand up by yourself?"
He says quietly, "It's my health problem, not my legs are broken."
... Of course she knew he don't have a broken leg. But he was so weak before, it was like he was sick and couldn't stand up. She didn't think it was fake.
"I only use the wheelchair to save energy," he adds.

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
