Introduction
Grace never expected her accidental text message to come with a quietly intense CEO, Luke - brilliant and gentle - to become the one person who made her feel seen.
What begins as awkward glances and late-night conversations grows into a slow-burn connection neither of them can ignore. But when work pulls Matt abroad and an ex reappears, Grace is forced to confront the fear she's spent years avoiding: that she isn't enough.
Luke knows exactly what he wants - her. And he'll cross countries, airports, and emotional minefields to prove it.
A story of quiet love, found family, soft mornings, messy feelings, and choosing each other every day, The Life We Built is a romance about building a life that feels like home.
Chapter 1
Luke Forrester had been buried in spreadsheets for so long that the numbers had begun to blur, the way they always did when he’d been working too hard for too many hours. He rubbed the back of his neck, leaned back in his chair, and let his eyes drift toward the skyline outside his office window. The city stretched out beneath him—his kingdom, his responsibility, his distraction. He was used to the rhythm of it, the constant pressure, the endless decisions. What he wasn’t used to was the sharp buzz of his phone lighting up with a message from an unknown number.
He almost ignored it but curiosity tugged at him, and he reached for the device.
UNKNOWN: I've made a decision and I've been sitting on it for a few days. Keep your phone away from prying eyes and tell me when you're ready to learn more…
He stared at the message, a slow grin pulling at his mouth. Bold. Unexpected. And absolutely not meant for him. Still, something about it sparked a flicker of interest he hadn’t felt in a long time.
He typed back before he could talk himself out of it.
To UNKNOWN: This is a fascinating proposition but I have no idea who you are!
UNKNOWN: Fuck!
Luke laughed under his breath.
To UNKNOWN: Don't stop there!! I'm intrigued now!!
UNKNOWN: I'm mortified!!
He softened, sensing genuine embarrassment behind the words.
To UNKNOWN: You can call me Luke. What's your name?
Another pause, longer this time, as though the sender was weighing whether to continue or disappear forever.
UNKNOWN: I'm Grace. Nice to meet you. I can't even begin to apologise for my message. I was aiming for someone else! Thank you for being so gracious and I'll leave you in peace now.
He frowned. He didn’t want her to leave him in peace.
To Grace: Nice to meet you too, Grace. You don't have to at all. I'd like to know what decision you've been sitting on. And I'd like to know whether the person you meant to send it to took it well!!
Her answer came with a kind of hesitant honesty that tugged at something in his chest.
Grace: It was to a man I'd been chatting to online and then went on a date with. I really thought we had something but he's ghosted me online and it seems I've transferred his number into my phone wrong. How pathetic am I?!
To Grace: You're not pathetic. Do you have his number anywhere else to check? Send the message to him and let me know what he says. I'm thoroughly invested now.
Grace: I'll keep you updated. Thank you.
He stared at the screen longer than he meant to, waiting for the typing bubbles that didn’t appear. Instead, another message flashed—this one from a very different source.
Tommy: What has put that shit eating grin on your face?!
Luke groaned.
To Tommy: Fuck off and do your work!
Tommy: I can't do my own work when your grin is lighting up the whole fucking floor! If you want me to work, shut your blinds or go home!
Luke rolled his eyes but couldn’t stop the smile tugging at his mouth. He hit the button that lowered the blinds around his office and shut the door.
Tommy: Well you're no fun! I was hoping you'd at least leave your door open so I could get the gossip from that set of legs you call a secretary!
To Tommy: She's not fit to be called a secretary. I'll be firing her soon! And DO SOME WORK!!
Tommy: At least I can date her when she's not working for the company!!
To Tommy: WORK!
The screen dimmed as the last message faded, leaving Luke alone with the quiet hum of his office and the lingering warmth of the unexpected conversation. He leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling.
What the hell had just happened?
A single, short exchange with a random woman, and he was smiling like an idiot. It wasn’t even a sexual message—well, not explicitly. But it had been intimate in a way he didn’t expect. Vulnerable. Human.
He scrubbed a hand over his face. He really needed to get laid. Or maybe he needed something else entirely—something he couldn’t name yet.
He wondered if Grace had gotten a reply from the man she meant to message. He wondered why he cared. He wondered why the thought of her disappearing from his screen made his chest tighten.
He’d message her later. Just to check. Just to see.
For now, he needed to figure out how to fire Tommy and his useless secretary before his entire life imploded.
He tried to return to his spreadsheets, but his mind kept drifting back to Grace. Her embarrassment. Her honesty. The way she’d trusted him, even for a moment, with something personal. He didn’t know her, but he wanted to. And that unsettled him more than he cared to admit.
Across the city, Grace Walters sat on the edge of her bed, her phone clutched in both hands, her heart pounding so hard she could feel it in her throat. She had never been bold. Never been reckless. Never been the kind of woman who sent messages like the one she’d almost sent to a stranger.
Except she had sent it. To Luke. Whoever Luke was.
She squeezed her eyes shut, mortified all over again. She’d ended up in a conversation with a random man about begging her date to bed her. She wanted to crawl under her duvet and never emerge.
At least she hadn’t told him everything she’d been thinking. At least she’d managed to keep some dignity. And he’d been kind.
She took a deep breath and forced herself to focus. She had sent the message to John now—where the message was supposed to go in the first place. The one that made her stomach twist with equal parts fear and hope.
She stared at the screen, waiting for the typing bubbles that didn’t appear.
What if he was upset that I didn’t sleep with him? I wanted to, but I was scared and it was only a first date. Should I be messaging online or his number? Should I just tell him what I want to do with him? Now I'm just spiralling! Pull yourself together, Gracie! He's just a human.
She flopped back onto her pillows, groaning into the fabric.
“Oh my days… what have I done?”
She’d messaged a stranger. She’d confessed her humiliation. She’d exposed a portion of her inexperience. And somehow, instead of making her feel foolish, Luke had made her feel… seen. Not mocked. Not dismissed. Just… understood.
She hoped John replied but she also hoped—just a little—that Luke messaged her again.
Her phone buzzed and she jolted upright, breath catching but it wasn’t John.
Not yet.
And she wasn’t sure whether she was relieved or disappointed.

I Found the Babies
"When..." He growled in my ear, "When we will be getting married, I will be your only king, do you get my point? Only one queen, no misters or mistresses. Just me, just you, and yeah, our babies."
I shivered.
Alyssa Reynolds found herself in a situation, while returning home from work, and she had three choices:
Simply walk away and forget that you ever heard the sound of wailing infants.
Call the police and inform them about the innocent wails.
Follow the sounds of the wails and take the matter in your hands, deciding what to do later.
Being a kindhearted soul and a sucker for babies, she found herself choosing the third option, finding the two little lives.
Two little lives that changed her whole life, her love life included. Her life now revolved around the babies as diapers, vomit and shit seemed to surround her.
Just when she thought that now it's just her and the babies, her whole world flipped over and she found herself living under the same roof as the egotistical, obnoxious and hot-as-hell Terence Powers, the business tycoon who was not going to let the woman fend off for herself and the babies alone.
The Hunter and The Hunted
Mihai’s hand slowly slides up my stomach, his fingers wrapping around my neck as he cuts of my ability to breathe, black spots clouding my vision, and yet, I am not afraid. I want more. I want everything that he can give to me.
He slowly inserts a third finger, the intense fullness that I feel teetering me over the edge of a cliff I cannot even see, and then he sucks and pulls at my clit. Sparks erupt throughout my body, the orgasm shaking my soul, and destroying what was left of my resistance.
She was the Daughter of a Hunter, he was one of the creatures that her family had sworn to destroy, what could possibly go wrong?
When their worlds collide, who will be left standing, will it be the hunter or the hunted, and which is which?
The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
Ella never imagined she would marry the man she had secretly loved for years in such a way.
When her brother Theo faced twenty-five years in prison for massive embezzlement, the ruthless business tycoon James Lancaster offered her a deal: marry him in exchange for her brother's freedom.
This wasn't a fairy tale proposal, but a carefully orchestrated revenge. Because in James's heart, Ella was the culprit who had killed his sister Cecilia. He wanted her to pay the price—to atone with a lifetime of suffering.
Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. What she doesn’t realize when her sister’s friend points out the brooding man sitting alone at the bar, is that man won’t be okay with just one night with her. No, Matteo Accardi, Don of one of the largest gangs in New York City doesn’t do one night stands. Not with her anyway.
A pack of their own
Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."
