Introduction
Until the night a stranger catches her wrist in a rain-soaked alley.
The vision that hits her is different. This time she sees her own death and the man holding the blade is the same one standing in front of her.
Kael Draven has been searching for her for three hundred years. He is the last of a bloodline the world believes extinct, and Elara is the only one who can complete the bond that has hunted him across lifetimes. He does not ask. He does not negotiate. He simply tells her the truth:
She can come with him willingly, or he will take her. Either way, the people who paid for her death centuries ago have finally found her again.
Now Elara is trapped between a man who might be her executioner and an ancient Order that will stop at nothing to finish what they started. Every vision grows clearer. Every night the bond pulls tighter. And the more she learns about Kael, the harder it becomes to decide which future she is willing to fight for
the one where she dies by his hand,
or the one where she lives only for him.
Chapter 1
Elara Voss had not touched another person with bare skin in six years, three months, and eleven days.
She knew the number the way some people knew their own birthday. It was the last clean date she still owned.
The gloves were black, thin, and always on. She owned seven pairs. Two were already wearing thin at the fingertips. She checked them every morning the same way other people checked the weather. A single hole was enough to ruin everything.
Blackmere in late autumn was a city that specialized in cold rain and older secrets. The kind of place where people learned not to ask questions if they wanted to keep their teeth. Elara fit in the way a shadow fit under a door. She rented a room above a closed bookstore on the east side, paid in cash, and used a name that wasn’t hers. The landlady thought she was a night-shift cleaner at the hospital. The hospital thought nothing at all, because she had never stepped inside it.
Her real work was quieter.
She read people without touching them. The tilt of a shoulder, the way someone’s eyes flicked when they lied, the small tells that most of the city was too loud to notice. Sometimes she sold that information to the right kind of quiet buyer. Never enough to be noticed. Never enough to stay in one place longer than a few months.
The ability itself she treated like a loaded gun she had no choice but to carry.
One touch of bare skin and the future opened like a wound. She saw the exact moment a person would die. Not the years leading up to it. Not the reasons. Just the final frame: the blood, the fall, the last expression. Some deaths were quiet. Most were not. She had learned early that knowing the ending of a stranger’s story did not make her safer. It only made her responsible for a truth no one had asked her to carry.
The last time she had slipped, six years ago, a man in a winter coat had grabbed her wrist on a crowded train platform. The vision hit before she could pull away. She saw him six months later, on his knees in a parking garage, a bullet opening the back of his head. She had staggered. People had stared. The man had asked if she was all right. She had lied, pulled free, and run.
Three days later she left the city she had been living in and never used that name again.
Since then the rules had been simple.
Gloves. Distance. Movement.
Tonight the rain was heavier than usual. It came sideways, driven by a wind that smelled of the river and something older. Elara finished the small job she had taken (a quiet confirmation that a certain warehouse guard was skimming), collected the envelope of cash, and started the long walk back toward the east side. She kept to the narrower streets. Fewer cameras. Fewer people.
The old cathedral rose on her left, black against the wet sky. The alley behind it was a shortcut she had used before. Dark, quiet, and usually empty after midnight.
She paused at the mouth of it, checked the gloves one more time, and stepped in.
The rain was louder here, trapped between high walls. Her boots found the shallow river running down the center of the cobblestones. She kept her hands in her pockets and her head down.
She did not see the man until he was already standing in her path.

The Rejected Luna’s Rise
Luna Ariana Volkstane slid the formal rejection request across the table. "Let's end this bond. It's better for you, me, and your first love."
He just smirked. "You want me to reject you? You think you can break our bond that easily?"
So she did. Ariana cut ties with him completely, poured herself into her career, and rose to global fame as a legendary healer, her knowledge of rare herbs, wolf anatomy, and ancient magic sought after across continents.
The powerful suitors lined up. The Alpha of an overseas empire whispered, "Ariana, hurry up and perform the severing ritual. I can't wait to claim you." A powerful pack leader vowed, "I'll be there with you the day you break the bond." A legendary wolf attorney promised, "I'll handle your rejection case with the pack council myself."
Ariana just rubbed her temples. It's not that she didn't want the split, she wanted it more than anything, it's just that the Alpha she was mated to refused to let go.
Finally, she announced, "Whoever can officially get me rejected, I'll put you at the head table of my bond-breaking celebration."
Not long after, Alpha Damian was served the official rejection request right in the middle of an emergency pack council meeting. That same afternoon, he was attacked by rogues at the gates of his own territory.
When Ariana showed up at the pack infirmary with healing herbs, she repeated calmly, "Let's sever the mate bond. It's better for you, me, and everyone else."
But the cold, untouchable Alpha pulled her into his arms, his eyes blood-red with fury. "You want me to reject you? Over my dead body."

Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—
like a secret never to be spoken.
But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.

Locked in her frozen tower, Bella dreamed of warmth, of touch, of freedom and of love. Cursed with the power of ice and snow, she’s spent her life alone. A secret they tried to protect the world from. Her only escape comes in the form of the books she reads. Stories of heat, desire, and the kind of love that could melt even her frostbitten heart.
Damien is the Beast. A dragon King with a temper forged in flame and a soul hollowed by duty. The world fears him. The people call him a monster. But beneath the scales and the rage lies a man who has never been touched by love.
When frost meets fire, the world shatters. She was never meant to leave her tower. He was never meant to find her. But destiny doesn’t bow to kings or care for cages and now the question burns through them both: Can Bella have her Beast? Or will the girl of snow melt in the heat of his desire?
.
"I’m keeping her."
"What?"
Before I can react, he scoops her up. Her small body fits easily in the cradle of his talons. For a split second, she looks startled, but not afraid. Her hand rests against one scaled finger, and she stares up at him with that same curious wonder, as though she’s already forgotten she was ever meant to fear me.
"Put her down," I try to command, panic threading through my thoughts. "You’ll hurt her."
"She’s ours," the beast insists, possessive and fierce. "Our snowflake."

It turns out, the fae stole my little brother. In his place? A pixie with boundary issues and a talent for home repairs.
I’ve spent my life taking care of everyone else. So when my baby brother is taken, I don’t hesitate. I walk straight into a faerie mansion and make a bargain with its infuriatingly charming master.
Kie is everything you’d expect from a dangerous fae, beautiful, political, and entirely too amused by me. Power wrapped in a smirk. Sensual, mischievous, and far too aware of the effect he has on people. He agrees to help me find my brother.
For a price.
Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.
Iron is how I keep people out.
Glamour is how he draws them in.
And apparently, they just don’t mix.
