Introduction

Fiona Harper devoted her entire youth to loving Carlos Morton, but Carlos hated her, loathing her heartlessness for refusing to donate a deceased person's heart.
He said, "Since you refuse to let Debbie Harper regain her health, everything I want to give her, you shall bear!"
Until the bloody truth was laid bare before his eyes, he realized that the love he intended to give her could never return to what it once was...

Chapter 1

Today was Carlos Morton and Debbie Harper's grand wedding. The whole Skyvale was basically taken over by Carlos-every electronic billboard played clips of their ten-year love story, from the day they met to finally tying the knot. It was like a real-life fairy tale, sweet enough to give people cavities.

The vibe was so contagious that tons of singles swarmed the venue, hoping to catch a glimpse. Reporters from every news outlet were all over it, covering every second like a royal event.

Everyone, whether they knew the couple or not, was saying the same thing: "Debbie is seriously lucky! She's gonna be the happiest woman in this city-the ultimate winner in life!"

But what no one in Skyvale knew was, this whole wedding? A total sham.

Yeah, Carlos was the groom alright... but the bride? Not Debbie. It was her twin sister, Fiona Harper.

As fireworks exploded in the sky, spelling out "Debbie, I love you forever and always." The exhausting ceremony finally reached its final stretch. The bride, worn out and barely holding on, was carefully helped by the groom back into the bridal suite to rest.

The moment they stepped inside, Fiona yanked off the wedding gown, her voice drained. "I've done my part pretending to be Debbie. Can I leave now?"

"Leave? We haven't done the ‘husband and wife' part yet. Where d'you think you're going?" Carlos said coldly, and shoved her onto the bed, ripping her dress apart without a second thought.

"Carlos, stop! I'm not Debbie-you can't do this to me!"

Fiona struggled, panic written all over her face, but she was no match for his strength.

Carlos sneered, voice low and bitter. "Fiona, who the hell do you think you are to say no? Don't forget, it was your fault Debbie missed her heart transplant. Because of you, she couldn't have her own wedding, and even the smallest strain could kill her. But I still want to share everything with her-even the intimacy-and since she can't handle that, it's your job to take it."

"I..." Fiona's lips trembled as she swallowed down words she desperately wanted to say, the truth choking in her throat.

Tears welled up in her eyes, her chest tight with rage, grief, and helplessness. She felt like she couldn't breathe.

Seeing her like that only fueled Carlos's fury. Without a hint of mercy, he flipped her over and forced himself on her.

"Ah-!" Fiona gasped, pain ripping through her, tears slipping from the corners of her eyes.

But Carlos didn't care. In fact, the more she suffered, the more vicious he became, like it gave him some twisted sense of revenge.

The pain became unbearable. Fiona bit down on the corner of the blanket just to stop herself from crying out, sweat pouring down her forehead.

Suddenly, he yanked her by the hair, forcing her to look straight at him.

Carlos looked monstrous, like something crawled straight out of hell. He was on top of her, biting into her, nearly drinking her alive.

"Fiona, you really think I'd just let you off easy?"

"Fiona, scream-I dare you! Scream like a whore!"

"Fiona, why don't you just freaking die? You're the one who should've died instead!"

Her head rang, the sounds around her fading out. All that remained echoing in her mind were those cruel words:

‘Fiona, why don't you just die?'

Like a curse she couldn't lift, couldn't shake, couldn't escape.
