Two Alphas, One Little Rogue
M. Ember · Ongoing · 64.0k Words
Introduction
To be fair, how was I supposed to know the arrogant bastard in that carriage was the heir to the North?
I'm Serena Hale. By day, I'm a perfectly respectable general's daughter. By night, I'm Little Rogue—the kingdom's most wanted thief, stealing from rich Alphas to feed starving wolves.
Then I stole a priceless bracelet from Adrian Vale.
He swore he'd hunt me down.
And he did.
What I didn't expect was for a mysterious stranger named Lan to come to my rescue. Or for Lan to turn out to be Lucian, the Alpha King himself.
Now the most powerful Alpha in the kingdom wants to protect me, while the ruthless Northern heir refuses to let me go.
Two dangerous men. Two impossible choices.
They can fight over me all they want.
But there's one thing neither of them understands.
I was never meant to belong to anyone.
Chapter 1
The Silver Crown aristocracy's Alphas shared a common affliction: their brains were about as useful as the fangs they took such pride in—good for nothing but posturing.
"You cheated, you gutter-born bastard!"
Bang. The young noble across from me slammed his palms onto the table and surged to his feet. The gambling table shuddered violently, sending several gold coins rolling to the toe of my boot.
A wave of cloying cologne mixed with the acrid scent of an enraged Alpha crashed over me.
I lounged back in my chair, boots propped on the table's edge, hat brim pulled low enough to hide the upper half of my face.
"Show some respect, Master Baird. 'A bet's a bet'—that's the Moon Goddess's own rule. Your Full House was impressive, I'll grant you. Pity my hole cards just happened to be a Royal Flush."
I tapped the two cards I'd just turned face-up on the felt.
Deafening laughter erupted through the tavern.
This was the Broken Tooth Tavern, on the capital's fringe—a melting pot of every stripe of society. But young lords like Baird, sneaking out of the Upper City for thrills, clearly hadn't learned to tuck tail on someone else's territory.
"I don't believe it!" Baird seethed, half-climbing the table to grab my collar.
His pupils dilated uncontrollably with rage, bleeding into the eerie green of the wolf—half-shifting was imminent.
"Whoa there, young master, easy does it!"
A slight figure slipped through the crowd like an eel, planting himself between us.
Miles. He soothed the berserk noble with exaggerated cheer while his hands swept the entire pile of gold coins into a worn canvas sack with practiced speed.
"Little Rogue's famous for its luck, you know. If you can't afford to lose, go play house at an Upper City tea party. Why come slumming it with us beggars?"
Miles grinned, revealing a chipped front tooth.
As a bottom-rung Omega who could never shift, Miles carried not a whiff of pheromones—but that didn't stop him from owning the fastest mouth and the fastest hands in the capital.
"You're dead!" Baird snapped completely, a low growl rumbling in his throat.
I sighed, toe tapping the table's underside. My chair slid back half a meter, smooth as silk.
The instant Baird lunged, I snatched the mug of cheap ale and threw it square in his face.
"Run!"
Miles bolted for the back door like a rabbit. I followed close behind, vaulting the window frame amid curses from bouncers and the noble brat alike, dropping into the capital's damp, cold night.
We sprinted through three winding alleys before stopping, certain the revolting cologne scent had faded.
"Clean haul—fifty gold crowns!" Miles leaned against a dripping brick wall, gulping air. "Rogue, the way you threw that ale in that stupid wolf's face—priceless!"
I chuckled softly, saying nothing.
The night wind cut through the alley. I instinctively pulled my rough linen jacket tighter.
The garment did double duty: it hid my feminine curves, and it reeked of the slums' cheap tobacco and the "Bone-corroding grass" juice I smeared on before every outing.
A pungent, coarse herb. Sharp and gritty, it perfectly masked my natural scent—moonlight and floral fragrance. Even at that distance, that idiot Baird hadn't caught a hint. He only smelled a penniless, sweaty gutter rat sitting across from him.
No one knew the notorious street hustler "Little Rogue," the headache of every capital noble, was actually the daughter of General Hale—Silver Crown's most revered commander.
If my stubborn, conservative foster father knew his precious daughter Serena Hale—who should've been practicing embroidery and tea ceremony at the estate—had just swindled a hereditary earl's son in an underground casino, he'd probably drop dead of apoplexy on the spot.
But I had no choice.
"Let's go." I took the heavy sack from Miles, weighing it in my hand. "Got real business tonight."
We cut through the capital's bustling central square, avoiding patrol guards, heading downward into the "Lower City."
Here, the air held no roast meat or noblewomen's perfume—only damp mold, festering wounds, and the thick, insoluble despair of low-ranking wolves and orphans.
As the border war escalated, the three territories' Alphas drove countless low-ranking wolves from their homes fighting for land and resources. Every day, newly widowed Omegas and skeletal pups flooded the capital. And the noble council? They simply bolted the Upper City's iron gates and left them to rot.
"Big brother Rogue!"
The moment we entered the refugee camp—shanties of scrap wood and leaky oilcloth—several children in threadbare rags swarmed us.
Tiny. Too young to control their shifts; a couple still had mud-caked wolf ears poking through their hair.
I crouched, ruffling one child's head through my gloves.
I dared not remove them. My skin was too pale, too clean—nothing like a street rat's.
"Here, Aunt Elara." I pressed the sack into the one-armed elderly Omega's hands. "Fifty gold. Buy winter herbs on the black market, get some real meat. Winter's coming. The kids can't survive on watery gruel alone."
Aunt Elara clutched the sack with her remaining hand, cloudy eyes brimming.
"May the Moon Goddess bless you, Little Rogue. Without this, our orphans wouldn't see the first snow."
"In this gods-forsaken capital, only cold hard cash can protect you, Auntie." I twisted a self-mocking smile.
I stood, yanking my battered newsboy cap lower, double-checking nothing betrayed my sex.
Listening to the cheers rising behind me, I closed my eyes and drew a deep breath.
I was supposed to be a general's daughter lounging on velvet cushions, waiting for some powerful Alpha to claim me.
But I was also Little Rogue.
As long as those bloodsucking nobles kept squeezing the innocent, my game would never end.
"Come on, Miles." I turned, striding toward the slum's exit, superior hearing catching the distant changof-guard horns.
"This money lasts them two weeks, tops. We need to find the next mark."
Miles fell in step, rubbing his hands, voice low: "Hey, heard a Northvale caravan's entering the capital in a few days. Word is they're hauling a whole train of priceless treasures. That's a whale."
My stride faltered. Pupils narrowing beneath my brim.
"Oh?" I licked my lips, a dangerous smile curling my mouth. "Sounds like it'll pay a hell of a lot better than Master Baird."

He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.

Letters to a Dark Prince
Thrown into Isteros Academy—a world of old money, blood money, and cruel social games—she's an outsider by birth and an afterthought by design. Her sister Solyn is the school's untouchable queen and Mara is her favorite target.
Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.
And he was never far behind.
Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
Let Them Kneel
Cast out by her pack. Forgotten by the Lycans.
She lived among humans—quiet, invisible, tucked away in a town no one looked at twice.
But when her first heat comes without warning, everything changes.
Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—
summoning a big, bad Alpha who knows exactly how to quench her fire.
When he claims her, it’s ecstasy and ruin.
For the first time, she believes she’s been accepted.
Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—
like a secret never to be spoken.
But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. What she doesn’t realize when her sister’s friend points out the brooding man sitting alone at the bar, is that man won’t be okay with just one night with her. No, Matteo Accardi, Don of one of the largest gangs in New York City doesn’t do one night stands. Not with her anyway.
