Chapter 1
Heated Argument!
“Dad, this ain't funny no more! I'm twenty-one soon to be twenty-two years old, you can't keep controlling me like a freaking teenager,” yelled Jane, walking out of her dad's office. Jane's dad had invited her to his office to talk to her about the absurdity of her extravagance. She'd become so daring, the nerve to walk out on her dad.
“Come back here young lady, you don't walk out on me whilst I'm still talking," Edmund Peterson Sputtered with authority, rising from his seat. Jane nervously walks back towards her dad. Edmund is very strict but loves his daughter dearly. He walks towards her and tries to talk some sense into her.
“I have enemies everywhere, they can hurt you to get at me, now I'm not saying you can't have fun, but I need you to slow down a little," Edmund cautions her, holding her hand and looking straight into her eyes, to ensure his message sinks deep. Jane nods her head in guilt.
''I made a promise to your mom on her dying bed, to protect you, and that's what I've done and will keep doing until I die. You are very precious to me, so you must be meticulous, you hear?" Utters Edmund looking straight into her eyes.
“Yeah dad, sorry for walking out on you, that ain't gonna happen no more,” Jane receptively replies, looking at her dad with sympathetic eyes.
“That's alright, and you have to stop this ghetto talk, Where did you even learn that from?” Edmund asks with a wry smile. Jane promises to stop talking ghetto,
“I won't speak it no more, sorry anymore.” They both smile and hug each other.
Jane walks out of her dad's office. Her soft pleasant fragrance, designer dress, shoe and purse, and curly hair attract the attention of Edmund's employees, who can't help but tattle. While the female employees talk about her expensive attire and gait, the male employees talk about her irresistible beauty.
Jane walks out, right into her black Mercedes-AMG; which her dad had offered her when she celebrated her twenty-first birthday. Edmund is the head of a multimillion enterprise and getting her only daughter the latest cars and whatever she desires is not a problem for him.
Jane was born and raised in New shire, a city in South Carolina. She loves her city because of her childhood friends. The community has tried to keep the town green, by creating many parks, growing flowers, and keeping the forest at the city border neat. Tragically, no city is perfect; the crime wave in this small town is unexpectedly high.
This can be linked to a large number of Mafia groups in the city. Jane suspects her dad's involvement in some sort of Mafia, due to the suspicious phone calls she's heard her dad make. But can't dare ask Edmund about it.
Jane arrives home and is welcomed by Anna, (her nanny and head of their domestic staff). She takes her bag, jacket, and the shoes she just removed and accompanies her to her room.
“You're welcome back, dear, how did it go with your dad?” Anna asks Jane with so much concern. Anna is the oldest among Edmund's three domestic staff.
“Well, still the usual talk about me slowing down on my extravagance,” Jane replies, putting on an unwary look.
''I think your father is right on this one, dear. Yesterday you came back drunk, what if one of these bad people out here hurts you?''
Anna has always been that mother figure in Jane's life since her mother died.
“Thanks, Anna, I think I've had enough scolding for today, I'm starving, what's there to eat,” Jane asks heading for the kitchen, barefoot, with just her immaculate white tank top on and the trouser she wore to her dad's office.
“Jane dear, won't you take off the trouser?” Anna asks, rushing behind her with her slippers. As they get downstairs they're both surprised to meet Edmund, arranging files rushing.
“Dad, what are you doing here, it's only 11:30 am, did you forget something?” Jane asks with a surprised look.
“Yes darling, I forgot some vital documents, I need them for a meeting this evening with some investors.”
Edmund replies trying to put these files together. She walks towards her dad and asks if he requires her help with anything, but Edmund asks her not to bother herself, as he'd had all the files sorted out.
“But there's one thing you can help me with,” Edmund utters, looking at her with a serious, but smiley face.
“What's that dad?” Jane asks anxiously.
“Be a good girl," Edmund responds, sliding his thumb lightly on her cheeks. Jane smiles and reminds her dad of the promises she made earlier at the office.
Edmund picks up the file he'd come to collect and his car keys to leave. Gives
Jane a peck on her forehead and asks Anna to keep an eye on her. But as he walks out, Jane calls him, asking if he has a minute, she wants to ask for permission to attend the carnival in Rio de Janeiro Brazil with her friends.
This trip is essential to Jane, and she can't afford to miss it, she always gets the most fun on such trips.
''Can't this wait, dear? As you can see, I'm running late, and I still have a lot to put together before this meeting starts. Please let's talk when I get back ok?'' Edmund replies, showing eagerness to leave.
“But dad," Jane tries to explain but is curtailed by her dad,
“Jane please, I'm late," Jane puts on a displeased face, but Edmund just can't deal with that now.
He turns towards Anna, who'd been following their chats, and asks her not to wait up for him; ''I'll be home late, please take care of the house, lock up perfectly before going to bed.'' He cautions her, rushing towards his car.
Jane angrily sits on a chair in the dining, pondering how she'll make it to the carnival with her friends.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Invisible To Her Bully
Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
