Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Stolen Crown
Stolen Crown.
Mila POV
“I welcome everyone of you to this great occasion…” It is an announcement from none other than Elder Vexhood.
“Uhhhhh!” A deafening scream of joy from the crowd followed through.
Alpha Vexhood 's voice alerted me. My chest tightened. Though I was late to the occasion, I paced my footsteps. I scurried my legs through the midst of pack members standing at the palace ground.
I need to find my way to the front.
“Excuse me … sorry … excuse me… ” The word apologetically escaped from my lips.
I pushed forward. Stepping on more toes than I could count.
“Watch it!” Someone hissed. Anger painted on his face.
“Who stepped on me?” another wolf snapped, but I was already gone, my focus locked on the front and how I would get there.
Happiness painted on their faces like never before.
Mine too wasn't left out. It was a D-Day for every one in the pack. Especially for me.
A day that we would have a new king. Alpha Jax. I looked around, and Alpha Jax wasn't in his seat.
I rolled my eyes, “not this time Jax.”
Maybe he had visited the toilet. He would have spiked his stomach with all the food and wine in the world.
At last I got to the front. My regalia swished around my legs, as I cut my breath, pride, swelling inside of me. I even wave to a friend far off.
Alpha Vexhood eyes landed on mine.
Alpha Vexhood paused a bit, immediately he spotted me. He lowered his mic and spoke into the ears of a few elders.
“Then the next agenda is the announcement of our Luna to our alpha king Jax.”
The announcement had not finished before. I started hearing the chorusing of my name from every pack members,
Mila! Mila! Mila!
My heart leaped. I raised my hand as if I owned the world.
I raised my hands like the real alpha or main celebrant of the day to keep their voice down, it would be too forward to just jump to the platform to meet the elders , have their blessings and sit on the throne.
Umpteenth time I had looked around for Jax. Where had he been? Was he easing himself ? I trust him for one thing he doesn't whore around.
Alpha Vexhood clears his throat, packs members, I am happy to announce that our new Luna is…”
The chanting from the crowd increased. Louder than the first.
“Mila! Mila!! Mila!!!”
My face beamed with joy that I couldn't hold.
… Is Rosa Blackthorn…”
Silence. Deep silence. So deep that one could use a knife to cut.
Like I had been slapped.
“WHAT?” The word ripped out of my throat.
My breath ceased. My eyeballs bulged. Like the earth should open up and swallow me.
“Fetch Rosa Blackthorn out now, we don't have all day!” Alpha Vexhood ordered his voice hard like granite.
No remorse. No compassion. Nothing.
“No, this is not possible.”
Then I saw her, cruising out of the crowd. Cat walking like someone who has just won the Miss stormfang pack beauty pageant.
Everywhere was quiet like a graveyard. Shock painted on the face of everyone. My mouth couldn't close. Never as this shameful thing occurred in the history of our pack.
A devilish smile painted on the face of Rosa as she swung sideways heading to the podium. It was so obvious that she was enjoying this.
She was about to pass my front. When I drag her closer,
I lowered my voice, “What the fuck is this little sister… What the fuck are you doing, Rosa?”
My voice was lower and more tense than before.“Tell me if this is a joke, prank or what…”
She let out a wicked smile, “ Relax dumb sister. Your train had left the station. It's a pity, you missed it.”
She was about to leave, when I dragged closer again.
“But wait a minute, you told me you were…
She didn't allow me to finish, before she cut-in with a mocking laughter. “That I was sick and I wouldn't bother to show up. Most importantly since I have not yet been bound to my fated mate.”
Like she knew what I wanted to say.
“Yes, that is still part of the plan, big sister, or don't I look sick? I just want to take my crown , go back home and cover myself up with bedsheets.”
Like I was dreaming. My eyes wide opened in shock.
“Please move out of my way, let me go and claim my crown that I worked so hard for…”
My breath seized. Eyes widened apart.
“I told you are not smart, you may be older than me, but I will always win…”
I quickly cut-in, “So is this some kind of competition or what? So, Jax is … ?”
Rosa quickly added, “ Jax is a prize. A very big prize to be won, you couldn't read in between lines that everything you ever wanted. I always want them too and funny enough I will always find a way.”
She paused a bit, “to have them too…”
Alpha vexhood, voice suddenly cut through, we are waiting for you, Rosa … don't delay us longer.”
I raked my hand through my hair. God! This can't be.
I watched my own step- sister as she walked to the podium for the elders' blessings.
The eyes of the pack members still fixated on us. Demanding answers.
Then I muster courage.
No, you can't just force me to come here and disgrace me in the public?
I demand an answer.
‘Where is Alpha Jax?’
I searched around and the idiot had not shown up.
Is he part of this plot? Was that the reason he wasn't seated? I have never heard in my life that a king would be found wanting on his day of inauguration to the throne.
“Alpha Vexhood, your highness,” I tried to put a little respect on what was left to his name to fulfill all righteousness “… you are saying nothing? Don't tell me you are part of this.”
“Quiet, you disgusting little pigs!” That was a command from Alpha Thomas, one of the elders at the podium.
“You think we don't know your little dirty secret,”
“Which one?”
“one you did last night?”
I caved in. Shocked. I had to remind myself a minute if I had done something wrong that would warrant this monumental disgrace.
Until something strange came into my mind.
“Oh!” I laughed out loud. This click.
I turned to the elders, increasing my voice.
“I think it now occurs to me that you guys truly want to wash your dirty linen outside. With the madness you guys orchestrated, just yesterday.”
The eyes of the pack members beamed. Their ears perked up.
I wanted to drift to the mc section to get the mic but I know, none of them would want to hand over the mic to me to
shield their embarrassment which was about to hit them.
I turned towards the crowd. My breath tensed. My voice rises with each word.
“I want to use this medium to expose…"

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.

I don’t care.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
