An Accidental Night With My Rival
mainvillainofmystory · Ongoing · 91.0k Words
Introduction
Asher is the golden boy of college hockey, the coach's perfect son, raised in the spotlight and expected to win both games and public approval. He's secretly sharp-tongued and uses his fists to defend himself.
Roman is his complete opposite: the calm defenseman with a mother obsessed with politics. He has zero patience for politics or cameras.
On the ice, they’re enemies. Their rivalry is legendary. Dirty hits, heated arguments, and games that always end with both of them in the penalty box.
But when an accidental kiss happens, the tension between them finally snaps. One reckless moment in an empty locker room turns years of rivalry into something far more dangerous.
Asher wants to agree that it was a mistake, but Roman doesn't want that. Then their parents announce they’re getting married. Suddenly, Asher and Roman aren’t just rivals; they’re about to become stepbrothers.
Forced into the same spaces outside the rink, their carefully buried attraction refuses to stay hidden. As competition, family pressure, and proximity collide, the two hockey stars must decide whether their rivalry is worth protecting… Or if the truth between them is worth risking everything.
Because some lines aren’t meant to be crossed.
And some are impossible not to.
Chapter 1
Asher's POV
I felt him slam against me hard, sending me right against the boards but I refused to fall as we skated around each other. I had the puck in my hockey stick and there was no fucking way I would let him take it from me.
“And the Ice Princes of War are at it again! Who will score the goal this time?” The commentators were obviously having fun with this match but they had no idea that this wasn't for show.
It never was.
Roman slammed against me again, but I was caught off guard, so I fell right on the ice, scraping my arm in the process. The referee blew the whistle but I was on my feet in an instant, throwing a punch at Roman before he could duck.
Everyone gasped in the audience but I didn't regret my actions at all. Not even when I saw his lips bleeding. Rather, it made me feel even better than before.
“You asshole.” He growled as he tried to attack me too, but was held back by his members, while I smirked in victory.
The referee suddenly showed me a red card and my heart sank when I realized that I wouldn't be playing with my team for the rest of the game. Roman shot me a smirk when the referee simply showed him a green card, signifying that he was temporarily off the rink for two minutes.
He attacked me first yet all he got was a warning. I fought back and got evicted. Anyone could smell the bias from a mile away.
“Fuck you all!” I yelled, raising my middle fingers to the air as I walked out of the stadium. I didn't care to know what anyone else was saying, I was too pissed off to think straight at that moment.
I made my way to the locker room and threw my shirt off, gulping water that ran down my chest because of how messy I was drinking from the bottle.
“Fucking idiots,” I mumbled to myself, grabbing my towel as I turned to head to the bathroom to shower.
“You cuss a lot for a boy whose parents are religious.”
I turned around immediately, standing face to face with the asshole that I hated with everything in me.
“What I do with my lips is none of your fucking business.” I spat, crossing my arms over my chest. “Why are you here? Didn't you get a green card? Or did you miss me too much that you came looking for me all on your own?” I asked, my lips curving into a smirk and he scoffed, taking a step closer to me.
“Maybe?”
“Asshole.” I spat, turning to walk away but he grabbed my arm— the very one that was injured— stopping me from leaving. In a fit of rage, I swung at him, aiming to punch his stupid face again but he caught my hand just in time.
I froze as his grip over my hand tightened and he squeezed so hard that I had to wince in pain as I tried to get out of his grip.
“Fucking let go!” I yelled, but he smirked instead. He was enjoying this.
“Not until you say sorry.” He muttered and I scoffed in disbelief.
“You're dumb if you think I'm actually going to say—” My words hung in my throat when he squeezed my hand tighter and I cried out in pain. “Ahh- fine fine, let go!!”
“Say it.” He whispered and I gritted my teeth, staring at him with pure hatred and irritation as I sucked in a sharp breath.
“I'm sorry!” I finally said, a wave of embarrassment washing over me and his smirk widened as he let me go.
I shook my hand gently, glaring at him and the urge to get back at him filled me immediately.
“See? It wasn't that hard. Learning to admit that you're wrong will actually take you places.” He said, taking off his shirt and I found myself staring longer than usual. “Take a picture if you want. Everyone's obsessed so I'm not surprised.”
“You're a fucking narcissist. You're not as perfect as I am.” I growled, turning away as I made my way to the bathroom.
Seconds later, he was beside me too, acting like I absolutely didn't exist while I kept gawking at him like I hadn't seen a naked man before. Seeing my fellow members’ bare bodies wasn't something new; we took baths together and teased one another about the size of our dicks.
But him… There was always something about Roman. And it irked me so bad.
“I gotta say, you moan pretty good.” I heard him say and I froze. “I wouldn't be surprised if you bottomed.”
Did he just call me a bottom?
“The fuck did you just say?” I asked with a glare and he turned to me fully, causing my eyes to fall below his waist again. I immediately looked away, fixing my attention on his cocky face and he shrugged with a nonchalant expression.
“Earlier. You went all “ahh~” like a pretty moaner. Anyone would know that you're definitely bottom material—”
“First of all, fuck you, Roman. I'm not gay. I'm not a fag like you or your teammates. Second, I fuck like a real man. The fuck do you mean by I'm a bottom material? Are you insane, Roman?” I asked in anger, expecting him to be mad as well but he simply chuckled.
“No need to get all worked up if you're not gay. Unless you are and you're in denial.” He muttered and I almost lost my mind as I charged at him, wanting to punch that smirk off his face so bad.
I swung at his face and missed his jaw only by an inch but then, he grabbed my arms and pulled me closer, making our dicks rub against each other at close proximity.
I literally froze. Everything in me stiffened and I couldn't bring myself to move.
I hated him so much. Why was he so perfect?
“You're not gay, right?” He asked, his eyes falling to my lips. “Let's test that out.”
One minute, I was punching him. Next, his lips were on mine.
I just got kissed by a man.

Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."
