Chapter 1
Natasha,
I sat on the floor in my room, looking out of the wide-open window at the large ball of light in the sky. It was another stormy night and the sky was filled with heavy clouds.
The wind shook the windows and the light of the flashing thunderbolts illuminated my room.
It was a full moon and I listened to the distant howls die down. I was supposed to have transitioned with the rest of the Werewolves in the pack, but I was not just any Werewolf. I was powerful and I could control whenever I wanted to turn.
I looked sideways as the door of my room flung open and I saw my sister Alyssa standing in the doorway and staring at me disdainfully. She was holding a bowl and a candle in hand. She walked into the room and dropped the both of them on a table.
"It's.... it's my birthday today," I croaked out in fear and my father seemed to get even more enraged.
I heard Alyssa's tiny laughter echo throughout the room and I glanced at her, "Oh look, it's the princess's birthday. We should all FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP HER!" Her voice started out as mocking and tiny before becoming fierce and enraged.
"I told you to stay the Fuck away from this table!" He yelled at me.
"My Mate is dead because of you and I'll never love you. I'll always hate you." He bellowed and every word felt like a hit on my chest.
He has shown nothing but hate since the day I was born because my mom died when giving birth to me.
"But I didn't kill my mom!" I cried and I knew I would regret that.
"How dare you talk back at me!" He shouted and hit me in the face with his fist. I cried as I fell to the ground on my butt and my hand scratched the floor.
I wiped the blood off my lips and looked up.
"You're a bastard!" He yelled and before I could react, he grabbed his coffee mug and flung it at me.
I screamed as the ceramic broke against my skin and the boiling hot coffee splashed on my face. I cried as I felt my face burn and turn red.
My father stepped away from me and walked back to the dining table.
"Marissa!" He shouted out the name of a maid.
"Sir," Marissa ran into the room and she stopped, looking at me on the floor.
"Take her away and clean her up, then come back and clean up this mess," My father instructed. Marissa quickly walked towards me and pulled me up to my feet.
I could feel my face burning as she dragged me out of the room carelessly.
"You bitch! You just added to my work!" She whined, dragging me roughly. Not even my father's servant regarded me because of how much he hated me.
I couldn't keep my promise to myself as I felt my tears trickle down my left cheek. I felt weak as I hadn't eaten anything and just survived my father's abuse.
"Don't slow me down you slut!" Marissa yelled as I began to walk weakly and she pushed me roughly. I immediately lost balance and I became dizzy as I fell to the ground and lost consciousness again.

Human Capture (Up North #2)
Raised in a starving settlement choked by a vast, unforgiving forest, Lara learned early that survival has a price. To keep her family alive, she became a master hunter—agile, silent, and deadly with an array of mismatched blades. But the forest has eyes, and one evening, the shadows dragged her away.
Nine months later, Lara breaks free from a concrete dungeon, only to find herself stranded in the lawless, rogue-infested wilds of Avers Land alongside four captured werewolf girls. Seeking refuge in the neighboring territory of Illyen, she expects to find a way back to her human life. Instead, she is brought face-to-face with Alpha Rowan, the terrifying, ruthless ruler of the frozen North.
One look into Lara’s eyes, and the Alpha’s world shatters. His eyes turn an absolute shade of black. The bond is undeniable. She is his fated mate.
But a human cannot survive the brutal political landscape of the North, and Rowan openly rejects the bond, dragging her onto a warship bound for a kingdom that views her as a fragile liability. Trapped between a mate who refuses to love her and a court of monsters waiting for her to break, Lara must use every hunter's instinct she possesses. Because in the realm of wolves, a human must either grow claws of her own—or perish in the snow.

Instead, she catches the attention of the town's most dangerous owner.
Alaric Lazarus is a vampire who rules from the black castle overlooking Ashbourne Hollow. He is cold, enigmatic, and impossible to read, but he awakens something in Talia she can't explain. She doesn't trust him. He trusts her even less.
Then vampires begin turning up dead.
Forced into an uneasy alliance, Talia and Alaric uncover a trail that leads back to the family she lost... and the curse she thought she'd escaped. As old enemies emerge from the shadows and buried secrets come to light, Talia discovers that everything she believed about her past was a lie.

For a price.
Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.

Glamour is how he draws them in.

He moaned against my throat as he drank, and the sound was devastating.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
