Introduction
At Salvation, a hidden academy for the supernatural, she is an outcast. While navigating the school's rigid hierarchies, tormented by elitist bullies, and finding an unlikely friendship with a wolfless shewolf, Amaya finds herself torn between her two mentors, caught in a tempestuous love triangle that challenges the very definitions of light and dark.
Amaya is plagued by her most terrifying vision yet: the death of the creator god, Zohar. When cosmic disasters begin to ravage the Earth as a god dies, the horrifying truth is revealed. In their shared grief and guilt, the walls between Amaya, Malik, and Ryker crumble, leading to a night of intimacy that irrevocably forges them into something more than just a woman and her two guardians. With Zohar’s throne empty, his ancient, jealous brother emerges to claim all of creation. As Salvation becomes the last bastion in a war for existence, Amaya learns of an ancient prophecy of the Dark Mother. To save everyone she loves, Amaya must not only master her power but become the living embodiment of that prophecy, uniting her Saint and her Sinner to face a god and decide the fate of a new, godless age.
Chapter 1
“To the eyes that can see beauty, every moment there is creation, every moment destruction. There is no absolute creation, no absolute destruction. Both are movement, and that is eternal." – Ramana Maharshi.
The scent of the shop was a contradiction I cherished: the earthy aroma of dried herbs—lavender, chamomile, and something deeper, like soil—mingled with the clean, metallic tang of sterilized equipment. It clung to me, a second skin. I adjusted a row of amber bottles on the polished mahogany shelves, their crisp white labels a stark contrast to the bundles of dried sage hanging from the rafters. Belladonna extract. Tincture of digitalis. Elderflower infusion. My fingers brushed the glass, cool and solid. A tremor ran through me. Not from the cold.
Smoke. Acrid, choking. The shriek of metal tearing, wood splintering. A child's scream, not my own. A flash, then darkness. Then the suffocating weight of helplessness.
I pressed my thumb against a bottle of willow bark, the memory a ghost at the edges of my vision. My breath hitched. That was the chaos. This, now, was control. My world. Order.
Dole's Apothecary hummed around me, a gentle thrum of quiet perfection. On one side, the gleaming chrome and glass of the modern dispensary. On the other hand, the dark wood and ancient wisdom of the herbalist. Sunlight, strained through the antique glass of the front window, painted dusty motes in the air. My white lab coat, starched and crisp over my simple clothes, rustled as I moved between the two worlds. The polished counter bridged them, reflecting neat rows of prescription vials and hand-labeled tinctures.
I gathered the ingredients for Mrs. Gable's custom blend. Rosemary, for memory. Lemon balm, for calm. A touch of valerian, for rest. The precise measurements, the careful grind of the mortar and pestle, the rhythmic pour of the liquid—each motion a meditation. My hands moved with practiced grace, a dancer performing a familiar, soothing choreography. The amber liquid swirled, blending into a perfect, harmonious whole. This was my mastery. This was my solace.
The bell above the door jingled, a bright sound that broke the hushed quiet.
"Amaya, dear, are you there?"
A smile touched my lips. "Good afternoon, Mrs. Gable."
The elderly woman shuffled in, her sensible shoes squeaking on the polished wood floor. Her floral scarf, a splash of vibrant color in the muted shop, seemed to wilt around her shoulders. "Oh, it's this dreadful, dreadful draft. My joints, you know. They just seize up. And the memories… they keep me up at night." She wrung her hands, her gaze drifting to the ornate ceiling.
I moved to the counter, my voice soft but steady. "The wind picked up this morning. Did you try the lavender balm on your temples? It often helps with the restless nights."
Mrs. Gable sighed, a long, rattling sound. "I did, I did. But this old brain of mine just runs. Like a hamster on a wheel, dear. Round and round." She peered at the small, cloth-wrapped package in my hand. "Is that it, then? My little potion?"
"Just so." I presented the bottle. "Rosemary to sharpen the mind during the day, lemon balm for tranquility, and valerian to ease you into sleep." I tapped the glass. "A few drops in warm tea before bed. Don't take too much, now. Valerian can be rather potent."
Mrs. Gable's eyes crinkled at the corners. "Potent, you say? Perhaps a little extra wouldn't hurt. I did run into that dreadful Mr. Henderson at the market. His tomatoes are simply ghastly this year."
I chuckled, a low, melodic sound. "Even ghastly tomatoes require a clear head, Mrs. Gable. Stick to the recommended dose." I lowered my voice slightly. "And perhaps a quiet evening, away from garden produce discussions."
Mrs. Gable laughed, a surprisingly robust sound. "You always know how to make an old woman feel better, dear. Thank you. This world… it just keeps spinning faster, doesn't it? Hard to keep up." She tucked the bottle into her capacious handbag. "You're a godsend, Amaya. A real godsend."
I watched her go, the bell chiming a farewell. The afternoon light softened, painting long shadows across the floorboards. Mrs. Gable, with her complaints and her garden woes, was a comforting constant. This life, built on routine and simple remedies, felt safe. Predictable. Ordered.
But as the door closed and the silence settled, a quiet hum stirred beneath my ribs. A tiny, discordant note in the symphony of my control. My life was a meticulously constructed fortress, every stone placed to avoid the chaos that had once consumed me. But a fortress, I realized, also kept things out. Not just risk, but… something else. Something vibrant. Joy? Maybe even, just a little danger.
I turned to the belladonna, a potent poison, its power harnessed and controlled in my practiced hands. A stray breeze, or so I thought, kissed the back of my neck. A chill, sharp, and sudden coursed through me. The overhead fluorescent lights flickered, a momentary stutter that plunged the rows of bottles into brief shadow. Glass jars on the shelves rattled, a soft, almost inaudible hum, then stilled. I frowned, scanning the room. Nothing. Just a trick of the light. Fatigue, perhaps.
The bell chimed again. A new customer.

He was a beast inhabiting this mansion, inflicting inhuman torture on my poor soul. He had created a living hell for me, this pitiful girl, within his castle.
On this cold winter night, he threw my wounded body into the icy pool, arrogantly enjoying it all, drinking and smoking expensive cigars. A satisfied, cold smile played on his lips as he reveled in my pain. His face was filled with the darkness of sin.
“How...more...am I…still…standing?” I stammered, my lips trembling.
Zain paused, thinking. Then, turning away from her, he replied:
“Until you die!”
With that, he left. As he wished. At that moment, my wish came true; I died.
But not in a frozen pool; I was struck in the head by a bullet from afar, blood splattering everywhere—that was far more gruesome.
My consciousness began to fade, but suddenly, I opened my eyes again and found myself mopping the floor in an ordinary restaurant.
I was startled: What happened? I was reborn? This is unbelievable!

At thirteen, everything changed.
After her parents were murdered, she was cursed by a powerful witch and used as a vessel for Elder magic. Saving her life came at an impossible cost; the curse was broken, but so was the wolf inside her, leaving her human.
Ten years later, Talia hides her grief behind sharp sarcasm and a smile she no longer believes. When a rogue attack proves she can no longer protect herself, or the people she loves, she leaves the only home she's ever known for the quiet human town of Ashbourne Hollow, determined to disappear.
Instead, she catches the attention of the town's most dangerous owner.
Alaric Lazarus is a vampire who rules from the black castle overlooking Ashbourne Hollow. He is cold, enigmatic, and impossible to read, but he awakens something in Talia she can't explain. She doesn't trust him. He trusts her even less.
Then vampires begin turning up dead.
Forced into an uneasy alliance, Talia and Alaric uncover a trail that leads back to the family she lost... and the curse she thought she'd escaped. As old enemies emerge from the shadows and buried secrets come to light, Talia discovers that everything she believed about her past was a lie.

For a price.
Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.

Glamour is how he draws them in.
And apparently, they just don’t mix.

After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
