Doomsday Betrayal: My Rise as the Supreme Zombie King
Angela · Completed · 6.0k Words
Introduction
But she didn't know that I mutated amidst the pile of corpses and awakened into the only zombie tyrant.
I corrupted the space, cut off food supplies, led a horde of tens of thousands of zombies to besiege the city, and threw a bounty at the starving mob: "Use her flesh and blood to exchange for a bite to eat."
Watching the once-lofty Mother Teresa torn to pieces, kneeling at my feet weeping and begging for mercy, I laughed. Moral blackmail? Sorry, I'm the Zombie King now.
Chapter 1
Thirty days after the apocalypse, the city had become a morgue, and Chloe and I were just one of the few survivors .
In order to find something to eat for Chloe, who had a high fever, I had no choice but to go out and look for food. Just as I stepped over a pile of broken glass, a suffocating stench hit me—an infected creature lunged out of the shadows.
Its speed is astonishing.
I instinctively swung my baton to block, but my foot slipped, and a rusty steel bar protruding from the rubble pierced straight into my right abdomen.
A sharp pain tore at my nerves. I crashed to the ground, warm blood gushing out and instantly soaking my coat. The infected's roars drew closer, dried scabs and rotten teeth almost touching my face.
I'm going to die here.
Just as the fangs were about to crush my throat, the whole world suddenly went silent.
I opened my eyes and found myself in a brand new supermarket. Next to me were fresh produce and meat.
I covered my bleeding wound and, incredulously, used the shelf for support to stand up .
Stumbling towards the checkout counter, a line of faintly glowing green text flickered on a hanging display screen: [Space Hub Bound. Inventory automatically refreshed; supplies never expire.]
There's actually a space here!
I ripped a roll of gauze from the shelf in the pharmacy section and roughly wrapped it around the wound on my abdomen. Then I grabbed a freshly baked roast chicken and a few bottles of mineral water.
I have to go back to Chloe.
The thought had barely formed in my mind when a flash of white light returned me to my original spot, where the infected creature was still wandering around . Taking advantage of the brief moment when its back was turned to me, I used the shadow of the trash can as cover and left.
The safe house in the basement reeked of mildew. Chloe was curled up on a tattered mattress, her once delicate face now gaunt with prominent cheekbones.
Hearing footsteps, she opened her eyes warily. When she saw the glaring bloodstains all over me, she merely frowned indifferently; but when she saw that I had pulled the still-steaming roast chicken from my pocket, her pupils dilated instantly.
"God..." She didn't ask me where the blood on my body came from, nor did she ask about my injuries. Like a starving beast, she pounced on me, snatched the roast chicken, and tore into it frantically, not even bothering to spit out the bones.
I grasped her greasy wrist. My expression was serious: " I'll take you somewhere."
The next second, the stench of the air around us was replaced by the cold air from the air conditioner, and we found ourselves standing in the center of a brightly lit supermarket.
Chloe dropped the half-eaten chicken she was holding. She straightened up, trembling, her incredulous gaze sweeping wildly over the mountains of canned meat, snacks, and bottled water .
“This is my ability.” I pressed down on her shoulder, my tone unusually serious: “Chloe, listen. The people outside are starving . If anyone knew we had these supplies, they would tear us to pieces. This secret is our only chance to survive, and it must never be revealed.”
She immediately turned around, hugged me tightly, and buried her face in my chest. "Of course, I swear. I'll do whatever you say, just the two of us."
the first time she had hugged me since the catastrophe .

The Rejected Luna’s Rise
Luna Ariana Volkstane slid the formal rejection request across the table. "Let's end this bond. It's better for you, me, and your first love."
He just smirked. "You want me to reject you? You think you can break our bond that easily?"
So she did. Ariana cut ties with him completely, poured herself into her career, and rose to global fame as a legendary healer, her knowledge of rare herbs, wolf anatomy, and ancient magic sought after across continents.
The powerful suitors lined up. The Alpha of an overseas empire whispered, "Ariana, hurry up and perform the severing ritual. I can't wait to claim you." A powerful pack leader vowed, "I'll be there with you the day you break the bond." A legendary wolf attorney promised, "I'll handle your rejection case with the pack council myself."
Ariana just rubbed her temples. It's not that she didn't want the split, she wanted it more than anything, it's just that the Alpha she was mated to refused to let go.
Finally, she announced, "Whoever can officially get me rejected, I'll put you at the head table of my bond-breaking celebration."
Not long after, Alpha Damian was served the official rejection request right in the middle of an emergency pack council meeting. That same afternoon, he was attacked by rogues at the gates of his own territory.
When Ariana showed up at the pack infirmary with healing herbs, she repeated calmly, "Let's sever the mate bond. It's better for you, me, and everyone else."
But the cold, untouchable Alpha pulled her into his arms, his eyes blood-red with fury. "You want me to reject you? Over my dead body."
