Then his attitude began to change.
Just when I thought we might have a real future, Beatrice returned with tears and lies, claiming I'd stolen her place. Rowan believed her. My parents betrayed me. Everyone chose her.

Rowan pulled Beatrice into his arms and abandoned me without a glance.
They tortured me for three days. The baby in my womb died first. Its father never knew it existed.

Chapter 1
Gemma's POV
In my past life, I replaced my runaway sister Beatrice and was forced to marry mob enforcer Rowan Sinclair.
She thought he was poor with no future, so she ran. My parents didn't even tell me before sending me in her place.
Rowan knew the truth. He carried it like shame—never truly seeing me, only cold stares and silent contempt. I spent years beside him like an unwanted ghost, carefully managing his world while he rose from despised smuggler to feared godfather.
Then his attitude began to change.
Just when I thought we might have a real future, Beatrice returned with tears and lies, claiming I'd stolen her place. Rowan believed her. My parents betrayed me. Everyone chose her.
When a rival family captured us both, guns to our heads, only one could survive.
Rowan pulled Beatrice into his arms and abandoned me without a glance.
They tortured me for three days. The baby in my womb died first. Its father never knew it existed.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back to that afternoon before it all began.
"Ms. Hartley." My lawyer Holden set down his glasses. "The divorce papers are ready. But we're talking about Don Sinclair. Without his signature, this document is worthless."
"I'll handle the signature."
He looked like he wanted to say more. He didn't. He stamped the papers.
Outside the firm, I tucked the documents into my bag and paused on the steps. Harsh sunlight hit my face—sharp as the memory of my last moment alive. The Vance family, guns raised, forcing Rowan to choose. He didn't hesitate. Didn't glance at me. Just crossed the room and put his body in front of Beatrice.
After that, Rowan personally disavowed me. Said I was nobody. Said they could do whatever they wanted.
They did.
Broken ribs. Three days. A baby who never got the chance to breathe.
I flagged down a car to the Sinclair estate.
The door hadn't fully opened before my mother Josephine's voice cut through it.
"Where the hell have you been?! Beatrice's party starts at three—I told you yesterday to have the cupcakes ready. Are you deaf, or just doing this on purpose?!"
My father Emmett came from the dining room, each step deliberate on marble. "You show up now? Jealous that Rowan threw Beatrice a party."
"Today is also my birthday—"
My mother laughed, short and cold. "You think marrying into this house makes you worthy of the Sinclair name?"
"Beatrice and Rowan were always meant to end up together," my father said. "If it weren't for you, she'd already be his wife."
I stood there and thought of childhood birthdays—how I used to hope for a cake. Just a small one. I stopped hoping eventually, but every year something in me would still quietly wait. Until dark. Until it was certain nothing was coming.
This was the last time I'd ever wait.
I swallowed it. Said nothing.
Footsteps on the stairs. Beatrice descended in a sage-green dress, hair loosely pinned, eyes softening into that perfectly practiced expression.
She touched my father's arm. "Dad, don't be so hard on her." Then she turned to me with a small sigh. "If I hadn't left the way I did, Rowan never would have…" She let it trail. "I don't blame you, Gemma."
The last word landed. The corner of her mouth curved—just barely. Just enough.
In my past life, I'd heard those words and chosen silence. All the way to my death.
"I'm divorcing Rowan."
Three seconds.
My mother's teacup froze mid-air. Beatrice went rigid. My father recovered first with a derisive laugh. "Good. What have you done for this family in three years? Nothing."
"We'll give you half the assets," my mother said. "Don't say we gave you nothing."
Beatrice dropped the warmth entirely. "Stop the games. Get it done and get out. Out of Rowan's life. For good."
I looked at all three of them. "You'll have exactly what you want. Very soon."
Upstairs, I started packing. My bedroom door opened without a knock.
Rowan stood in the doorway, eyes on my bag. "Where were you this morning? It's Beatrice's birthday. You vanished for hours."
I held out the papers. "Couldn't sleep. Hospital checkup, some paperwork. I just need your signature."
He took the documents without looking at them, uncapped his pen, signed at the bottom, and dropped them back into my hands.
"Today is my birthday too," I said.
He paused. Stood there for a moment.
Then walked out.
I looked down at his signature. Three years, ended in seconds—without even the courtesy of eye contact.
The door opened again. Beatrice slipped her arm through Rowan's. "Can you tell me if this dress works for tonight?"
The tightness in his face dissolved as he turned to her. "Go change first." Then, back to me: "Make sure the party tonight goes smoothly."
In the hallway, Beatrice glanced over her shoulder. "Rowan, you're a little hard on Gemma sometimes. She is still your wife."
"She doesn't deserve the title."
I stood there for three full seconds.
That was the sound of the last splinter—something small and stubborn that had survived everything, still refusing to die. Something that had believed him when he said he kept our marriage private to protect me. Believed him all the way to the end.
It finally didn't.
I pressed my fingers lightly to the corner of my eye. Nothing came. Maybe tears too understood when something wasn't worth the effort.
Then I looked down, eyes settling on the faint curve just barely visible beneath the hem of my dress.
I smiled—and this time, I meant it.
If I don't deserve it, I thought, I won't trouble him any longer.

Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.
**
As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.
Asher is a Navy veteran with battle scars and zero patience. He calls me "princess" like it's an insult. I can't stand him.
When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
The Last of US
I’m not sure that was what I expected him to say, but I had been waiting to hear it. I smiled playfully, looking at him. “Yes, my king,” I said.
Moments, his lips were on mine. The kiss was soft and gentle at first, his hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me close to him; I let my arms find their way around his neck. I felt his tongue gently run along my lower lip and couldn’t help the soft moan that escaped my mouth at its touch. Von only took that as permission and slipped his tongue into my mouth; I let my tongue explore his mouth as he did the same to mine. Eventually, the kiss grew deeper, and before I knew it, I was straddling his lap in one quick motion. His hands found their way to my hair, tangled in it as he tugged it lightly in his grip. I couldn’t help moaning against his lips; a growl of pleasure came from deep in his throat.
My name is Arianna Maree Paxton however I Hate that name my parents gave me that name, after my , great-great grandmother. So I go by Ari. you see my parents are hardly that they hate me in every way possible. I am only here to be their slave and plaything, otherwise they probably would of killed me a long time ago. My family belong to a pride of snow leopards well now were more of a group then a pride most of us have died out. I have a feeling my species will be coming to a end soon and the worst part of it is that we will die with such a shameful legacy left behind one that I want no part of.
Were simply a small part of the shifter community, most every other shifter, magical beings live in harmony with humans and other beings. However, they do have their own rules they each follow but for the most part the respect each other, it doesn’t mean they share anything by any means. Each has their own schools, hospitals, and way of living but terrroity and lives are generally respected. However, I feel that is mostly in part to fear of the Royal family.
However my species is dying out because they have lost their way , when you force your leopard to do horrid things it will eventually leave you , which was what was happing all around me , when that happens you can no longer find a mate , and usually you lose your mind. Without mates we can no longer reproduce hence the feeling of the end coming soon. Or at least I thought that was the reason I have that feeling but I kind of feel like something bigger is on the way.

Iron And Glamour Just Don't Mix
Well… Sometimes you just might turn out to be right.
It turns out, the fae stole my little brother. In his place? A pixie with boundary issues and a talent for home repairs.
I’ve spent my life taking care of everyone else. So when my baby brother is taken, I don’t hesitate. I walk straight into a faerie mansion and make a bargain with its infuriatingly charming master.
Kie is everything you’d expect from a dangerous fae, beautiful, political, and entirely too amused by me. Power wrapped in a smirk. Sensual, mischievous, and far too aware of the effect he has on people. He agrees to help me find my brother.
For a price.
Now I’m bound by a faerie bargain and navigating a world of glamour, manipulation, and ancient rules I definitely should have learned sooner, enchanted forests, political games, magical contracts, and a fae lord who treats seduction like a perfectly reasonable negotiation tactic.
Iron is how I keep people out.
Glamour is how he draws them in.
And apparently, they just don’t mix.

He was a beast inhabiting this mansion, inflicting inhuman torture on my poor soul. He had created a living hell for me, this pitiful girl, within his castle.
On this cold winter night, he threw my wounded body into the icy pool, arrogantly enjoying it all, drinking and smoking expensive cigars. A satisfied, cold smile played on his lips as he reveled in my pain. His face was filled with the darkness of sin.
“How...more...am I…still…standing?” I stammered, my lips trembling.
Zain paused, thinking. Then, turning away from her, he replied:
“Until you die!”
With that, he left. As he wished. At that moment, my wish came true; I died.
But not in a frozen pool; I was struck in the head by a bullet from afar, blood splattering everywhere—that was far more gruesome.
My consciousness began to fade, but suddenly, I opened my eyes again and found myself mopping the floor in an ordinary restaurant.
I was startled: What happened? I was reborn? This is unbelievable!
