Chloe Bennett thought she had found the perfect escape when she spent a wild, anonymous night in Boston with a handsome stranger named Lio. Twelve months later, she lands her dream job in New York City, only to discover that her "Lio" is actually Elias Miles the notoriously cold, arrogant, and breathtakingly powerful CEO of Miles Media.
As Chloe navigates the treacherous waters of corporate espionage and high-stakes media wars, she must decide if she can handle the "all-or-nothing" intensity of a man who refuses to be second to anyone. With a rival media mogul breathing down their necks and a past that refuses to stay buried, their connection is tested by secrets, scandals, and a deep-seated fear of commitment.
Can Chloe Bennett break through the ice around Elias’s heart, or will this high-powered world of luxury and lies tear them apart for good? Does Elias Miles truly have a heart, or was Chloe just another stopover in his life?
Chapter 1
“Could you shift?” The growl comes from right behind my shoulder.
I spin around, startled, facing the guy looming in the queue. “Sorry?” The word comes out sharper than I mean it to. “You trying to squeeze past?”
“Nah. I just want those morons up front to get their act together. I’m gonna miss my bloody flight because of this circus.” He curls his lip, and a sour wave of booze hits me. “They’re pathetic.”
I pivot back forward. Fantastic. A pissed-up loudmouth right on my tail. Exactly the cherry I needed on this already rotten day.
Heathrow is absolute chaos. Fog and rain have snarled half the departures, and honestly, part of me is praying my flight gets pushed back too. Then I could bail, crawl back to the hotel room, and sleep until next month.
I’m really not up for any of this.
The guy starts griping to whoever’s behind him now, loud enough for the whole line to hear. I roll my eyes so hard it hurts. Why do some people have to be so aggressively unpleasant?
For what feels like forever probably ten solid minutes I endure the grumbling, the heavy sighs, the muttered curses. Finally I can’t stand it. I twist around. “They’re moving as quickly as humanly possible. No call for acting like a prat.”
“What?” He swings his red face toward me, voice rising. “Manners cost nothing,” I mutter, mostly to myself.
“Manners cost nothing?” he mocks, volume cranked up. “Who the hell are you, my mum? Or just some stuck-up cow?”
I lock eyes with him and hold it. Yeah, I’m game. The last couple of days have been pure misery. I crossed an ocean for a wedding, only to spend the reception watching my ex plaster himself all over his shiny new girlfriend like I didn’t exist. Right now, I’m ready to verbally dismantle someone.
Don’t test me.
I face front again, anger simmering low in my gut.
Then my suitcase jolts hard. He’s kicked it. I whirl. “Cut that out.”
He leans in close, breath like a distillery explosion. “I’ll do whatever the fuck I want, sweetheart.”
I catch movement security drifting closer, eyes on him. The check-in staff must’ve flagged it. I plaster on a saccharine smile. “Kindly leave my luggage alone, please.”
“I’ll kick whatever the fuck I want.” He grabs the case and hurls it sideways. It skids across the tiles.
“Are you serious?” I yelp.
“Oi!” A voice from behind us. “Hands off her things. Security over here!”
My drunk friend wheels around and swings a wild fist at the guy who spoke up. Next thing I know, it’s a messy shoving match of grunts, curses, flailing arms.
Guards pour in from every direction. I’m jostled backward as the drunk keeps swinging and swearing. Brilliant. Just brilliant. This is precisely what my day was missing.
They finally wrestle him down and cuff him. One of the nicer officers retrieves my bag, dusting it off. “Sorry you had to deal with that. Come with me.” He unclips the queue barrier.
“Thank you.” I shoot an apologetic grimace at the people still waiting. Queue-jumping feels wrong, but right now I’m past caring. I trail after him like a scolded kid.
He leads me to a counter where a young guy looks up and flashes a warm grin. “Hey there.”
“Hi.”
“You alright?” he asks, genuine concern in his tone.
“Yeah, thanks. I’m okay.”
“Take good care of her,” the guard tells him with a wink before melting back into the crowd.
“Passport, please?”
I rummage in my bag, fish it out, hand it over. He glances at the photo and chuckles. God, it’s horrific. “Wanted poster material?” I joke.
“Might be. This you, or did they grab a random mugshot?” He’s laughing now.
I cringe-laugh. “Pray it’s not me, or I’m in serious trouble.”
He taps away at the keyboard. “Right, so you’re headed to New York today, connecting through…” He trails off, scanning the screen.
“Yep. Just hoping my seat isn’t anywhere near that charming gentleman.”
“He’s not boarding anything today except a police van,” he says, fingers flying. “Why anyone starts drinking before they even reach the terminal is beyond me.”
“You’d be amazed at the stories I hear,” he replies with a small sigh. He’s easy to talk to, refreshing after the last hour.
The boarding passes spit out. “I’ve bumped you up.”
“Sorry?”
“First class. Least we can do after that scene with your bag.”
My mouth drops open. “You don’t have to, I mean, really, it’s fine.”
He slides the tickets across with a big smile. “Have a brilliant flight.”
“Thank you. Seriously.” I’m gushing and I don’t even care.
He winks. I’m half a second from leaning over the counter and squeezing him in a hug, but I restrain myself. Gotta act like upgrades happen to me daily.
“VIP lounge is up on level one if you fancy it. Food and drinks are complimentary. Safe travels.” He nods toward the next person. “Next, please.”
I float through security wearing what’s probably the goofiest grin in Heathrow history. First class. Pinch me.
Three hours on, I step onto the plane feeling vaguely fraudulent. I skipped the lounge honestly, I looked wrecked. Hair scraped into a messy high ponytail, black leggings, oversized pink jumper, battered trainers. I did a swipe on some lip gloss and mascara in the bathroom, so small victories. If I’d had any clue about the upgrade, I’d have packed something chic instead of resembling someone who slept in a bus shelter. Whatever. No one I know is here to judge.
The flight attendant takes my ticket. “Left aisle, then right.”
“Cheers.” I checked seat number 1B.
Bugger. Aisle. No window.
I reach my row. The man by the window glances up. Striking blue eyes, easy smile. “Hi.”
“Hi,” I managed.
Oh hell. I’m parked next to what can only be described as unfairly attractive. And here I am looking like roadkill. Brilliant.
I fumble with the overhead bin. He’s on his feet in a second. “Allow me.” He lifts my bag like it weighs nothing and slots it away neatly. Tall, solid, jeans, plain white tee. And whatever cologne he’s wearing should be illegal, it's that good.
“Thanks,” I mumble, dragging fingers through my ponytail in a pointless attempt to tame it. Why didn’t I at least brush my hair properly?

The chef’s face morphed into existential crisis.

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...
Three years ago, to fulfill the wish of his grandmother, I was forced to marry Derek Wells, the second son of the family that had adopted me for ten years. He didn't love me, but I had secretly loved him all along.

Mates: Regrets and Redemption
With my heart in pieces, I sought solace in the last place I expected—my Alpha's arms. One night turned into a dangerous entanglement, and now my Alpha refuses to let me go. As the Alpha’s obsession grows, I'm caught in a web of desire and fear.
Curtis, the boy I once loved, still holds a promise I made, but the Alpha’s powerful presence pulls me deeper into his world. Should I forgive Curtis and keep my word, or should I risk everything for a chance at something wild and unpredictable with the Alpha who won’t take no for an answer?
“There are no limits between us,” he chuckled, the mirth sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. “And all of this stems from the night you gave me both pain and pleasure. I’m simply returning the favor.”
He took two steps forward, and I stepped back. “But…” The memory of what I had done filled me with fear, and I knew I had to get out of there. “I…”
“No, Firecat.” He placed an index finger on my lips. “This will take your mind off that son of a bitch.” His strong hands pulled me by the waist until I felt his hard manhood.
Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
The Alpha's Stripper Mate
"What?" It was out of my mouth before I could stop it. I did not wait for him to answer me, I walked toward him.
"Dance on my lap."
My head screamed at me to turn around and run. But my whole body responded to his command.
"Yes, Alpha," I pulled my dress over my body, it dropped over my head and fell to the ground behind me. I was left in nothing but my matching bra and thong. My hands covered my chest on reflex.
"Let me see."
My hands dropped to my sides.
I lowered myself into his lap, facing him. His eyes peered into mine, and I could feel his hot breath fan my face. His dick responded to all my moves, hardening against my now-moist vagina. I swallowed hard, allowing my lips to part in a ragged breath. His hands trailed up to my waist.
"No touching."
