Chapter 1
Reno walked calmly through the dark quiet street his black cloak merging with the night. The street light flickered and the crickets chirped loudly nonstop.
He was alone at first until …..
A shadow flickered past hurriedly. He stopped in his tracks and then, they came into view. Three of them, not smiling, blood thirsty.
An arrow flew directly at him. He caught it and snapped it into two. Then another, and torrents of them. Seeing the arrows weren't working and they were about losing track of him, they gave chase.
He ran down the street, with them in hot pursuit. As he ran, he sighted a figure standing by a tree, nonchalantly. He hurried to whoever it was and grabbed….her. A pretty teenager of about eighteen browsing through her phone.
“You need to get out of this area now!” He shouted urgently but she just looked up at him like he was talking rubbish. “Who are you to order me around?” She asked like what he said didn't matter.
As he was about to answer, a gun was shot at her. Like lightening, she dodged it. His eyes widened. He looked back and saw the assassins closing in on them. Without her permission, he grabbed her wrist and dived into the deep forest behind them.
They ran deep into it with arrows whizzing past their ears, and several shots fired at them. She is very athletic and dodges bullets that he almost didn't need to protect her.
“Who the fuck are you and why are we being chased?”
“I don't know who they are but….I can't reveal my identity to you” he said and she scoffed then stopped running.
“Then I will confront them myself”
“Are you crazy?!” he shouted and tried pulling her but she shrugged him off.
“Shit!” he exclaimed seeing they were already surrounded. He sighed and stepped in front of her. He then stomped his right feet hard on the floor and it shook violently.
A huge wall of fire rose from the ground and surrounded them. Her eyes shone in wonder.
“You….you aren't human?”
He didn't reply but instead focused his energy on manipulating the elements around them to fight. A huge gust of wind whipped and sent the men flying into the bark of a tree.
Then he saw it, the symbol on the men arms. A serpent coiled around a staff, and a skeleton head. A sign of the exiled demons.
“Rexy!
So he was on earth too?
“Too slow for the devil's son, I expected more than this from you” a voice said and floated into the forest.
“What are you doing here? How did you pass the portal into earth?!” he shouted in fury and shot a ball of fire at Rexy. But he laughed and just quenched it.
“What am doing here? Oh you meant earth? Exactly what you are doing too, looking for the lost princess or can't I?” He questioned ridiculously.
Reno laughed in anger “looking for the lost princess for your benefit or for the benefit of everyone?”
“I don't know and I don't care either. When father banished me, no one stood up for me. I am going to take back that throne just wait. Better be on your guard for the princess”brother”. He advised mockingly and with a wave of his cloak, he turned into a trail of smoke and vanished with his men.
Reno took a deep breath and the surrounding became normal again. He had forgotten there was someone there.
“So who are you and what princess are you talking about?”
He jerked in fright. “Its none of your business. I just saved your life, you are suppose to be thankful to me”
She scoffed, “thankful my ass. They were after you and sent by that beast of a guy. Even if you entered my clothes, they won't hurt a hair on my head” she said haughtily.
He rolled his eyes in frustration “we are safe now, you can get going. This place isn't safe, leave now before the wide animals comes out. And dont tell anyone about everything you saw today.” With a wave of his cloak, he vanished into thin air.
He silently walked into his private estate unnoticed by the guards. His mind was racing with different thoughts. “Rexy is on earth too. I need to find the princess to rebuild the celestial city and claim the throne” he sighed desperatly and took a large gulp of water.
Absentmindedly, he picked up the remote control and began to go through the channels, but they were all talking about the famous but mysterious Mr Reno of the Shayan group.
Some claimed to have gotten a glimpse of him and a mysterious picture of him was displayed, with more than half of his face covered by a hat.
Little did they know that their idol was on a life quest and isn't even human! The so called shayan group was just something to keep him busy, and connect him to the outside world as he searched for the princess. He didn't even expect it to become a household name. He only wanted something small.
Taking off his cloak, he hung it and straightened his perfect black hair that was a bit messy. Then, he took off his clothes and arranged a warm bath. Slowly like he was being controlled, he stepped in and laid inside like it was an empty tub.
Letting his thoughts wander, they went to his dad and family. He is the second son and not originally the heir to the throne. Rexy the first born was. But after their father found out about his ambition to overthrow him and take over hell, he was exiled with his disciples and Reno was made the new heir.
Since then, he has been bitter at him and won't give up trying to get the throne. That's why he came to earth too, to find the princess so he can use her as a sacrifice to awaken the ancient altar of the celestial realm and make his powers multiply.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind and he suddenly jumped out of the bath, snatched his cloak and vanished.
