Chapter 1
Anna's PoV
"You will be handling Don Vincenzo Torrino's therapy session."
Ever since those words were spoken, my life has been completely turned upside down. As I looked down through the airplane window at Chicago below, I knew that my career was about to change in ways I never expected.
The moment I stepped off the plane, I saw a man standing at the gate entrance and recognized him immediately.
"Doctor Anna Sinclair, welcome to Chicago. Everything is ready for your session with Don Vincenzo," Agent Declan Adams told me with a professional nod.
I really hoped he was telling the truth. As we got into the car, my mind became filled with thoughts about Don Vincenzo Torrino.
Most people considered him to be Chicago's most mysterious crime boss. Everyone knew the story of Don Vincenzo, who had been involved in complicated financial crimes and was now facing trial. I could only hope that enough security measures were in place to prevent any dangerous situations.
As soon as we arrived at the prison, I shook my head at the harsh reality. Being locked up in this place could not be good for any human being.
We walked through the main floor of the prison, which was heavily guarded by many officers. As we slowly got closer to Don Vincenzo's cell, I felt my heart beating faster, and Agent Adams seemed to notice this as he gave me a reassuring nod.
When we arrived at Don Vincenzo's cell, Agent Adams stepped in front of me and looked me in the eyes.
"You can do this, Doctor Sinclair," he told me, and I responded with a determined smile, turning toward the door and walking up to it.
The moment I stepped into the cell, I was hit by the smell of masculine sweat. I turned to see Don Vincenzo doing intense push-ups. I noticed a table had been properly set up for this session, and I walked over to it, setting down my bag and taking my seat while I watched him continue his workout.
After a few minutes, he stood up from the push-ups and grabbed a towel to wipe the sweat from his muscular body.
To say Don Vincenzo was attractive would be putting it mildly. He gave off a dangerous charm that was hard to ignore.
"Agent Adams is getting clever, I must say." His voice was deep and commanding, sending an unwanted shiver down my spine.
"Mr Torrino, please take a seat. Let us begin this session," I said firmly, refusing to let him intimidate me.
"Interesting," he said thoughtfully, looking at me with amusement. "I assume they have not told you everything about me."
"I believe I know enough. You are Don Vincenzo Torrino, Chicago's top financial criminal. Your network is like nothing this city has ever seen. I am well-informed about your activities," I replied coolly.
He walked over to the chair, a cocky smile playing on his lips as he sat down with an air of authority.
"I suppose they conveniently left out the part where seven other therapists before you met unfortunate ends." I gasped at this revelation, automatically looking at the camera.
"Judging by your reaction, they did not share that information. Agent Adams must not value your life very much," he said, shaking his head as if he was disappointed.
"Touch her, and you are dead, Torrino," a voice warned through the room's speaker.
"I have no intention of harming her. I find her quite interesting, actually," Don Vincenzo replied, his intense gaze making me swallow hard.
"Let us focus on the session," I said, clearing my throat and getting my notes.
"How old are you, Doctor Sinclair?" The question caught me off guard.
"How did you know my name?" I asked, momentarily confused.
"Your documents," he said, nodding toward the papers on the table. "Your name is clearly visible on the letterhead."
"Right. Moving on... How are you feeling today, Mister Torrino?" I tried to steer the conversation back to professional matters.
"I will not say another word unless you answer my question," he said, his face serious.
"I am twenty-eight," I replied reluctantly.
"Interesting... Tell me, doctor, have you ever truly lived?" The meaning behind his question made me uncomfortable.
"I have answered your question. Now, it is appropriate that we focus on the purpose of this session," I insisted, trying to maintain my professional composure.
"Answer me!" His commanding tone made me realize I was walking a dangerous line.
"That is not relevant to our session," I said, looking away from him.
"Your reluctance speaks volumes, Doctor Sinclair. Perhaps you need someone to show you what you are missing." His words, filled with suggestion, were the last straw. I stood up, grabbing my bag.
"What is the matter, sweetheart? Did I strike a nerve?" He chuckled, relaxing further in his chair.
"Your ego is your biggest problem, Mr Torrino. The world does not revolve around you, despite what you might think. I hope you enjoy your time in this cell," I snapped, turning around and leaving.
Once outside, Agent Adams was by my side, guiding me to a seat. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.
"I have dealt with difficult patients before, but this... I do not
think I am the right fit for this case. You will need to find someone else.”

Underwater: The Silent Luna
It sounded like fate. Like rescue. Like the moment the universe finally chose her.
Even with the suspicion clinging to the proposal, Meadow let herself believe it. She stepped into the marriage blindly, hoping love would fill the quiet spaces of her mute, colourless life.
But the truth comes fast, and cruel.

Vengeance of the Forsaken Luna
"Bella." Ethan's tone shifted, taking on that warning edge I knew too well. "Faye is vulnerable right now. She's terrified you'll resent her, that this will divide the pack. The last thing she wants is for this baby to come between us."
"Then you shouldn't have done it." I met his eyes squarely, letting him see the ice in mine. "Go back to your son."
"For fuck's sake." He dragged a hand through his hair. "How many times—it was artificial insemination. They used my sperm, yes, but Faye and I never—"
Bella let out a cold snort. Such brazen lies. Her mate had an affair with his brother's partner, and his entire family helped force her out with nothing, all to make way for the mistress to take her rightful position. Poor fool—he thought she was just an unwanted adopted daughter, easy to dismiss and control. He never knew the computer genius he'd been searching for was his own Luna.
Since he'd tainted himself, Bella was done. She rejected him and reclaimed what was hers, rising to the top with help from Victor, who'd been secretly in love with her for years.
When Ethan tried winning her back: "You don't want our child growing up fatherless."
Bella smiled mockingly. "The child's father isn't you."

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
