Introduction
When Dad told me he’d be away for a few days, I thought I’d finally get the freedom I’d always wanted.
Every single day was a nightmare with him around, always bringing loan sharks to mess everything up. Finally, he was leaving! I thought I’d be free.
But that was before he showed up, took me hostage, and declared me his exclusive bride. I’d heard about him before—everyone knew him as a public figure and a notorious Mafia boss.
Nicola DeSanto. That’s his name.
I felt my life crumble when I found out Dad had stolen something from him and even killed his fiancée. Cassandra, you’re in deep trouble now. I have to do whatever it takes to become his favorite.
Chapter 1
NEW YORK CITY
CASSANDRA.
“Your delivery is here,” I announced dropping the package at their front door and went back to my bike, I was about stepping on the gas when my phone beeped, my boss?
I picked it up, “Yes, Mr Noel?” I answered immediately putting on my helmet.
“Oh, Cassy, Where are you?” He asked while I checked around.
“I’m still in the Elite Villa, anything the problem?” I told him and I could hear him breathed out.
“Oh, That’s good, Someone placed an order and it’s around that area. Can you deliver the package with you to him?” He requested while my eyes ran to my wristwatch.
“Sure. Where?”
“DeSanto Villa garden,” He replied and with that I stepped on my gas.
“Copied, will be back in a jiffy,” I ended the call and drove out of the Elite Villa.
Some minutes later, I arrived at my destination. “Wow, this house is so big-“ I mumbled then step forward to click on the door bell, it rang for few seconds and someone’s voice came up from the other machine.
“Come in,” It said while I grasp onto the package like my life depends on it.
For what sake are they asking me to come in? They should-
I flinched when the machine came up again, “He’s waiting, don’t waste his time,” it warned sternly while I blinked my eyes repeatedly looking around and that was then my eyes came across the tiny camera above the gate.
Yeah, I forgot. There’s always an hidden camera around the riches.
I swallowed the lump on my throat and twisted the gate knob, I walked into building- no, I walked into the palace! My jaw couldn’t help but drop as I saw the gigantic garden in.
No hypocrisy, It’s so damn pretty! I wish I could stay here forever!
I was heading to the entrance door when I felt a shadow behind me but before I could even get the slightest chance to turn around, a spray penetrated into my nostril and before I could fathom whatever it was…I passed out.
Unpleasant smell filled my nostrils, awaking me from my sleep, I coughed out immediately. The smell was too strong for me to handle and no one need to tell me what smell it was, a wrapped pipe or cigar.
“Oh, she’s finally awake,” Someone’s voice interrupted me and I was forced to open my eyes, a man was standing at my front and he’s the one doing the smoke.
Wait, how did I get here? I checked the whole room but not a single thing I could recognize, it was empty and null. I gasped, have I been kidnapped?
But, I wasn’t tied?
I coughed harder, “W-where am I?” I summoned the courage to ask when the cough stopped a little.
The man smirked, “You don’t know here?” The man asked me while I shook my head.
He came to my front and squat, puff out his smoke directly on my face that I almost choked on the strong smell. “This is-“
“What are you doing Dre? Don’t you see she has been coughing?” Another cold voice cut him off abruptly and the guy at my front stood up immediately.
Dre. That’s his name! Why is he trembling so much? Oh, could that person be his boss? My heart hoped for mercy, he could release me!
I’m just an innocent girlie.
“I’m,, I’m sorry Don,” The man now known as Dre apologized immediately throwing his cigar away.
Don? Why is it sounding like we are shooting a mafia movie? Tsk, there has to be a camera, hehe.
The man came closer, his footsteps echoed jolting me out of my silly thoughts. His footsteps sound so much like a threat that when he got to where I sat, my soul melt away.
He drew out a chair and sat down, his leg crossed, his chest out and his eyes daring.
“Cassandra! am I right?” He asked with a smirk while I avoided his gaze. It was scary.
“Do you know him?” He asked dropping some pictures on the floor, I narrowed my eyes as I saw who was in the pictures.
“What…what’s my dad’s pictures doing here?” I finally said looking back at the man.
“I’m glad you know him. Did you know what your father caused me?” The man told me while I blinked my eyes repeatedly.
Dad is at it again! Loan sharks!
“Did he borrow money? I’m sure he will pay back-“ A scoff from him made him look at him.
“Borrow? Tsk, if he had borrowed wouldn’t it have been better? Your father stole my 30 billion dollars chain,” He blurted out and I gasped.
“30…30 what?”
“You heard me. Well, maybe it would have been better if that was the only thing he stole but what? Your fucked up father had the guts to kill my bride making lose billions!” He yelled getting up from his chair.
My heart skipped, Daddy killed someone? It’s getting more serious.. how,,,
I saw him loosen his tie then turned back at me, “Now, answer my question, Where is your father?” He growl dangerous that his looks could tear me apart.
“I, I don’t know. I haven’t seen him for 4weeks,” I replied trembling, now I get why Dre was trembling. It was because this man held a deadly aura.
Daddy, what have you gotten me into?
He smirked and he clapped victoriously like he’s won a lottery. “Good. I’m overwhelmed right now, I’m glad he left you behind, a pretty new toy, ain’t?” he mutters leaning towards my left ear
“I can just kill you right now and no one will know your whereabouts,” He whispers and it sent down fear to my spine.
Then suddenly I saw him bringing out something like a gun, no, it’s really a gun!!
Is this how things will end? Will I die here?
He came back to his seat, “Your father made me look aimlessly for him for months, I lost my money and bride and that only means one thing, he wants death,” He added and assembled his gun.
He stood once again and pointed the gun at my face, “Say your last prayer, little cat,” He told me and my throat dried up as my heart beats the loudest.
Is this how I die?
“No? What would be my gain if I waste you, little cat?” I suddenly heard him said, I opened my eyes, he has lowered his gun.
He licked his lips, “there’s something I can replace you with, isn’t it?” He added twisting the gun looking at me icily.
Fear took the best of me that I didn’t know when I blurted out with my eyes closed, “I will do anything! Wh..what do you want?” I tried not to sound too scared.
He dropped the gun and smiled, “Anything, Little cat?” He asked and I nod like an agama lizard.
He brought out a cigar, ““The request is at your front,” He lit his cigarette and puff it out dangerously,
“Replace the bride your father killed,”

The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.

My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.

I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
