Introduction
She was made a laughingstock in front of all the guests. In a fit of anger, she went and slept with a strange man on her wedding night.
It was supposed to be a one-night stand. To her dismay, the man refused to let her be. He pestered her like she had stolen his heart on that night.
Callie didn't know what to do. Should she give him a chance? Or just stay away from him?
Chapter 1
In the duty room of the hospital, Callie Norris was putting on her doctor uniform
Tonight was the first night of her marriage.
But when a colleague had asked Callie to take her shift for the night, she had gone straight to the hospital without hesitation.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Callie straightened her lab coat and smiled bitterly. No one cared where she went anyway.
All of a sudden, the door was violently kicked open from the outside, sending it crashing against the wall.
Before Callie could look up to see what was going on, she heard the click of the light switch, and the whole room became pitch black.
Scared out of her wits, Callie trembled, her hair standing on end.
"Who's-"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was slammed onto the desk. The items on the desk clattered to the floor, and a sharp knife was pressed against her neck. "Don't speak!" a voice threatened.
In the dim light, she could only make out a man's face covered in blood and a pair of fierce eyes.
The strong smell of blood filled her nostrils, and she knew this man was injured.
Perhaps it was her professional training that had taught her to stay calm in emergencies.
She gently bent her leg, trying to strike at the man's vulnerable side. But he noticed her movement immediately and clamped down on her restless legs with force.
"I saw him come this way."
Footsteps approached the door.
From the sound of it, they were about to open the door.
In a moment of desperation, the man lowered his head and kissed her lips.
Callie resisted, easily pushing the man away. He didn't use the knife in his hand to hurt her.
She froze for a moment.
Click!
Just then, the doorknob turned.
Callie made a split-second decision, tilting her head up to kiss the man, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Her voice trembled, but she tried to sound calm, "I can save you."
The man's Adam's apple bobbed up and down, and in the next second, he switched from passive to active. His hot breath fell on her ear, deep and sexy, "I'll take responsibility for you."
No, he misunderstood. She just wanted to put on a show.
As the door was pushed open.
She mimicked a sound she had heard on TV, a soft, alluring moan that made the man even more entranced.
It also made the person at the door's heart race.
"What the fuck! It's just a couple making out here! I can't believe they'd do this at a hospital."
The door opened a crack, letting in a bit of hallway light that fell on Callie. The man pressed his body against hers, blocking the view of the person at the door. In the dim light, only their intertwined, passionate silhouettes could be seen.
"That's definitely not Shane. He's badly injured. He wouldn't have the strength to do this, no matter how sexy that girl is.
"'You have to admit, that girl's really good at making slutty sounds."
"Shut up and move! If we can't find Shane, we're doomed!"
There were rustling sounds and footsteps fading away.
The man knew that his assailants had left, but he found that he couldn't move away from the woman. He licked his lips, his lust blinding his reason.
The crisis was solved now, so Callie tried to push the man away. But just as her palms pressed against the man's chest, she suddenly thought about her marriage.
Her whole life had been controlled by others, including her marriage
Her father, a man ruled by his greed, had forced her to marry into the Robinson family.
Her grandfather used to be the chauffeur of Charles Robinson, the patriarch of the Robinson family. As fate would have it, he died saving Charles's life in an accident.
The small company run by her family had accumulated massive debt and was on the verge of bankruptcy. Her cunning father knew that if he asked for money from the Johnston family, their favor with them would be spent. So he came up with a vicious plan to make his daughter marry Shane Robinson,Robinson's grandson.
In this way, their family would finally establish a more solid connection withthe Robinson family one that was bound by marriage.
Besides, given the Robinson family's wealth, they were sure to get a lot of benefits in the future
The Johnston family couldn't afford to refuse the proposition, or they would risk losing face in one way or another.
Shane was extremely dissatisfied with this arranged marriage, so he requested that his new bride never tell anyone that she was his wife and that she keep her maiden name.
But no one asked Callie what she wanted.
And to make matters worse, the groom never showed up at the banquet, eventhough no one outside either family was present.
Callie had been left alone at the banquet, her face white as a sheet.
She felt so humiliated! And she refused to accept it!
Maybe it was the atmosphere, or perhaps the overly intimate position they found themselves in, but a surge of rebellion that Callie had never dared to express suddenly erupted within her.
Her life, constantly controlled by others, had always been shrouded in darkness.
She chose to rebel by indulging herself!
Callie didn't resist much; she simply followed the man's lead, surrendering her first time a midst the pain.
...
Afterward, the man gently kissed her cheek, his deep voice hoarse with satisfaction. "I'll come back for you.," he said before quickly leaving.
Callie lay there for a long time, her waist aching from being pressed against the edge of the table.
Just then, her phone, precariously balanced on the table's edge, rang.
She reached out to grab it, and an urgent voice came through, "Dr. Ayers, there's a car accident victim at the emergency center. The injuries are severe, and we need you to come quickly."
Callie adjusted her voice and calmly replied, "Alright, I'll be there soon."
After hanging up, she stared blankly for a few seconds. Just now...
The disheveled clothes and the sticky feeling beneath her confirmed that it wasn't a dream. It had really happened. On her wedding night, she had been with a stranger...
It was the most rebellious thing she had ever done in her life!
But now wasn't the time to dwell on it. She quickly dressed and rushed to the emergency center.
It had been a busy night.
Returning to the duty room, Callie found it still in disarray.
She seemed to recall the events of that night, and her hands clenched slightly.
"Dr. Norris, thank you for covering my shift," Belinda Ayers said with a smile as she walked over.
Callie forced a smile, "You're welcome."
"My business is done, so you can go rest now," Belinda said, raising an eyebrow at the mess in the room. "What happened here?"
Callie turned her head, trying to hide the flicker of panic in her eyes. "I accidentally knocked things over. Since you're here, I'll head out."
Belinda found her behavior odd but didn't think much of it. She started tidying up the scattered items on the floor.
Just then, the director appeared at the doorway with Shane Robinson's assistant, Henry.
The director said, "She is the doctor who was on duty last night, Belinda ."
Henry walked in, glanced at Belinda's name badge, and said, "Come with me."
Belinda was a bit confused.
"Where are we going..."
"Come on, hurry up," the director urged, not giving her a chance to ask more questions. He pulled her along, saying, "Don't keep President Robinson waiting."

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.

Invisible To Her Bully
A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
