Fuzzy Melissa · Completed · 8.1k Words
Introduction
He was stabbed eighteen times and died right there.
I didn't call the police. Instead, I cleaned up every trace the killer had left behind.
Later, my mother-in-law grabbed my hands and cried, "You were there when my son died. Please, tell everyone who killed him!"
Our daughter was sobbing, too. "Mom, you and Dad loved each other so much. Tell them who did this so Dad can get justice!"
Even the police officer looked at me sternly. "Covering for a killer and obstructing an investigation are crimes, too. If you know anything, you'd better tell us everything."
I kept my face blank and replied calmly, "I was asleep in my room. I didn't see anything. Is that a crime, too?"
Chapter 1
When the people who wanted revenge finally came after us, my husband, who loved me more than anything, threw himself in front of me to protect me.
My husband, Matthew Harrison, was famous for how devoted he was to his wife.
In our twenty years of marriage, he remembered every little thing I liked.
Anything I casually mentioned wanting would be waiting on my vanity the next morning.
He knew I was afraid of thunderstorms, so no matter how busy he was, he'd take time off and come home to stay with me whenever it rained.
When I was diagnosed with kidney failure, he donated one of his kidneys to me without a second thought.
He was afraid I'd feel guilty, so he kept it from me for three whole years. I only found out during a routine checkup.
He was the kindest person in the world to me.
When the people who wanted revenge came to our house, Matthew reacted on instinct. He pulled me behind him and used his not particularly large frame to take all eighteen blows meant for me.
Even as the knife wounds pierced his body, all he could do was beg the killer to spare me.
After the killer left, I calmly cleaned the scene.
I wiped away fingerprints, footprints, and every spot in the house the killer might have touched.
I made sure not a trace was left behind.
When I was done, I went back to bed as if nothing had happened.
It wasn't until my mother-in-law Margaret returned from grocery shopping and found Matthew's body that she screamed and called the police.
Matthew had always been kind to everyone, so his brutal death caused a huge sensation.
The entire neighborhood was crowded with onlookers.
The police took the case very seriously. As the only person who had been home, I became the center of everyone's attention.
Margaret grabbed my wrist, crying so hard she could barely speak.
"Joanna, the security cameras caught someone breaking into the house that night."
She paused, then pointed at me.
"They were dressed in black and carrying a knife. You were home, weren't you?"
Her voice grew sharper.
"You must have seen something. So tell us..."
"Who killed Matthew?"
I looked at her without expression.
I said nothing.
Our daughter, Aurora, rushed home from college and broke down as well.
"Mom, you and Dad were so close. Tell them who the killer was. Let the police get justice for Dad!"
When I still didn't respond, Leonard Cooper, the homicide detective in charge of the case, fixed his sharp gaze on me.
His voice was stern. "Mrs. Harrison, concealing the truth and protecting a killer are forms of obstruction of justice. You were the only witness at the scene. If you know anything, you need to tell us everything."
I looked at their expectant faces, then replied in the same flat tone, "I was asleep in my room. I didn't see anything. Is that a crime?"
For the next several days, no matter how many times Detective Cooper questioned or summoned me, I stuck to the same story—
I'd been asleep in my room. I hadn't seen anything.
The police carefully examined the scene and performed an autopsy on Matthew's body.
But they still found no clues that could lead them to the killer.
With no evidence and me insisting that I hadn't seen a thing, the case eventually went cold.
A month passed without a breakthrough, and we held Matthew's funeral.
He had always gone out of his way to help and look after his relatives and friends, so many people came to pay their respects.
When they saw the warm, friendly Matthew reduced to a black-and-white portrait, grief filled every face. People wept openly.
Margaret cried so hard she fainted again and again.
I was the only one standing beside his portrait with a blank expression, showing no emotion at all.

Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.

Rejected By My Family, Desired By The Mafia

Then the truth came out.
Six months ago, Camille was finally brought back to the Laurent family. To protect the family reputation and prove their devotion to their bloodline, the Laurent patriarch transferred 35% of his personal shares into Camille’s name overnight, instantly making her one of the wealthiest heiresses in the country.
It brought anxiety to all the Laurent family. But what they don’t know…is that Camille never needed them.
Behind her elegant smile lies a woman filled with secrets powerful enough to shake the whole family. She's a miraculous healer capable of curing the incurable poisons.
Yet despite everything, her family still chooses Talia.

Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.

The brilliant strategist who wants me as his Luna.
The dangerous playboy who promises no one will ever touch me but him.

But in a place where love is a battlefield and lust is a weapon... falling in love might be the most dangerous thing I ever do.
Welcome to Elite Order Academy—where every desire has a price, and my body is the ultimate trophy.
Moonfire: Betrayed By The Alpha
Alpha Caden Blackwell believed those words would break me. That after three years of marriage marked by silence, humiliation, and quiet rejection, I would fear a life without him.
I did once.
As the Luna of the Shadowcrest Pack, I gave everything to a man my wolf recognized as her mate, enduring whispers, cold stares, and a pack that never truly accepted me. I stayed because I believed love required endurance. Because I believed patience would one day be rewarded.
That belief shattered the night Caden welcomed his former lover back into our home, along with a child he claimed as his heir. It ended the moment his choices nearly cost me my life and the life of one of my unborn pups. Leaving was no longer a matter of pride. It was survival.
Caden does not know the woman who walked away. He still sees the Luna who waited, who forgave, who loved without limits. He does not see Nova Ashton, a woman capable of rebuilding her identity and claiming a future on her own terms.
I will never crawl back.

Tango 2 the Alpha's Heart
My gaze snapped to his. He was smiling, causing my heart to skip a painful beat. Before I could respond, the music began, and my body instinctively reacted to the sweet melody.
I found myself molded to Lex's will, my feet irresistibly following the dance steps.
The crowd gasped as Lex pulled me into a more intimate position, his hands roaming over my body in a seductive manner.
The experience was both terrifying and magical, allowing me to feel every longing emotion through the dance.
I soon found myself lost in his arms.
When the music finally stopped, my arms were wrapped around his neck, his hands resting on my back, our noses almost touching. He gazed deeply into my eyes.
The ballroom fell silent.
Was he about to kiss me?

"I still can't believe she actually did it. Aria Hart, filing for divorce. Who saw that coming?"

Fated to the Enemy: The Alpha's Witch Bride
My touch tames his inner beast.
… Until I find another woman’s bite mark on his neck.
As a holy witch, I shouldn't be sneaking out for Zuri—a cursed shape-shifter from a rival clan.
But our forbidden heat is intoxicating.

I don't.
I walk straight to the blood-soaked beast, press my body against his, and tame him with a single, desperate embrace.

But as I pull back, my blood runs cold.
Right there, on the neck of the man I just risked my soul to save...
