Ninety-Nine Necklaces and One Goodbye
Piper Hayes · Completed · 8.4k Words
Introduction
Hardly anyone knew he'd been married for years. Or that his wife was me.
For five years, every time he went off to see his first love, Vivian Hale, another priceless necklace showed up in my jewelry case.
By the time the ninety-ninth one went in, he finally sensed something was off.
I'd stopped waiting up for him in tears. I'd stopped grabbing his sleeve and begging him not to go.
This time, I picked out the most expensive necklace in the city myself and laid the paperwork in front of him to sign.
He signed fast, and for once he actually tried to sweet-talk me. "When I get back, I'll take you to see the fireworks."
I tucked the papers into my bag and said okay.
What he didn't know was that it wasn't a purchase agreement for a necklace.
He'd just signed our divorce papers.
Chapter 1
Nora's POV
Ask anyone in Westbrook who the richest man in town was, and the first name out of their mouth would be Graham Thorne.
"When I get back, I'll take you on a trip."
I tucked the papers into my bag and said okay.
What he didn't know was that it wasn't a purchase agreement for a necklace.
He'd just signed our divorce papers.
Vivian's return was all over the news.
Graham sat in his office, glued to the TV. When I slid the auction purchase agreement over to him, he didn't even glance down. He just picked up the pen and signed.
That blue diamond necklace was the star lot of this year's fall auction. Plenty of people had kept their paddles up until the very end and still walked away without it. But to Graham, it was no different from me. Neither of us was worth a second look.
He didn't look away until the broadcast moved on to the next story, and he was still smiling.
He pushed the signed papers back to me and spun the pen through his fingers. "That's what, ninety-something necklaces now? You're probably one of the richest people in Westbrook at this point."
He sounded happy. But it wasn't me making him happy. It was the woman who was finally coming home.
"The diamond's the color of the ocean," I said. "I love it."
Graham was the one who fell first.
He'd chased me for a long time. I turned him down again and again, ninety-nine times, and he never backed off. The hundredth time he asked, I finally said yes and married him.
But that kind of passion burns out as fast as it flares up.
The first time Vivian came back to the States, it fell right on our first anniversary.
He'd booked the dinner himself, the table covered in candles and flowers. I sat there until the candles had burned down a good inch. Then he finally walked in, holding a velvet jewelry box.
"Nora, I'm sorry I missed our anniversary." He set the box in front of me. "Please don't be mad at me, okay?"
I could smell a woman's perfume on his collar. I didn't say a word about it.
That was the first time I forgave him.
I made myself a promise that night. He'd asked a hundred times before I agreed to marry him, so I'd give him a hundred chances. No more, no less. That would make us even.
After that, it pretty much became routine.
One call from Vivian, and he'd walk out on me. At first he still bothered making up excuses. Later he didn't even do that. He'd just leave a new jewelry box on the entryway table on his way out.
The second time, the third, all the way up to the ninety-ninth, I put up with it.
Today was the hundredth time. And the last.
The thought actually made me want to laugh, and I did. The weight I'd been carrying for five years suddenly seemed to be gone, and I just looked at him, completely calm.
Graham froze under my stare and turned his head away without thinking.
But right as he turned, I caught a flicker of something in his eyes. I couldn't tell if it was guilt, or if some part of him didn't want to lose me.
He was quiet for a few seconds. Then he said softly, "Once things calm down, I'll take you on a trip."
Back then, one sweet word like that from him would've kept me happy for days.
I would've grabbed his sleeve and begged him not to leave, begged him to stay with me just for one night. And every single time, he'd look down, pry my fingers off one by one, and say, "Are you out of your mind?"
He was right. I'd been out of my mind ninety-nine times.
But after today, I wouldn't have to be anymore.
At the bottom of that stack of papers he'd just signed was a divorce agreement.
In thirty days, the name Graham Thorne would have nothing to do with me ever again.

Bonds at War: The Virgin is Mine
Perhaps then they would stop controlling my every move. Maybe my brothers would stop resenting me. Perhaps I wouldn’t feel so invisible anymore.
No one believed I could do it—not even my mate, Alpha Jaxon Trevane.
The night I planned to tell him... I found him tangled in bed with my best friend.
Heartbroken and humiliated, I left everything behind and went to Elite alone.
But the academy isn’t the fairytale I dreamed about.

The brilliant strategist who wants me as his Luna.
The dangerous playboy who promises no one will ever touch me but him.
And the cold, possessive Alpha who watches from the shadows—and would destroy anyone who dares to take me from him.

Welcome to Elite Order Academy—where every desire has a price, and my body is the ultimate trophy.
Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
BROKEN TRUST
Neither of them knew she was carrying his child.
Emily’s affair didn’t just end her marriage—it erased the life she thought was guaranteed. Ryan left without looking back, carrying his anger like armor and leaving Emily alone with regret she would never outrun. Three years later, fate drags them back into each other’s world, along with a little girl who has Ryan’s eyes and a truth that shatters everything he thought he knew.
Old wounds reopen, grief masquerades as rage, and love refuses to stay buried. As parenthood binds them together and the past demands accountability, Emily and Ryan must face the question neither of them is ready to answer: is broken trust the end of their story… or the beginning of a love forged through loss, forgiveness, and brutal honesty?
The Legacy Game
When scholarship student Chris Linds stumbles onto a mystery someone has killed to protect, she becomes the next target. The only person standing between her and death is Ashen Ford, the academy's cold, untouchable Student Council President—and heir to one of Corvain's founding families.
As anonymous invitations summon twelve students into the legendary Legacy Game, alliances fracture, secrets surface, and every challenge brings another deadly truth to light. But the greatest secret isn't who will win.
It's why one winner vanished without a trace... and why someone will do anything to make sure history repeats itself.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Exchanging Vows: The Swapped Wife Is a Top Shaman
Moonfire: Betrayed By The Alpha
Alpha Caden Blackwell believed those words would break me. That after three years of marriage marked by silence, humiliation, and quiet rejection, I would fear a life without him.
I did once.
As the Luna of the Shadowcrest Pack, I gave everything to a man my wolf recognized as her mate, enduring whispers, cold stares, and a pack that never truly accepted me. I stayed because I believed love required endurance. Because I believed patience would one day be rewarded.
That belief shattered the night Caden welcomed his former lover back into our home, along with a child he claimed as his heir. It ended the moment his choices nearly cost me my life and the life of one of my unborn pups. Leaving was no longer a matter of pride. It was survival.
Caden does not know the woman who walked away. He still sees the Luna who waited, who forgave, who loved without limits. He does not see Nova Ashton, a woman capable of rebuilding her identity and claiming a future on her own terms.
I will never crawl back.
