Introduction
After being secretly sold for one night by her own boyfriend, Eliana wakes up alone in the bed of Blackthorn University’s most feared athlete, Darian Blackwood, the cold and dangerously handsome hockey captain rumored to come from a powerful werewolf bloodline.
She tells herself it meant nothing until two pink lines changed her life forever.
Now carrying the child of an Alpha heir, Eliana becomes trapped in a world she never knew existed… One filled with ruthless werewolf families, dangerous secrets, possessive instincts, and a man who cannot seem to stay away from her no matter how hard he tries.
Darian never planned to fall for anyone. Not with the pressures of his bloodline, a forced engagement hanging over his head, and a wolf that only brings destruction whenever he loses control.
But the more he learns about the girl he unknowingly hurt, the more obsessed he becomes with protecting her. Even from his own family.
As enemies close in and buried truths begin unraveling, Eliana realizes the terrifying Alpha athlete may be the only person willing to fight for her. And Darian realizes something. She was never just the girl from one reckless night.
She was his mate.
Chapter 1
He was losing control and he knew it. He knew something was wrong when he had his phone in front of him, a video of two people fucking on the screen, and he couldn't bring himself to jerk the cum out of his cock.
His hands weren't giving him the pleasure he needed anymore and this wasn't some random horny phase. He was having his rut and his wolf was slowly losing control, wanting something that he couldn't give.
In frustration, he slammed the phone down on the bed and threw suppressant pills into his mouth before gulping down a bottle of water. His vision turned red for a second but he slowly felt his body relax.
The suppressants would only work for a while. He knew that.
But practice was more important.
With a grunt of frustration, he made his way to the rink where other players were already stationed, waiting for him. He mumbled a quick apology to the coach and got on the field as practice began.
But every time someone bumped into him, he felt a fit of rage rush through him. He tried to keep it cool, but his wolf wouldn't stop crawling restlessly under his skin, and he could barely focus anymore.
Someone snatched the puck from his stick and shot it into the goalpost, making them cheer in victory. He let out a soft groan and returned to the bench, gulping down a bottle of water when his friend approached him from behind.
“What's up with you, man? You're distracted. And irritated. What's going on?”
“I'm fine, Mason.” He replied, brushing past him and returning to the rink. Practice started again and he tried to stay focused but one of his teammates accidentally bumped into him.
That was all it took to make him lose his mind as he tackled his teammate, punching him until he was beyond recognition.
The coach finally managed to separate them and wouldn't stop yelling at him for being so inconsiderate.
He left the rink in a hurry, his mind spinning with different thoughts. The national championship game was only a few days away and he couldn't bring himself to focus when he was the star of the team.
“Damnit, man, what's the problem? You're not like this.” Mason said, following him and he rubbed his face in frustration.
“I don't fucking know either! I'm gonna go see the doctor.” He replied and without asking, Mason followed him.
At the infirmary, the doctor examined him for a few minutes before letting out a sigh of despair.
“The suppressants you keep taking are killing your wolf from within, hence your irritation. You're in your rut, aren't you?” The doctor asked and he looked away.
“I can handle it myself—”
“No, you can't. You have a simple solution. Either you find your mate or you sleep with anyone to ease your pain. Or else, you'll keep suffering like this.” The doctor muttered and his fists clenched in frustration.
“Do I have to?”
“Unless you want your body to be permanently damaged, then you need to.”
He felt humiliated just at the thought of using someone to relieve his rut. He had been okay with jerking off to porn but now he had no choice but to actually sleep with a girl. Which was frustrating.
He wasn't like the rest of the guys who slept with anyone just because they wanted to.
“Can I at least get more suppressants?” He asked and the doctor immediately shook his head, making him sigh.
“Come on.” Mason dragged him out and they made their way to the locker room. The lecture hall opposite it was bustling with students but they walked into the locker room anyway because not everyone could walk in.
They didn't notice the girl standing beside the door outside the locker room.
“You need to fuck someone.” Mason said even though it made the other sigh. “Just this once, to get rid of this. You're the golden boy of the campus. You can definitely get any girl you want—”
“I don't want any girl. I'm not that promiscuous.”
“Just this once dude! Unless you want us to lose the upcoming game?” Mason asked.
He knew Mason was right. His wolf was beginning to affect his sleep, his emotional balance and his focus. He had no choice.
“I'll find you a girl. And you have to sleep with her.”
“What if I can't bring myself to do it? I'm a fucking virgin, man, all I do is wank to porn. I've never actually done it.” He said in worry but Mason patted his shoulder with a mischievous smile.
“What if I can help you?” A voice came from behind them and they both turned to see Tyler walk out from behind the lockers.
“How long have you been listening?” Mason said in shock and Tyler simply shrugged.
“Long enough to give you what you want. You need a girl, I can give you a girl.” Tyler replied but Mason looked unsure.
“What do you mean?” He asked and Tyler walked up to him with a photo of a pretty, curvy lady on his screen.
“She's a virgin too. Inexperienced. Perfect for what your wolf needs.” Tyler's voice was hushed and Mason exchanged glances with him.
“I gotta say, she's sexy. And probably the type your wolf would react to.” Mason muttered but his brows were furrowed.
He didn't know what to do.
“Will she agree?”
“Why not? Fun fact, she's been eyeing you for a while.” Tyler gushed and then shoved his phone into his pocket. “What do you say? Deal or no deal?”
“Deal.” He finally said and Tyler grinned.
“Great. But on one condition.”

But a year into our marriage, I began to notice something — a pattern.
Lucas's sexual appetite was intense — he wanted me almost every night. Yet every single month, he arranged a solo trip to send me away. I told myself it was his way of spoiling me.
Then a message arrived from someone called Sweet An.
Do you really know your husband?
From that day on, my life filled with shadows.
I suspected my husband of having an affair.
When Lucas and I made love, something felt wrong — his body too large, too much, like something I couldn't explain.
I heard sounds during sex — animal sounds, like something feral had crawled into bed with us.
My best friend Mia said: "There are men sick enough to let dogs fuck their wives."
The family doctor, Daisy, told me: "You could never stay by Lucas's side forever. Your background doesn't make you worthy of being his wife. Do you understand?"
I went looking for whoever had been tearing my marriage apart. I fought to win my husband back.
But the deeper I searched, the larger the secret grew — something far darker hiding beneath this supposed betrayal.
Does Lucas truly love me?
And why, out of everyone in the world, did he choose to marry me?
Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
