Rejecting the Lycan King
Lolita Winter · Ongoing · 127.7k Words
Introduction
Over the last year, my mind had been empty save for the thought of how I could slowly kill him —as how would he feel the agony he had caused because he stole the life of someone I loved the most.
If our paths crossed, I would make it unavoidable for him to not forget the anguish and contempt I would instill in him. That was my first plan... However, how could I defy fate and declare he was not my mate? I wanted to reject him.
No. I will reject him. ******
This book would be steamy and have more BDSM.
Chapter 1
With the silver knife, I stabbed him. I can't see his face, but I can see his blood-splattered body. He's not going to be able to withstand the number of stabs I gave him.
I did the right thing.
He assassinated the mate who was supposed to be mine.
He ended the life of the wolf I should have spent the rest of my life with. He has no right to live!
"AHHHHHHHH!"
I yanked the knife from his chest, intending to stab it again with my force and bury it too far in his heart, but...
"Elle!"
I awoke from my slumber. Sweat had gathered on my brow and down my neck. I was also catching my breath, and as I opened my eyes, I saw Hugo, the Alpha leader of the Shadow pack, my pack— his expression is full of concern.
I tapped my chest and took a deep breath.
That dream all over again.
I don't know if I'll be able to sleep well without being haunted by that nightmare.
I still can't see his face since it seems to be blank. I'm not sure what my opponent looks like, but my rage towards him is boiling up. I have the right to be outraged with him.
I dropped my foot to the floor and looked at Hugo with my dagger eyes.
I knew it was against the rules to be high in front of Alpha, but his unannounced presence in my room irritated me.
"Alpha, what are you doing here?" I lowered my sight and moved over to the table to get some water. I gulped it once and returned my focus to Hugo.
"Everything is in order. All we need is for you to depart."
My body went straight because of what he said. I swallowed many times in a row because I couldn't move while standing up; I felt like a stump that couldn't be trodden on, and it felt like someone was pointing a knife at me.
The perspiration on my hand was the reason I released my palms from the clasp. I took a big breath before responding to what he mentioned.
"Don't let someone come after me. Archer is no longer alive, and you have no obligation to me since I shall take measures to avenge him." I spoke it firmly, and there was no hint of any emotion other than rage in my voice.
Alpha Hugo's cousin is Archer Poer.
Archer embraced me and denied the reality that I was merely a beta and not his true mate. Nonetheless, we both feel we can breed with one another.
"In front of my cousin's grave, I made a vow to him that I would take care and protect you—"
"I'm capable of dealing with myself. I am Elle Harris, the General of the Army of Minbury Stronghold!"
I could see the surprise in his eyes.
He had the ability to murder me in these seconds if he ever desired, but I could see he had no intention of doing so.
I'm baffled as to why he feels compelled to remain here next to me regardless of the fact that he no longer has that obligation. This is his opportunity to chase down his Luna in order to have a companion with whom to head the Shadow pack.
I am planning to leave the pack once I get the vengeance I am seeking.
When his canine tooth came out, I was able to restore my composure. I was still standing but didn't even feel terrified at that point. Since Archer's death, the word ‘death’ has become normal to my ears and eyes. I'm prepared for anything that comes my way.
He stormed out of my room without waiting to hear what I had to say next.
I was surprised.
I don't put any pressure on him to give me everything I want or to tolerate what I'm doing right now. He has every right to be angry since I am just one of those who are lower to him and who bow before him when he orders me to do so.
I decided to forget about what had happened and went about my business of preparing.
When I strolled to my bedroom, I had a look at the gown I was planning to wear. The dress and mask for the masquerade hosted by the royal Darkmoon pack cost me some numismatic coins. I even spent part of my own gold and bronze on them.
If I don't spend money, I will miss a good chance of getting into their territory. I grip the "moon mask", which could only be seen through my eyes, and look at the black balloon gown in front of me.
Because our paths were going to cross, I wanted to confine him to the silver cell while I slowly tormented him until he met his death.
When I stepped out, the carriage was already waiting for me.
I have never seen Hugo again, even my eyes search for him.
Some wolves part of my group were waiting for me since, even though I am a beta female, I was in charge of the Shadow pack's military operations. Perhaps the reason I have the bravery to confront my enemy, the Lycan King, who murdered my beloved, is because I am confident in my ability to defeat him in combat.
I boarded inside the carriage and flew away from my home territory.
After reaching the end of the terrain held by the Shadow pack, the carriage came to a complete halt since I said that this was the only location where they should bring me to.
I don't want them to become extinct any longer. They also departed right away and I was worried that someone may come upon them. I rearranged my attire and tried for a means to avoid them seeing that I wasn't a member of their pack.
I am not sure if I could do it without getting discovered. I have a unique ability to conceal my scent, which only Luna and Alpha have or some royals, which allows me to blend in. I don't tell anyone about it because I don't want them to become weary of my presence.
Now, I'm only going to rely on my abilities, but I'm worried that, since it's the Lycan King I'm going to confront, he'll be able to determine who I am.
However…
When I tried to move—
I couldn't…
Because someone was gripping my shoulder and preventing me from taking a step forward.
Who the hell is this? How long has he been here?
“Don't try to move,” a dead voice whispered.
"I can smell you, woman," the voice from behind me is chilly and deep. It seems like it could scratch your body down to your soul.
It is difficult to explain why I felt afraid in the coldness and tension of his voice, given that I am a General of the Army and my hair won't stand up dramatically.
Even the wolf that lived inside of me appeared to be on the run. As sweat formed on my brow, I cautiously pulled the injection tube that I had inserted into my stockings.
I swallowed one after another, and in a split second, I withdrew my body away from him...
Injecting it into his neck. I asked the medical doctor from our pack about this needle injection.
Slowly, his grasp on my neck began to ease, and when I turned to face him, his whole body was naked.
The heat radiated from my face all the way to the back of my neck. I looked him in the face, and his features were nothing to laugh at.
Even when his eyes are closed, his visage attracts respect. His face was ablaze with pride. Thick brows, red lips that look good even when he is not wearing anything in his lips, and lengthy eyelashes. He also has long hair and a thick and shaggy black beard, which he displays with dignity.
If you look into his closed eyes, you will not feel any sympathy, but rather terror will take hold of you.
After shaking my head, I removed my views from my mind and covertly dragged the guy into a large number of trees. In the past I often carried bodies easily. However, I would have lifted his body, but this is the first time I have ever had to deal with not being able to lift the body of an adult male wolf.
I'm not allowed to kill any wolves since I don't want to create any conflict between the two packs. In order to avoid injuring innocent victims, it was only reasonable that I carried the injection with me that I had given to the man.
He will be unconscious for two days as a result of the shot. Perhaps on the day he awoke, I had murdered their Lycan King and had managed to flee from this land.
I re-adjusted my posture and went on my trip to find myself a way to the masquerade ball.
I came upon a route where there were two guards stationed at the entrance of a massive gate. They were clad in royal metal armor and armed with long firearms. Aside from that, Darkmoon is exceptional in that they can wield a silver bullet rifle without even a shudder.
When it comes to the Shadow pack, I was the only one with a gun that had a silver bullet in it.
I disguised my scent and walked slowly so that they wouldn't be able to detect my presence at the same time.
I hurriedly slid out the two injections out of my stockings and implanted them into their necks as soon as I could.
Although I was having difficulties moving due to the gown I was wearing, they dropped to the ground and I easily picked them up to take them into the dark woodland and conceal myself. It was just a minute before I got back to where they had been standing earlier.
The gate swung open, and the obnoxious wolves emerged. Despite the fact that the sun was still up, a large number of guests arrived at the ball early.
I approached them one by one, knowing that no one would identify me since, apart from the point that I was wearing a mask, they would not be able to smell me. They are all royal and a member of Darkmoon.
There are also other packs, which are royal packs from the Lone Pack and Mystic Pack, or even the Hunter pack itself. They are aligned with Darkmoon, and as a corollary, commerce between their respective kingdoms is unhindered by restrictions.
I think for a stroll first since I knew I'd be waiting a long time to meet their Lycan King, thus I decided to do so.
It is still unclear how I will identify him since I haven't seen his face anywhere yet. Although he seems to be nothing more than a myth that exists in history, interpreting the narrative of wolves, I have never seen his face, and it has been stated that he is only seldom seen in masses.
Nonetheless, I don't believe that because, after all, what kind of Lycan king would refuse to appear in front of his disciple?
Even when I walked inside the palace, no one noticed me.
Once I opened the door and saw what was indoors, I realized how ravenous the Darkmoon pack had gotten. Because they had conquered enormous territories by combining forces, it was difficult for us to leave the tiny area we had occupied because we were afraid that if we ventured beyond, we would be slain by the royal guards who were stationed all over the place.
Darkmoon was obsessed with power, which is why the mate I hadn't been with for a long period of time perished as a result of the attacks. If I come across that Lycan king, I want to make him suffer the consequences of what he has done to me.
He took away my shot at a decent future.
I tried to come out from behind the palace, completely unaware of how many hours had gone.
I raised my eyes to the dark space. Even though it was already night and just half moon light was obtainable from the single torch, I was taken aback by the beauty of the garden.
However, as I heard crackles, I ran for cover.
Did they discover that someone had infiltrated their territory? Making sure no one could see me, I also took great care to conceal the wolves that I had injected earlier.
“I found you again.”
When someone spoke in my ear, my body hair leapt on up and my wolf within roared in wrath.
I was about to go back through the door when it happened.
“It is because of your treachery that I will not allow you to go. I will make certain that you always growl my name. How dare you..." He breathed.
"...not to recognize the Lycan king."

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.

His expression twists.
"Fuck no."

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
