Wiping down his laptop, I stumbled upon an open online document—a five-year log of sexual encounters.

Trembling, I read through all 99 pages of the online log.
So this was how many times my husband had cheated on me.
When no tears were left, I pulled out the two-way radio I hadn’t touched in six years.
“Three days. The rose returns to its place.”

While cleaning my husband's study, I accidentally knocked over his coffee.
As I wiped the computer, I accidentally opened an online document - it was a five-year record of sexual encounters.

The other administrator of the document had the ID: CilantroDigger. I knew who this was - Mia, Ethan's childhood friend.
With trembling hands, I read through all 99 pages of the online document.
So Ethan had cheated this many times.
When I had no more tears left to cry, I pulled out the walkie-talkie I hadn't used in six years.
"In three days, Black Rose returns."
Chapter 1
"Lila, what are you doing?"
Ethan, wearing a custom-tailored suit, stood nervously at the study door looking at me.
I deleted the browsing history and quickly opened a movie on the computer.
"You're back? I was bored, just watching a movie."
He breathed a sigh of relief, his expression relaxing. He walked over to me and looked curiously at the computer screen.
"Baby, look at your swollen eyes from crying. It breaks my heart to see you like this."
Ethan gently touched my cheek, his eyes full of affection.
If I hadn't just seen that online document, I would have really believed I was his true love.
"Look, I specially brought you an anniversary gift. Do you like it?"
A set of top-tier diamond jewelry, clearly very expensive, but I couldn't feel any joy.
Seeing my lack of interest, Ethan thought I had low blood sugar and immediately called the servants to serve dinner.
At the dining table, wine, candles, and rose petals were all carefully arranged, but I just felt sick.
"Lila, I caught this grouper myself this morning while fishing. It's really fresh, try some."
I don't know if it was the fishy smell or the sight of Ethan that made me sick.
I ran to the bathroom and couldn't stop throwing up.
Ethan kept gently patting my back, his face full of worry.
"Lila, what's wrong? Is your stomach acting up again?"
Of course, he wouldn't guess I might be pregnant.
Years ago, when I saved him from a kidnapper's gun, I was stabbed in the uterus with a knife. The doctor said my uterus was damaged and I could almost never get pregnant again.
That was also when I lost my first child with Ethan.
Thinking about what happened before, my nose stung and tears were about to fall.
A familiar phone ringtone sounded, and the gentle rubbing on my back stopped.
I clearly heard a woman's sobbing voice on the other end of the phone.
Ethan covered the phone's receiver with one hand and turned to explain to me,
"Lila, Mia got into a car accident. She doesn't know what to do. I'm going to help her. I'll make up our date when I get back."
He turned to leave.
Although I already knew Mia was his priority.
I still reached out and gently tugged at his sleeve, my voice pleading,
"Ethan, don't go. I have good news to tell you."
He paused, but the next second, hearing Mia's crying through the receiver, he pushed my hand away.
He casually brushed me off,
"Lila, wait for me to come back."
I laughed, watching his back as my laughter grew louder.
Ethan, my body has recovered. Maybe right now there's already your child in my belly.
Too bad he won't come into this world.
Although I had my suspicions, I still drove to the hospital for a checkup.
The results came back quickly - seven weeks pregnant.
Thinking of my first child, I felt like my baby had come back to find me. I asked the doctor to let me listen to the heartbeat a bit longer.
I gently touched my lower abdomen,
"Baby, I'm sorry."
I scheduled an urgent abortion with the doctor for later.
"Are you really not keeping this child? I know how much you've suffered these six years trying to get pregnant."
"No, I can't let my child be born into a family where the father doesn't want him."
On the way to the operating room, I saw Ethan holding Mia tightly.
Seeing my expression, the nurse pushing my bed explained:
"That's the most loving couple in our hospital. That lady is three months pregnant, and her husband hasn't missed a single prenatal checkup. He's even filled an entire notebook with precautions."
"Today the lady apparently had a minor fender bender while driving, just bumped her forehead a little, but her husband got so worried he insisted she stay in the hospital for observation today. He's so devoted."
Listening to the nurse describe their sweetness, the wound in my heart that hadn't yet healed was torn open again.
Just before entering the operating room, I received a text from Ethan:
[Something came up at work today, have to work late, don't wait up]
