The Alpha’s Slave Mate
Snow Above Story · Ongoing · 30.9k Words
Introduction
I was too embarrassed to look anywhere else, so I forced my eyes to focus on his face while I blushed hysterically.
The one word, four letters, that he said after opening his mouth altered my life.
'MINE,' he yelled.*****
On the night of Marina‘s birthday, she left because she had overheard Benjamin and his friends, including Ray planning to rape her. She didn't want that to happen to her, so she fled and ran into the forest and there she ran into Ryan King, alpha of the North Pack.
It was love at first sight. They both fell in love, and that was the beginning of a beautiful love story. However, unlike every love story, theirs included pain, envy, heartbreak, hurt, deceit and many other vices against their purest intentions.
Will their love be able to stand the test of time? Will the issues they had in the past break them up for good or make them stronger?
Will Marina ever find out who killed the only woman she called mother? Will Rawland and Benjamin find peace knowing that the person who they thought was responsible for the death of their wife and mother is dining with the enemy? Will Ryan King and Marina live happily ever after?
Chapter 1
Marina here. I believe I am a member of the crystal blue pack. I'm not sure if I can claim to be a part of a pack that tortures its own members for their own sick amusement.
Anyone who felt the need to hit something—or in my case someone—could use me as a walking punching bag. Living among these people, who you had assumed would be there to protect you and spare you any further misery, was a living hell.
I wasn't a loner by choice, but I was one anyway. Since I was the weakling, it was simple for anyone to take advantage of me. I was the least strong member of my pack. I wasn't always frail, but as the beating got worse over time, I stopped hearing my wolf.
She may have been too weak after all the beatings I took over the years, or she may have been angry that I never stood up for myself. But things weren't always this way.
There was a period in my life when I was a little bit content. My parents abandoned me in a basket at the outside of the pack area, it was revealed to me when I was old enough to comprehend it. Border patrol discovered me and returned me to the pack home.
Natasha adopted me shortly after that and reared me as her own. She only had one son, and after giving birth, a healer from a distant pack informed her that she couldn't have any more kids. That, I believe, was one of her motivations for taking me in.
Living with Rawland (the alpha), Natasha, and their baby Benjamin made me happy. I was given their last name and my name by Natasha. They were peaceful, kind, and loving.
They consistently prioritized their personnel and saw to it that everyone was treated fairly. But neither that nor my delight did for very long. When I was six years old, Natasha passed away, and with her, my joy.
Following Natasha's demise, Everyone said I was to blame for her demise. She lost her life defending me from a rogue when one of them attacked our pack. When the attack started, she had advised me to remain hidden in a passageway, but I didn't heed her advice. It happened when I came out of concealment to find her since I was too afraid to remain in the tunnel by myself.
She briefly seemed preoccupied as she begged me to return inside. One of the rogues lunged at her and bit into her neck in the span of a split second. Everyone held me responsible for Natasha's demise when she passed away. She died defending me from a criminal at the time.
All I could do was stared helplessly as her once-vibrant eyes began to lose their life. I raced over to her lifeless body lying on the ground and yelled at the top of my lungs. She hit the ground with a thump, blood dripping from her neck, and the rogues fled.
I sobbed while getting blood all over me as I clutched her lifeless corpse. My life began to spiral out of control when the alpha learned what had transpired from a warrior present in the room.
I could still see the hatred in his eyes even at the age of 17, as if it had just happened. Because he would frequently bring up how I had stolen his partner from him, I knew he held me responsible for what had transpired.
He started acting cold and distant after that. He would discipline me for simple things, like forgetting to clean the house, after she passed away.
Yes. The entire pack house, which was inhabited by at least 50 members, needed to be cleaned. Although I never complained, I always felt that I deserved everything that was happening to me right now.
If I had just paid attention, Natasha—the lady I recognized to be my mother—might still be among us today. I'll spend the rest of my life taking the brunt of their punishment until they forgive me because it was my fault.
POV of Marina
I pleaded with my mother, "Please stay," as tears streamed down my face. As I begged for her with my eyes, I sniffled a little in terror.
"Sweetheart, I have to go. She gave me a kiss on the forehead and then pulled back, a comforting grin on her lips, saying, "You have to stay in here and don't come out until I come get you.
She quietly locked the door after leaving by walking out. In the hidden tunnel, I sat on the floor and rocked back and forth. Because there was nobody else in here to keep me company, I was already afraid.
I became alarmed when I heard screaming outside the door. What if she suffered a setback?
I could just sit here and do nothing, but what could a six-year-old possibly do? Running into the hallway, I didn't stop to consider it as I saw my mother being surrounded by four wolves. She assessed them while remaining in human form
She glared at me and implored me to go back into hiding, but all I did was stand there motionless, my eyes widening in terror.
Then it took place. She was suddenly assaulted by a wolf that bit into her neck from behind. As I remained motionless, a cry of dread escaped my lips, I remained stationary because I was terrified to move. From where I was standing, I could hear the sound of bones breaking as the wolf snapped her neck. The wolf released her and scuttled away.
Her lifeless eyes looked back at me as her body collapsed to the ground with a thump. I ran over to her motionless body and gave her a bear embrace. I didn't care that her blood was all over me. My face was buried in her chest as I sobbed uncontrollably, tears flowing down my face.
‘’ No!” As I thrashed her body and screamed, tears continued to stream down my face.
I pleaded with her, shaking her body, "Please come back to me." I pleaded, crying even harder, "Mom, please."
You are entirely at blame. My father roared and ran to his immobile partner. He sobbed while holding her body close to him.
This is entirely your fault, he yelled. “No. Not me. I stumbled and said, "I did nothing. He barbed his fangs at me and yelled, "This is all your fault."
He comes over to me, and I flee in terror.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."

I was so, so stupid.
