Chapter 1
CARLA’S POV.
I adjusted the folded white towels sitting in my arms as I headed straight for the laundry room so I could have them thrown with the others for washing. It was located on the far end of the house so I increased my pace to get there faster. Pushing the door open, I stepped in to see a total darkness.
Damn!.
I cussed as my right leg hit an object and ran my hands over the wall to find the light switch.
I could hear a sound coming from near and I stopped in my tracks to listen well to it.
It sounded like moans. Moans of a female.
Unclear of what was going on, my left fingers found the switch and pushed it down.
The room becoming clearer.
My eyes widened. I gasped softly as my eyes landed on them. Alpha Dawson and a she-wolf. Not just any but an Omega. A staff as myself. His cock was inside her while she laid on the table with both legs spread widely, hanging on his shoulders.
“ I’m sorry Master. I never knew..” My words trailed off as my eyes glued to the pile of clothes littered on the floor.
It felt a little too awkward for me to be here, see this and them together. It felt like I was invading their privacy and I just…
He ran his fingers through his hair as his eyes met mine but I couldn’t stand there, stay there to watch this so I turned around and run.
I continued to run till I got far from the laundry room, far enough to shake the image of his prying angry eyes from my mind.
I had always knew Alpha Dawson for his promiscuous lifestyle but never did I think that he would stoop this low or go this far.
I pushed the thoughts aside and mixed with the other servants to clean up the rest of the house.
“ Carla!.” Someone yelled and I staggered in fear, jotting back to reality.
“ Smith. You scared me.” I confessed truthfully and let out the air I had held in.
Suddenly I felt relieved to be away from there. I was more than glad to see my best friend.
“ Why?. Did something happen?.” He asked curiously, his eyes keen on me.
“ No. No, of course not.” I lied and quickly added. “ Are you done with your share of the portion?.”
I wasn’t ready to discuss the Alpha’s personal matters with him. Not because I cared but because I knew what the punishment might be.
I watched him nod negatively.
“ Not yet. The setting up seems a little more difficult than I thought.” He replied. “ What about yours?.” He asked.
I gulped down the lump of saliva stuck in my throat as I thought of what to respond with. My duty and that of the other Omega, Joyce, was to gather the clothes and wash them in preparation for Alpha Dawson’s ceremony.
But what was I to say?.
“ Carla!.” He called out, snapping me out of my thoughts again.
“ Huh!.” I responded, looking up at him.
Should I tell him? Wouldn’t he think I was crazy? How would he react to it?.
I wondered.
“ What are you thinking about? Tell me. I am your best friend you know.” He said.
Smith was right. He had been my best friend for years. He had been the only one who treated me well when I first got here. Months after I was sold off by the captives. I had no one to talk to and no one was ready to put me through anything.
Smith had showed up one day with his half loaf of bread and he was willing to share with me.
“ Let’s be best friends forever.” Had been his exact words and since then it had stuck in my mind. The words.
Do best friends keep things from one another?.
I asked myself and dragged in a shaky breathe.
Maybe I could tell him. He was my best friend after all.
“ Back in the laundry, I…..”
“ Hi, Carla!.” A familiar feminine voice cut in and I looked up to see her standing in front of me.
Joyce!.
The little slut.
“ Hi, Joyce.” I responded between clenched teeth.
“ Housekeeper Ann asked that you show in the laundry room now.” She informed and I raised my brows at her.
“ Why?.” I asked. I didn’t trust her. Not one bit.
If Joyce could do such with the Already ha then I was certain she could do more. I have never really liked her right from the very start because of her rude she usually is.
Guess now I know why.
“ If I were you, I wouldn’t keep Housekeeper Ann waiting.” She responded and I tut softly.
She was right about that. Housekeeper Ann was not one to keep waiting. She was so vile and cruel that she could use literally anything on the servants just to punish them. I had heard stories of her doings and seen some of them. For example, the servant she had burnt with an hot iron just because she forgot to add salt to the family meal.
Michelle. That was the poor girl’s name and till now Michelle barely said a word to anyone.
“ You should go now. I will see you after work and you can tell me what if was you were about to say.” Smith said and I looked his way to send him a forced smile.
I stood up and walked with Joyce back to the laundry room. The place where the whole headache had started.
At first I had expected to see Alpha Dawson so he would scold me or threaten me but instead it was really Housekeeper Ann. She really wasn’t lying after all.
“ Are these the royal towels you were told to drop in the washing machine with the others?.” Housekeeper Ann asked in a hoarse voice, her eyes squirted to glare angrily at me.
I looked on the floor to find them there, scattered all over and dirty too. Much more dirty than they were before.
“ Ye….Yes Housekeeper An….”
Was I supposed to say no? Given that I never littered it on purpose plus it looked so dirty, as if Joyce had walked all over it just to put me in trouble.
“ And why is that?.” She questioned, cutting into my words. Her upper lip raised to hide her mole under her nose hole.
“ I…I…” I stammered and looked back at Joyce. I didn’t know what to say.
Was I to come clean and become the enemy of a powerful yet promiscuous Alpha?.
“ Talk!.” She yelled angrily at me. Her breathe reeking of ginger or was it garlic?.
Her Brown apron looked so dirty that I was starting to wonder if she ever washed it. Her scent too made me wonder if she ever took a proper bath aside from the constant beads that rolled down her forehead and armpits everyday.
“ I’m sorry. I was just….I got dizzy so I decided to step out for some air.” I lied and watched the folds in her forehead deepen.
Housekeeper Ann was so strict that it made me wonder if it was really her true nature or she hated working here.
Maybe she despised us instead.
Whatever it was, I hoped she would heal from it.
“ Are you here to take breaks or serve the Alpha?.” She asked.
My stomach tightened at the mention of him. The arrogant, proud Alpha. The Alpha I hated the most.
“ Answer me!.” She yelled and raised her stick to hit me on the right shoulder.
I groaned slightly and bit my lower lip, trying not to cause a tear or burst my lip.
“ Serve the Alpha.” I responded in a soft tone that sounded like a whisper.
Deep down I hated that I had to serve him but this was what we the Omegas were limited to. We didn’t really have a live of our own.
“ Louder!.” She ordered.
“ Serve the Alpha.” I responded enough for her to hear and groaned inwardly.
Why would anyone what to serve an arrogant Alpha? One that acted all high and mighty. One that took joy in the sadness of the Omegas.
Alpha Dawson and his friends was known to bully my kind and I inclusive.
“ Good.” She replied with a nod.
I watched a smile curl up Joyce’s lips and my blood boil hot in my body.
“ You too!.” She turned to Joyce. “ Why weren’t you at your work post?.” She asked, her brow raised.
“ I’m sorry Housekeeper Ann. I had gone out to get Carla so she could help with the carrying of the laundry basket in Alpha’s room.” Joyce lied.
She lied and it made me what to snap at her and tell the Housekeeper that it wasn’t so but instead I said nothing. She was the Alpha’s slut.
“ Good! Keep that up and you might get into my good book soon.” She replied and turned back to me. “ I want this place clean by the time I am back.” She informed and walked out of the room.
“ What was that about?.” I asked angrily.
My eyes on her. My palms formed into fists that I tried to not land on her round cheeks and wipe off that smile.
“ What are you talking about?.” She responded feigning ignorance.
“ Lying to Housekeeper Ann. You and I both know you were never looking for me.” I snapped.
I watched her laugh dryly for a minute.
“ What are you going to do about it? Huh!.” She dared and moved closer to me, closing up the inch between us. “ Will you beat me?.” She dared.
I scoffed.
“ I would rather dig my fingers into a mud than put them on a flirty wolf like you.” I cussed.
She made my blood boil badly but at the same thing she disgusted me. Being in this same room disgusted me. I could still hear her moans in my head and the image of her holding onto the table standing at the corner behind me came rushing in as I tried to not puke.
“ Really?.” She asked and smirked. “ Is it that or you are just jealous that I beat you to it first?.” She added.
“ Beat me? To what?.” I asked, curious and confused.
Joyce was sometimes known for making up things so I wasn’t surprised that she would say something so insane.
“ I know you want Alpha Dawson too. So badly that you eye him every single time when….” She was saying when I land my right palm on her face.
That was it. That was the limit. That was how far I could go. How far I could let her talk to me this way.
How dare she? How could she try to match me with the Alpha? That disgusting fellow.
“ Don’t you ever talk to me in such a manner again or else you will have you to blame.” I threatened and walked out on her, ignoring the order of the Housekeeper and her angry stare.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The door slammed.
