Chapter 1
"take that trash girl away from here!"
I heard my stepmother say as the tall hefty men grabbed me. I looked at my father hoping he would say something to stop them but all I could see was the relief in his eyes.
"Aren't you going to do anything?? Do you hate me this much??"
I managed to say, as I was being led out. My father gave a heavy sigh before speaking.
"Shut up. Just cooperate and you'll be fine. They're only going to torture you a little. "
He said with so much evil in his countenance that I could hardly believe that that was my dad.
He quickly hurried to one of the hefty men when we were outside and thanked him.
"Tell the Boss I appreciate his kindness so much. I hope he uses this to forgive my crime against him."
"Shut your filthy mouth. What gives you the right to talk to me?" One of the men barked at him.
I couldn't understand all that was going on but I had a really bad feeling about it.
Suddenly, two men barged into the house and accosted my father. He began pleading immediately and ordered them to take one of his daughters. And of course, the stepmother wouldn't let her daughter be taken.
I felt like my nightmares had just gotten worse.
And now, here I was, being dragged away to a place I'd got no clue about. I could only hope that I'd still be alive the following day.
As we got into the car, the man wore a mask over my head. I didn't scream anymore. I knew I was in danger, so I began saying my last prayers. I felt I would no longer see sunlight.
The car drove at full speed. Why were these men driving so fast like we were trying to escape from zombies? I felt the car come to a halt, then I heard the keys of an automated sound. I fought back imaginations of where we were but I could surely guess that it wasn't the dirty warehouse I'd presumed.
After we drove in and alighted from the car, one of the men started to shove me. He shoved me so hard that I fell. My arm scratched on the surface of the concrete floor and I shrieked a little in pain.
"Get the hell up! "
He ordered me and my eyes got watery immediately.
"I'm so sorry. I just ...I just.." he interrupted me by pulling me up to my feet.
"The Boss should quickly do away with a wuss like you. Though, you're pretty. I'll give you that. Perhaps I could have a little taste of you before the Boss wastes your pretty little head on a pike." He bragged, as his hand fumbled one of my breasts.
I hated what he was doing but that hardly mattered at the moment. My brain spun when he said The Boss would have my head on a pike. That means I was going to get killed.
"What...what do you mean my head on a pike?" I asked with so much fear.
"What do you think it means? " He asked, with his hand, still on my breast. This was when his partner brought his hand down.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Are you crazy? How dare you touch the Boss' meat before he does?" He looked enraged like he was about to pull out his gun and shoot. The tension felt like fabric that you could touch.
"Enough! Who's this?" I heard a third voice and footsteps. I imagined that person to be the Boss but he wasn't.
"Trash from that George fella who stole from the Boss and almost led the rivals straight to him. " One of them responded.
"Is this how he chooses to atone for something so heinous??" His voice was getting hoarse as he spoke.
In my mind, I found what my dad had done badly. I could understand why the men were cruel to me, that one dared to molest me. I didn't know so much about gangsters or mafia and how they lived. But from what the other guy said, Dad nearly got them in trouble. He even stole from them. Now, I had to be the one to face the consequences. What else could I do?
"Well, I hope the Boss does away with this one quickly." The third man concluded as they kept shoving me.
When it seemed like we'd entered a room, the mask over my head was finally taken off. I realized I'd spoken too soon. Even though it seemed like we were coming into a modern environment, I found myself in a dusty old warehouse. Exactly as I'd imagined. As I kept scanning the environment, I noticed bloodstains on the walls and the floor.
"I...I don't suppose those are animal bloodstains." I said, with a shaky voice.
One of the men roared in laughter.
"Oh, yeah. Animals. Just, the higher animals."
"And humans are considered, higher animals, right?"
They both laughed with so much sarcasm.
"Perhaps you both will have your blood stain the walls next."
A voice said. Smooth and silky. Almost like a lullaby during the day.
I turned around and didn't realize my eyes had expanded at what-or who I saw. Immediately, one of the men smacked me hard on the face and I fell to the ground. My mouth was filled with a little blood as I spat the rest out.
"You don't move unless you're asked to." He said, hoarsely.
"Get up." The voice commanded, and I found myself doing so without question.
He walked up to me. I didn't dare look in his eyes but he tilted my face up slowly. As I brought my head up and my eyes met his, I could hear thunderclaps in my heart. His eyes were a gorgeous green. Diving deep into mine, I lost my breath and found myself watching him with all of my heart and soul.
"You're from George." He said, as his hair fell on both sides of his face.
"I-I'm Regina..." This time, he smacked him hard on the face.
As I was about to fall, he grabbed me by my waist.
"You're useless," he said, in a hoarse tone, and let me drop to the ground.
"Is this how George intends to atone for his crime against me??" He roared. My heart skipped as I heard his voice thundering in my ears.
"Get her out of my sight!"
"Boss, do we kill her?!"
"Bring me her bloody head!"

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
